Jim and Kimberly started this business in 1985. Expanded to 2 locations in 1994. Lastly have come to their home shop at 16 922 Hull Street in Moseley, VA. Jim has been working on motors since he was a kid taking lawn mower motors apart! ha ha He then took Automotive in the Army for several years. Worked at a dealer as an Auto Technician and then moved on to opening his own business. Jim has continued to offer honest, dependable, state of the art repairs on cars and has grown to have the largest repeat automotive business in the area. Come on by-​we would love to see you and help you with all your automotive needs.

I tried a few other auto repair shops in this area before finding Automotive Concepts and had been disappointed in their work. So meeting Jim was a breath of fresh air. You get to talk with the person doing the work on your car. Jim’s estimates are accurate and he lets you know how urgent or not the repair is. It is nice to be informed not only what needs fixing now but also what is coming in the near future. Jim also has a great sense of humor and that is a bonus!
If you want a spotless, squeeky clean shop with a person to tell your car problems too, and that person writes it all down and hands it to the mechanic who will be doing the work, then this place is not for you.
If you need a shop that has «free» loaner cars, look elsewhere.
But if you want honest opinions and estimates, straight talk, and reliable repairs then go to Jim for your next routine maintenance or repair work. I believe you will be satisfied. Tell him Larry sent you.

Jim and his team are awesome! They have taken great care of both of my cars. They are quick to respond and take their time answering any questions I have. I always enjoy waiting on my car in their waiting area with coffee, hot chocolate, and even a video game for my young boys to play. I will always take my car here.
