It is as if eBay was taken off of the computer and placed into a store and branded a different name to persuade unsuspecting gamers to visit the store instead of shopping online. If you are a fan of buying games at full prices for your collection but hate the hassle with having to use eBay or even Amazon, this may be a good alternative for you. However, you will be sacrificing a few things. When it comes to Game Craze, all of their games are of trade-ins so even if you find one of the rarest games out there but it is in horrible condition, you will still have to pay full retail price for said item unless they somehow mess up the pricing which you can locate if you have a good eye. Always be careful and check all discs you buy because they can vary in condition. If the game doesn’t work you can take it back and they will rebuff the disc for free but you can’t get a refund so buy used with caution. This location has a nice retro game collection but near all of it is locked behind glass cabinets and behind the shelves so you can’t really do a lot of browsing unless you ask. They have the most recent console generations out on the floor so you can look at with the oldest being PlayStation 2 and Xbox. They don’t have discs in the cases of course but at least the case you see is the case you’ll get. They also have DVD’s for sale at $ 2 a piece but this location is overfilled to the point where about four to five bookshelves are filled to the top with DVD’s that nobody really wants anymore because everyone already owns them. On the other hand, if you’re into this, you’ll be more then satisfied. Besides the newer generations they have all of the retro items that you can think of like NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, PlayStation and so on. They are a bit lacking in the GameCube area to my discontent but with new inventory coming in, it’s never a bad idea to keep checking in once in a while. The inventory aside, the store itself is pretty devoid of any life outside of the lone employee who looks downright unhappy to even be working there. The floor is worn and drab and most of the building itself is dark, damp and uncomfortable which doesn’t make it a great place to shop unless you are already in a bad mood. I would more recommend the locations actually located in the various malls around Rochester because even though they are smaller, the employees are much nicer and the environment is more welcoming. If you value a high piece of gaming quality on the other hand, stick to those online sites for the best results.
