History

Established in 2014.

Encouragers was founded by Vicki Coffman, LMFT, President, and CEO. Vicki recognized that the field of Mental Health has not been universally helpful to pre-​licensed clinicians who have a passion to help others, and because of the limited supervisors available, nearly ½ of all Master’s graduates in the psychology fields never go on to get their license.

Vicki brings together pre-​licensed clinicians (Students and Interns) and offers them Free supervision and training while they are providing low cost/​no cost (based on need) counseling services to the communities we serve. It’s a WIN-​WIN for everyone!

Business Owner

Vicki Coffman, LMFT worked in Law Enforcement for 25 years, before an injury forced her to retire in 2005. Since then, Vicki has acquired her license in Marriage and Family Therapy and founded Encouragers Counseling & Training Centers, Inc., a 501©(3) Non-​Profit Organization.

Vicki has a passion to bring affordable counseling as well as FREE educational opportunities to people who need it the most: Military families, First Responders, Single moms, pre-​marriage/​couples, individuals needing healthy options, low income, elderly, victims of crime, juvenile offenders, parents who need parenting help, and many, many, more. As a society in transition, there is always a need for counsel and advise.
