Horrible. Went in with my pregnant wife. Asked for no onions in our food. Guess what my wife had in her wrap. Big chunks of onion… and they had the nerve to ask me to leave a tip. Food wasn’t good, really bland. If you expect to me pay top dollar for your food, make sure it has flavor.

Probably should give them 3 stars, but I think they are decent to good. And I like them, so I bumped them up. Remember liking the enchilada souza and the garlic shrimp.

The best Mexican food this side of the Rio Grande or the Mississippi, with the possible exception of a couple of taquerias in San Francisco(Taqueria California comes to mind). The grilled chicken burrito was exquisite, the guacamole fresh and creamy, and the jalapeños plentiful. The nachos, too, were a perfect example of balance. The green salsa is firey and flavorful. The carnitas tacos, exquisitely seasoned. But it’s the shrimp tacos that are simple brilliant. Perfectly seasoned and garnished with onion, cilantro and lime, they are by far some of the best Mexican food in New York. We’ve tried a few other local taquerias, and many of them are serviceable, good or very good. But nothing compares to Coyote Bohemia. This is now our go-to order when getting Mexican take-out!

Well the word that seems to describe this place is bland. Was excited looking at the menu on a quiet Saturday night, seeing how many authentic dishes were on it. Had the Chicken Mole Poblano and again I strike out trying to find a good one. Is this such a hard dish to get right? At least it was dark meat on the bone pieces unlike Mezcals but sadly the sauce was very thin and very bland with just a little bit of heat but again very little of the bitter chocolate taste that denotes a good Mole. The Princess had the fish in garlic sauce and she was very unsatisfied with it saying it tasted more like fish in water sauce. I tried it and had to agree with her it was pretty tasteless. The sides of rice and refried beans were also very dull. Another issue was while the order arrived in the time it was stated the bag was leaking and it was very messy getting it all out. Also not sure if I had an old menu but the prices was 7.95 for each platter but somehow despite it saying free delivery it was $ 20.00. Menu has been filed in the garbage can.

I’ve only been here twice and I’ve only ever ordered tacos, but I would order a smörgåsbord of tacos! Like, like, one of each! They all pretty much taste the same, regardless of the type of meat or preparation. The meats are all grounded meats and they’re super bland, somewhat dry. Rating the food alone, I’d give them maybe only one star. I hate having to give them such a low rating because they have REALLY friendly staff and the service is good. I like the folks and I want to support them, but I just don’t love the food… and I tried them twice!

I’ve been here on several occasions, and the food has always been«A-OK.» The first time I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, the second time the vegetable tostadas and, most recently, the huevos a la mexicana. Simple and fresh, it is a good go-to for a decent and affordable meal.

Tried a vegetable quesadilla today. It was in a flour tortilla, with bland ingredients. I poured on the entire bowl of green sauce, and it still wasn’t very spicy. I’m not sure if the owners are from a different region of Mexico or what, but«meh.» I guess I don’t see any good reason to come here when the food is twice as good and costs half as much at the nearby taco truck, unless you desperately want to sit at a table indoors.
