Specialties
Goffle Brook Farm is a unique garden center in Ridgewood that has been providing locals with the best flowers, grass seed, gardening supplies and produce for over 40 years. As a family-owned business, the experience at Goffle Brook Farm is much different than what you might expect from a larger chain store such as Lowe’s or Home Depot. We take pride in the fact that we have maintained the old-fashioned quality and service that was present decades ago.
We carry a variety of products such as compost, manure, bumper crop and several types of mulch. If you are looking for plants, we have a wide range of Annuals and Perennials that are absolutely gorgeous, from Geraniums, Begonias, Petunias and Marigolds to Poppies, Peonies, Carnations, ornamental grasses and much more. We also have seasonal produce available, much of which is locally-grown and organic. We encourage you to take advantage of our delivery service, since most items ordered can be delivered the same day.
History
Established in 1968.
Opened by Richard and Dancy Osborne over 40 years ago, Goffle Brook Farm has become a familiar fixture within the Ridgewood community. When the Osbornes first opened Goffle Brook, they had to do all of the work by hand and on their own. Although it was difficult and they were new to the business side of farming, they loved it and knew it was where they belonged. Since they both came from farming backgrounds, they were able to use their knowledge and experience to help them provide the best product available. Goffle Brook quickly became the best place to purchase quality grass seed and local produce. Now operated by their daughter Donna and her husband Kurt, the family tradition that started at Goffle Brook Farm is still present there today.
Meet the Business Owner
Donna D.
Business Owner
As the daughter of original owners Richard and Dancy, Donna grew up on the farm and could always be seen helping her parents with their work. Now she and her husband have taken over running Goffle Brook, and her own two sons can be found helping out as well. Donna has always had the same appreciation for Goffle Brook customers as her parents did. Many of these customers have been coming back since its original opening, and have passed the tradition down to their children. Donna loves seeing familiar faces throughout the year, and is excited to see new people discover Goffle Brook as well. Her goal is to maintain the old-fashioned customer service that has set Goffle Brook Farm apart for all of these years, and to carry on the family tradition by following in her parents’ footsteps.
