History

Established in 1989.

Cox Brothers Electrical Service, Inc. was founded in September 1989 with a primary focus on commercial and industrial electrical service work. Wanting to expand our services to Richmond homeowners, we joined the Mister Sparky® network in 2008. By combining our experience with the expertise in customer service offered by Mister Sparky®, we have taken residential electrical services to a whole new level and are excited to share with our clients.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Tim started Cox Brother’s Electrical Service in 1989 with his brother, Bircher. While they mainly focused the business around commercial and industrial clients, they acquired a number loyal residential clients over the years. The two worked together as business partners until Bircher passed away in February 2000. Wanting to keep their legacy going, Tim kept Cox Brother’s open and in 2008, added the Mister Sparky network to expand the business into the residential market.

Tim is a wonderful father to his three daughters, and has recently become the proud grandfather of an adorable baby boy. He and his wife, MaryBeth, have been married for 33 years this August. Tim and MaryBeth are active in their home church, enjoy playing with their dog and «grandpups,» and love spending time with the family any chance they get.
