Mugs Bakery was established in Roanoke, TX in April of 1996. We specialize in European style pastries. We also offer an array of amazing desserts and cakes. Mugs bakery got it’s name from Kim Chabot, the owner, who has been collecting coffee mugs from the late 70’s. You will find the walls lined with coffee mugs from all over and each one is special and has a story. This unique spot also doubles as a lunch and coffee shop. They serve a variety of hot/​cold drinks as well as sandwiches. Come visit Mugs Café and Bakery in the unique dining capital of Texas!

Business Owner

Kim found her love for baking in her home economics class in high school. She attended baking school to fine tune her skills. Kim has been in the bakery/​catering industry since j1978! In 1996 she moved from Washington to Roanoke, TX. It was on April 1^st, 1996 that Kim had her first day open as Mugs Café and Bakery. She decided to open her own business and call it «Mugs» due to her extensive coffee mug collection. She hung all the mugs on the walls of the shop totaling over 500! In October of 2014 she changed location to 103 N Oak Street, the heart of the Unique Dining Capitol of Texas!
