Family Dollar Stores

One of two «mainstream» dollar stores in River Oaks with Dollar General being the other one at the other end of the blvd. No complaints really here, store is not the cleanest but who cares at the dollar store. Good place to stop and get toilet paper and soda.

Ummm, I am quite suprised that I am solo in alot of these River Oaks reviews… I feel like I’ve adjusted well to this little hamlet of a community in NW Fort Worth. It’s hard to believe that this town is just an area of Fort Worth since it has it’s own charismatic homely feel to it. Reminds me of my Hometown of Alice Texas. Anyway, to the review at hand. I usually like these stores but this one in particular is fantastic because it’s walking distance from my apartment. Now, I really don’t want to make this my new mantra and make all the nearby stores seem like they all rock, but maybe it’s coincidence or just pure luck because they JUST seem to be awesome places! SO hence I will be fair and give this place a 4 star rating. There is nothing at this store to really complain about. The staff is freindly and really cool, the selection is fun (SNACKS GALORE), they have a nice selection of toy music instruments that have been a new fascination for me. I like the convenience of course but I also like that the prices are really low and I do visit this store quite often when I need detergent or pretty much anything else except fresh produce or that kind of thing.
