So Cal Muffler

Came in today to have my sensors checked and my Catalytic Converter replaced, I was in and out in 40 mins the work was fast, professional and affordable. After my Catalytic Converter was changed out my car was running like a champ again (1998 Saturn SW1). Great people in the office and in the shop go here.

They made me feel like I was right at home. Even though I was waiting I enjoy it very much ! Very professional and their work and I love how they made my exhaust sound on my MK6 Jetta! Best prize best work doesn’t get better than that!

FAST, HONEST, CLEAN & FRIENDLY! I’ve been to a lot of muffler shops over the years, and So Cal Muffler rates right at the top. I called for new catalytic converter, was quoted price over the phone, it was confirmed when I arrived, and the install was finished while I waited. While in the waiting room, another customer told me that its the best welding work he had ever seen at an auto shop. I had to agree, after seeing the finished product.
Great shop, lowest price out of all the local shops (by $ 10, but still lowest!), dropped it off, walked to the corner for lunch, came back and it was done. So Cal Muffler is my new exhaust place!

So Cal Muffler is a true muffler shop. After hours of scouring through Google, Yellow Pages, etc. After a good hours worth of driving from shop to shop I gave them a call. They said come through. So I did. Not before trying some of the closer outfits to me though.
It’s tough now a days to find a shop that is strictly dedicated to exhaust work. Yeah, there are some holes in the wall that will do, but the quality of the work is where you compromise with those hole in wall shops. So Cal Mufflers is far from that.
After being aggravated a couple times by supposed muffler shops saying that their muffler guy wasn’t there, or some time later this week (I mean seriously? Your a muffler shop but your muffler guy isn’t there?), I finally said just drive the 20 minutes and see what’s good. It was exactly that, good. Not just good, awesome.
I was greeted nicely upon walking in the door. Waited maybe 2 minutes before I was told to drive my car around. Got the car on the lift, gave me an awesome price and the work was started on right away.
I was able to stick around as they worked on the exhaust and was asked how I wanted the exhaust setup. Really awesome guys there.
All in all, I am glad I have found a legitimate muffler shop that is no BS, and puts out quality work. I will be taking all of my cars to So Cal now as I know the job will be done right.

They replaced my truck’s cat today for just over $ 200 in less than an hour. Fast professional service, and i passed smog too without issue!

Came in to this place to get a magnaflow muffler put on my 01 Jetta GLS. I came in on a Thursday morning and was right in and right out. He raised my car up on the lift and showed me underneath the car and checked out my catalytic converter and asked me what I wanted and he recommended to remove the resonator and get a magnaflow muffler and dual exhaust tips, it all came out to 255. My Jetta sounds great and I recommend this shop to anyone.

I couldn’t be happier with this place! Over the past few years I’ve brought at least a dozen different cars/​trucks here for various work (mostly catalytic converter replacements, a few exhaust system installs) and have always had a great experience. The pricing is good, turnaround time is very fast and the welds are nice and clean.
I have referred many friends and family to this shop and will continue to do so!

We took our 2003 VW Jetta in with a rattle. Our car was check and diagnosed for free. Because the part (catalytic converter) is only sold at the dealership they were unable to repair our car. However, we really appreciated their time, honesty and free diagnosis. We will be back for sure!

I just replaced the catalytic converter for my 02′ Toyota Corolla, and I’m satisfied with it. It didn’t take too long to get the job done since I was the only customer at that time. I was sitting on the bench in the office doing my math homework, when I was not even half-​way finishing it, the owner came in and told me I’m all set. The weather were hot so they turned the a/​c on for me. They were so hospitable and so nice. Before this I went to a local Toyota car dealer and tried to get the job done at there, and those crazy bastards charged me $ 1,600 for replacing the catalytic converter for my car, I was like r u sxxting me? I would sell my car for $ 2,500 and u r saying it needs $ 1,600 to replace the catalytic converter? So I research some info on google, and thank god that I found this place on Unilocal.It only cost me $ 246+taxes for the replacement. In nowadays, everything is tough, the purpose for opening business is to earn profits, $ 246 for a stock catalytic converter seemed like a very reasonable price for me, I’m very happy with the replacement, and they earned profits, I guess it was all good. And for that I recommend this place to everyone who’s trying to get their catalytic converter replaced :)

I went here on a Tuesday around 3:00 for a catalytic converter replacement. Manuel explained everything and even showed me things under my car i didnt know were there and that needed attention. He was very professional and did a great job. It only took about two hours. I am very happy with the service and the repair.

