09-​03-​2015, This place is NOT closed. I was referred here from Magnolia Alignment. He spoke highly of McNair’s. I went and dropped off my Tahoe. A/​C problem. Diagnosed and repaired in 4 hours. A/​C Heater control head (inside the vehicle). These guys are GREAT. Not to mention the Tahoe ran out of fuel, while being checked out. oops. I will recommend all the time now. Thanks

McNairs Auto Service closed down in July of 2014, but stay tuned… A new Auto Repair shop will be opening up at this same location Mid January 2015. Please keep your eyes out for the Opening day.

I first went into McNairs at the advice of a friend I work with when I had a different mechanic mess up my brakes on a routine break pad replacement. McNairs fixed it easily and cheaply and with nary an unkind word about the other place. Essentially the pads were not placed right, but after fixing it the brakes were great.
I have used them subsequently for oil changes and the like and have always been pleasantly surprised at both the owners friendliness and their prices. I’ll be the first to admit that when it comes to cars (and probably lots of other things) I’m a danger to myself and anyone around me. So its nice to have a good mechanic nearby.

McNairs is a place of business you need to avoid. Took my vehicle in for a tune up which involved spark plugs. $ 500+ later, truck ran no better, actually worse. A few months had passed and developed a ticking sound coming from the engine. The short story is after many visits to many shops including Fritz Ford who wanted to charge thousands for a cam phasers, I took it to a recommended mechanic in Orange, after much trouble shooting he pulled the spark plugs and found that McNairs installed the cheapest plugs which were also incorrect for the vehicle. Correct plugs installed, ticking gone and the truck runs like new. Stay away from McNairs.
