Bill Gormont’s World of Magic

Tucked away in a residential neighborhood, Bill Gormont’s «World of Magic» is a one man operation operated out of the owner’s house. To unsuspecting muggle eyes, there is nothing to indicate the presence of a magic shop at this address. However, when YOU visit you will notice a small sidewalk along the right side of the house, leading to a mysterious door. Inside waits the very friendly owner of this establishment, a working professional who is eager to share his passion of magic with those interested in learning.
The shop itself is about the size of a normal bedroom, but it is stuffed with enough magical goodies to interest both the novice and advanced magicians alike. Though the store does advertise regular hours, I would recommend calling in advance before your visit so the owner will know to expect a visitor. As an out of town traveler, I found the owner very willing to demo some of his favorite routines and share knowledge and advice which can only be gained though years of experience.
The only thing keeping this review from being five stars is the small number of books for sale and the tiny size of the shop. The visit is well worth the experience.