I visited this shop as I had spoken to «Manny» over the phone a few weeks ago in regards to a Catalytic converter that I needed replaced on my vehicle. My first impression of Manny was great, a really helpful person who even offered his advise at no cost to me. Well after waiting to gather some funds I decided to bring my car in today to have the said converter replaced. When I first spoke to him he advised my car had 2 converters and that the one that would most likely need to be replaced was the first one closest to my manifold. This converter requires alto of work to be removed so the price is obviously higher to replace the first one.
Anyhow, when I arrived he was very friendly and smiling, once they lifted my car they realized I only had one converter and it was located under the vehicle in an easy to remove/​replace location… when I asked how much this converter was going to now cost to replace he said the same price as he quoted for the first which was difficult to replace. He then asked what other shops quoted me and when I told him the price he said sorry I cannot do it for that amount and his attitude suddenly changed and he became quite rude, I then began to ask questions as to why the others were less expensive and he ignored me several times, then he just began to remove my car from the rack ignoring all of my questions… WOW: O
So after feeling thrown out I got in my car and left. I took my business elsewhere, got a great price with a 5 year labor and parts warranty compared to «Manny’s» 1 year warranty plus I paid $ 50 less which was nice because I took my car to get a smog check and sat down to a nice lunch. In a nutshell with the amount that «Manny» was going to charge me I got a new quality converter with a much better warranty plus a smog check plus lunch and still had $ 10 left over… Nice!
I don’t know if Manny was having a bad day or he is bipolar but really, I would have paid the price he asked if he would handled the situation in a professional manner. I was just asking questions which I feel I am entitled to do as I am a paying customer. Next time try being a little more professional, don’t ignore the customer, educate the customer on why your charging a higher amount and execute the sale. At the end a customer will pay what your asking for if they feel educated by a professional who is not throwing them out.
The sad part is that I am a business owner who deals with alot of people and this shop will NOT be recommended by me to NO ONE.
But hey at the end of the day I am a very happy camper!

I drive 1996 Honda Accord, suddenly my engine light turn on. so I called many places around for the inspection. Most place wanted to charge me 65~90 dollar for just inspection (they said they will waived money I paid, if i decided to fix it there. but still). Until I called Socal Muffler! He offered me free inspection and I did not have to fix it there. So I took car over there to check it out. When I got there he did free inspection as he promised and show me what’s wrong with my car. He even told me to check on the google with program code he got from my car for confirmation. So I decided to fix my car there. He showed me price of part and labor fee which is pretty reasonable. (I did went to other place with same code that he provided me later that they and they charged me more so.) Parts were delivered to the shop quick and service was also quick. After he finishing with the repair, he suggested me what to replace in future.
I will definitely to recommend this place to my friends and family. If my car broke down or something wrong with it again, I dont mind driving back to Riverside from LA to get check at this place!

I went here because I was looking for an exhaust for my car. I spoke to the owner and he was very pushy when it came to some Kamikaze Exhaust. I told him that I wanted a deep loud exhaust and of course he told me the Kamikaze’s would do the job. Little did I know that the only reason he was trying to sell these was because he designed them himself and wants to get rid of them. He put them on my vehicle and I took off. The next day I called him and told him that I was not satisfied with the sound and wanted something else because the exhaust he recommended did not do the job. He told me to bring them down and we will take a look. I took it down and was going to get a muffler delete and and take off the crap that he sold me.
I took it down and talked to his employee that was there in place of the owner because the owner was at the beach for the day. I told his employee that I was there to swap the exhaust out and wanted to get something else. He told me that I had to pay 160 extra on top of what i had already payed for the exhaust. I told him I just wanted to exchange the exhaust and get the other job done. The employee told me he was told over the phone by the owner that he was to charge me again for the other job. i told him why should I pay when I wasn’t satisfied with the crap they recommended. I ended up leaving and waiting for the next day to call him personally.
I called him the next day and he told me the same thing. He basically cant return anything back because he has no money to do it. He just started a year and a half ago but his reviews say he has 20 years of experience. Come to find out, he also wrote all his reviews himself. If you check the dates you can see he wrote one every month. He also had his family write some that are completely not true.
This place is a scam and they are running a shady business because the owner is money hungry and just wants to sell product that is crap. I could not get my money back from this thief but if i can save someone else from going there and being a victim I would be happy with that. Any other muffler shop is better then this one trust me.

I had a small hairline crack on a civic exhaust manifold. I got it repaired in less than 5 minutes for $ 15 bucks! Awesome.

I went in there on a Saturday afternoon not too long before closing to get a new catalytic converter installed on my Toyota. Knowing I was on a budget the owner himself spent far too much time crafting a custom exhaust for my Toyota pickup. He wanted $ 10 for a pipe between the cat and the muffler and spent almost an hour making a piece of art.
I literally could not be happier with the service I got. I’m taking my 4runner back when I get paid to fix the poor job the previous owner had done to it.

So I called around a few muffler shops in the area asking if they could weld the cracks on my manfold. I ended up going into two muffler shops. One shop quoted me over $ 100. This place quoted me less than $ 100. Not only was SoCal Muffler cheaper, but they also had exceptional customer service. Chuck was the only one in today, and he explained me how he could weld the manfold, the parts that it’s connected to, how it all works, and the breakdown in price (labor of taking on and off the manfold and welding). I really appreciated that because I feel like car places try to take advantage of girls. But he tried to teach me and was really nice. I would definitely come back here again!
