Yum yum yum! This isn’t the place you go for ambiance and atmosphere but rather fresh affordable homemade Mexican food. It is nice to have a place like this only 2 blocks away. I love getting the nachos and adding their smoked brisket on top — that topping is not mentioned on the menu for nachos but they can definitely add it for you. My other favorites are the quesadillas which on made on fresh corn tortillas and the chorizo tostadas. The owner has always been extremely nice and accommodating whether I was eating in or taking out. He always will do custom orders for me no problem.

I love the tostadas from this place, but unfortunately their milanesa torta was really bad. The meat was really weird, it did not even look like chicken. It had this fishy look, everything else was good, but the meat was really bad. It was so flat and skinny, not crunchy like a milanesa. I do not even think it was fresh, most restaurants do the breading of the milanesa really good, but this one was a mess. Very disappointed.

I ordered beef tacos from here and I must say they are the worse tacos I have ever ordered tasteless no flavor whatsoever and very fatty meat. Nothing is mexican about them. There were huge chunks of fat. The green sauce they give you has no flavor. In all honesty you get better tacos at taco bell. I will definitely only stick to the taco trucks on Wyckoff.

So disappointed with this place this evening! I always order delivery/pick up from the this place and we are always satisfied! But tonight they deliver us French fries that were completely burned! You couldn’t even eat one! How can deliver fries like this, who would eat them! What were they thinking?

The food here is excellent — and the people couldn’t be friendlier. It’s a small, low-key place that seems to be more of a takeout/delivery joint. Truthfully, we weren’t expecting the food to be as good as it was. But it’s sit-down restaurant quality. Highly recommend the enchiladas — and the breakfast dishes are great too.

First off the staff is truly very welcoming. I was happily greeted upon arriving. The restaurant is spotless and service was quick. I came thru with limited time remaining for my breakfast break so I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese with a peppermint tea. I know a regular breakfast sandwich but when everything else is exceptional it makes the food just as equally good. It was good :)

Been to this restaurant about 3 times in the last year. The place is clean and comfortable. However, the food could be better… I’m Latino and have been to many Mexican restaurants of this type. Unfortunately, the food here is not prepared in the authentic Mexican way. I found the food to be bland for my taste palette. Perhaps they cater to a non Latin Clientele(Eastern Europen, Asian, etc). The tacos are made with a flour tortilla instead of corn tortilla. The burgers are pre made and they use a type of herb in the burger patty that gives it an unusual taste. I ask if my burger could be made with out this herb and I was told no cause it comes pre made. Recently I order a chicken wrap and when my order was served I found the chicken to be the same used in a taco not the grilled chicken a wrap usually comes with… honestly I have found better authentic Mexican food from the food trucks by Myrtle and Wyckoff train station, you know the one! To sum it all a up if you never had authentic Mexican food then you are ok eating here.

Fast fresh delicious Mexican food! We love to order here because the quality is on point and the prices are great! You can tell they take care to make their food good every time. We had their tacos and quesadillas. This place is best for take-out. Not a fancy place to celebrate a special occasion but it’s a clean place with good service if you decide to eat inside the restaurant.

My favorite spot in Ridgewood. The owner and workers are so nice and the food is authentic and excellent. I go there way too much. Chilaquiles are amazing, enchiladas are on point, and everybody is so kind and accommodating. Great for a sit down breakfast or a quick takeout meal. Also they always have futbol on the TV and I appreciate that.

My son and I ate in. We were given super tasty chips accompanied by an awesome salsa while we waited. My veggie burrito was delicious! Very fresh tasting! Loaded with veggies, rice and cheese! My son loved the BBQ cheese burger and French fries! Super friendly, great little place!

I don’t find Mexican joints to have many vegetarian options so I just usually just go for the good olé veg burrito. Wow what a surprise when I grabbed the first half to find it so full of actual vegetables and not a half rice and some veg and beans wrap. To top it off it was one the best tasting burritos I ever had as well, nicely seasoned with just a hint of some heat. Well done.

I was very interested in trying this establishment out. One night while visiting the ‘rents I decided to give them a try. The menu isn’t huge, but they have a good selection. They are a tad bit pricey but once I tasted the food I realized it was well worth it. I ordered delivery and I have to say that this is the fastest delivery service that I ever experienced! It came in about 18 minutes. Big plus. Started off with the tortilla soup which was delicious. Tortillas, avocado and Mexican cheese. The guacamole was some of the freshest and most authentic I’ve ever had. Loved how they put the guacamole in a tortilla chip cup. The meat on the dry ribs just fell off the bone. The brisket was decent. My favorites though were the homemade skin on mashed potatoes and the grilled corn on the cob. The potatoes were so creamy and yum. The corn came with this amazingly delicious aioli that made my mouth extremely happy. This was a great surprise on Forest avenue. Look forward to eating from here again!

Been there a couple of times and had really yummy food every time! Have had various tacos, cemitas, guac, rice and beans, and enchiladas with mole. All recommended! The staff are so friendly and they provide wait service if you choose to stay and eat. Hope this place does well, it’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Ordered delivery from this joint on Wednesday, did so again on Thursday. Fast delivery, pleasant delivery person, and very tasty food. First order was the spicy shrimp sandwich and spicy pork taco for me; burrito for the SO. Chips and guacamole as well. The SO is a New Orleans native, and wholeheartedly agreed that the spicy shrimp sandwich was basically a po’ boy, with a few variations(was not on French bread, came with chipotle mayo). So, technically not a traditional po’ boy, but damn if it wasn’t just as flavorful and satisfying as any I’ve had. The tacos were good, but I still have yet to taste one Bette than the taco truck outside the Myrtle/Wyckoff stop, across from the Planet Fitness. The SO raved about the burrito, and from The bite I had, I can understand why. The guacamole was a little watery, but still worth ordering. All ingredients tasted fresh, and I look forward to ordering again, and sampling all the good looking stuff they have on the menu.

This place is like a glorified Italo-Mex or Chexican — i.e. the food isn’t that good, it’s just slightly clever marketing that makes it seem better than it is. The burrito I ordered tasted like all the fillings had been pureed, then wrapped in a tortilla. Warm guac + rice/bean/stringy lettuce purée.

Finally not so salty Mexican cuisine in Ridgewood! I’m disgusted by ton of salty food in Ridgewood! Food here wasn’t salty! Even their red/orange sauce wasn’t salty but it was spicy as it was supposed to be. Ribs were great too! I didn’t expect much from dry ribs but it was tastier than expected. BBQ ribs were good too. Maybe bit bland but it’s better than bitter BBQ flavored ribs. I’ll definitely eat or order from here again for sure.

I picked up dinner here one night after work. I ordered the bbq ribs and mashed potatoes. The ribs were just okay — nothing that would immediately bring me back for more. The mashed potatoes were pretty good with pieces of the skin in it. I also ordered a chicken taco and steak taco. Those were pretty good and would order again. It’s a family owned restaurant that provides great service and who wants to provide great food. They also offer breakfast which look good when ordered by someone else. Maybe over time it will become a go to local place.

Just got off the train and wanted to get a quick snack when we saw Mexican Apple. BBQ& Mexican?!? Sounds awesome enough to try! Hubby devoured the pulled pork sandwich! He said pork was cooked perfectly and the sauce was awesome. He said bread wasn’t sweet like most American breads and more like sourdough, which he loves. I had the chicken and asada taco and the price they charge seems to hardly cover the generous serving on guacamole! ! 4 stars for value and taste! 5 star service! They brought out a sample of the BBQ Pork and it was DEVINE!
