Overall this is very nice. Marty, who works nights is a little cheeky, but who isn’t that works nights? Mobile app for check-​in was great — I could change my arrival time easily and they turned down my bed, which is a nice touch. My suggestion is that you upgrade your mobile check in process so that we don’t have to wait in line just to pick up a key.
The room was beautifully appointed and roomy with nice dark woods, a spacious desk (usually they’re nominal), extra pillows and towels. It had a refrigerator but it was empty. And I think charging $ 3 for a bottle of water (available in room) when the rate is $ 339 is over the top penny pinching. Wifi was free. HBO was not. The shower had significant temperature control issues.
Room service and the food overall — in room and the restaurant — was excellent! A true shining star. And it’s reasonably priced and the food always arrived hot to my room.
The best part of the whole experience was the service and the food. The front desk was average but the room service and house staff was very engaged, efficient, and friendly.
On company money I would give it 4 stars. If I were paying it would get 3. Although it was mostly excellent and I nit-​picked a few things, I would expect it to be perfect for $ 339+ a night.

Wow! Love this property. It might not look like much from the outside or inside at check in, but they provide great hospitality! A visit to the Mayo Clinic is not fun, but Marriott made a 8 day trip much easier. The valet staff are amazing and make you feel so welcome your entire stay. The restaurant and housekeeping staff are also very nice and helpful and accommodating. The hotel is connected to the Mayo via underground walk way. In the winter you never have to bring a coat, which is nice you never have to go outside. Love it and I will diffidently for sure stay at this Marriott again.

1. Staff very good overall.
2. Bell staff exceptionally good. Great guys.
3. Concierge — hours short (they close at 8) and staff below Marriott standards.
4. Link to Mayo it is a good location.
5. Top rate is $ 299/​night. Not worth it and it is bothersome that patients of Mayo are charged this amount. They have enough to worry about.
6. Gym facilities poor.
7. Had 1 dinner here — very good and a good server.
8. Housekeeping adequate.

Have been here twice both times due to visits to Mayo. Very convenient for those with mobility issues as you can take the underground tunnel straight to the hotel. The lobby has been renovated and looks awesome. The rooms are great and I haven’t had issues. Could be a bit cleaner and left us only a half roll of toilet paper in the bath. When we called housekeeping and asked for more bc there were three people in the room they sent up one roll? Hmm maybe they were running low on TP.

Salute, the wine bar/​restaurant at the Marriott, serves quite decent Italian cuisine, and the wait-​staff is excellent.

Went here for a conference. Food was not good but service was even worse! I guess there aren’t many options here so they can get away with it. Facility was clean (at least before the waitress spilled tomato sauce all over us and didn’t apologize) and u do think they were understaffed but that’s the biggest concession I can give.

Ridiculously friendly staff and of course, a very nice place to stay. Incredible pool/​workout/​lounging facility which is covered and climate controlled but allows plenty of sunshine in. Meals are provided for reasonable fees, breakfast will be brought up as well upon request. Internet access is perfect. Within walking distance of all of downtown Rochester, which is small but has everything one needs.

The location is perfect if you need to be downtown. Right next to the mayo clinic. Lots of good places to eat and good people. I am a Marriott fan. Stay with them a lot. Great brand. Almost always know it will be a good stay. If you want to grab a bite at the hotel. They do a nice job for folks with allergies. So glad we picked this hotel. You should to if your in Rochester

No free wifi except in the lobby. Over priced everything for a hotel in the middle of nowhere. Our room was not vacuumed, which makes me wonder what other short-​cuts were taken. The bathroom tiling has black mold and looks to be 10 – 15 years old, topped off with someone else’s pubic hairs that amazingly made it to the upper level of the tile. Add to all this unbelievably loud «renovations» occurring in the room below us. My wife had an interview that day and we were awoken by grinding drills that sounded like they were about to poke through the carpet. The hotel is empty, yet they book us next to their construction project. A call to the front desk and I’m told, of course, it’s renovations and it’s already 8:30 am, (the front desk girl was insinuating that I’m lazy for sleeping in so late even though it’s 6:30am PST for me and I work late nights).
I hope the snide front desk girl (Sean) finds a new job, there’s no way she will last in this business, or perhaps she is standard issue for places like the Rochester Marriott. I have not experienced the surrounding hotels, but all of them look like the Four Seasons compared to this rat hole.
A week later, they accidentally charged my wife’s card for the room instead of the Mayo Clinic who was paying for all the travel costs. Good job Marriott, I’m glad this is going on record and hopefully some of their employees will be exchanged out for those with some sense of hospitality management.

Lobby is small, but place is new and the rooms are very nicely done. Bed was very comfortable. The location is great — it is connected to Mayo clinics and the Kahler via the «subway.»
Was a fan of the stay, but one star off for all the extra charges: internet ($ 10/​day), phone calls, etc.
At $ 249 a night, it’s a little annoying to have all these extra fees. It’d be better to just charge everyone $ 10 more in the base price and include internet.
That, or make it very clear on the website or during reservations that internet is NOT included.
