Called for a quote for engine mounts. He asked me engine size I said hold one min gave it to him. He then was talking to a lady that works in the shop about shop business asks to put me on hold. 5 min later came back and said do you got it puzzled I ask got what?
The engine size. I gave it to you gave it again then said you can wait or call back. They get 2 starts and not one because at least he acted like he was working

Came here 2 weeks ago to have an inspection… although their hours said they were opened at 8am and that’s when I got there… I was later informed that no one would be there to do an inspection till 11! Quite disappointed. Gave it one more try this week… The receptionist at the front was friendly and efficient… even better they told me my inspection wouldn’t be due till Aug… with all the new rules, etc. I appreciated the honesty because they could have easily got my money early… I will return.

Great place for inspection. Literally took them 10 minutes. Good customer service. I will be back. Thanks Unilocal for helping me find this place.

OUTSTANDING service & friendly people. Hubby went in for a simple oil change and they repaired a dent he had at no additional charge. He keeps raving about the people & service so I thought I better right this review to spread the word. I’m looking foreword to taking my car there.

The people here use to be engaging and friendly now they are confrontational and greedy. Having someone come in every 5 minutes to try and up-​sell me is pathetic and unprofessional. I refused to pay $ 24.99 per blade for windshield wipers on Amazon, and Walmart for less than $ 10 and explained that I had purchased wiper blades less than a year ago. I was refused state inspection if I didn’t pay up. Location convenience of not worth extortion.

Mike the store manger which is new only been there 6 months has turn this place into heaven. Collin is the next superstar mechanic. This is the neighborhood shopshop

Went for a state inspection. I only came to this shop because my normal mechanic at a different shop was on vacation. Had an engine code when I went in, the mechanic cleared the code and asked me to come back after 70 miles and if the code does not come back on, the inspection could be done. I drove it 250 miles and the engine light never came on. Took it back and as soon as the mechanic hooked the computer to the car, the engine light was magically back.
I decided to go to back to my normal mechanic who cleared the code, had me drive 70 miles, and the engine light stayed off. The state inspection was completed, and the engine light still has not come back on.
My regular mechanic and I both felt this experience was a bit odd and I do not feel comfortable going back to this shop again.
There are many other auto shops in the area to choose from, so please choose wisely or reach deep into your wallet!

I, also, don’t get why this place has bad reviews. I think the competition might be responsible for that. Also, 2 years ago there were different manager and workers. My experience at this Kwik Kar was excellent for oil change, check tire pressure, etc. I watched them work from the waiting room and they were efficient, courteous and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely go back again.

I used to go here to get my oil changed because it was close to my house.
They are usually friendly.
One experience I had was when I went to get an oil change it took maybe an hour instead of 20mins. They said it was because it was at a busy time. I went around 12pm on a Saturday. I would’ve thought more people would be at lunch rather than getting their car tuned up.
Two other times I’ve had my oil changed here I ended up with an oil leak just because they didn’t tighten everything.
I’m giving two stars instead of one because of how friendly they were. Other than that I am not pleased with having oil leaks and will not be returning.

I dropped my car off for an inspection and oil change. I work down the street so told them I would be back later to pick it up. The only reason I didn’t give them four stars is that there were white specks of something all over my dashboard? Maybe from taking the inspection sticker off? Not sure, it was everywhere and I would of taken it to them and made them clean it up but I was in a hurry.

I have been using this place for oil changes and inspections since it opened. However, that will no longer be the case. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and asked for an oil change and inspection. I was told that they were «booked» and «we can do an oil change, but an inspection today is not going to happen». The employee went on to say that they were rolling out their last inspection of the day and «they have already shut the machine down».
Granted I was there 15 minutes before closing time, but you just ran off a) a frequent customer that referred you business and b) a quick and easy $ 140 repair bill.
There are no less than 4 auto repair shops within 1 mile of this place, and all of them offer simple oil changes and inspections.
If Kwik Kar Waterside has no interest in keeping my business, I have no interest in giving it to them.
I will not be back.

I would stay away. Experienced a while back how they treat customers & it was unexceptable & feel needs to be said.
While we & others were sitting in waiting room a customer came in to pick up her car & her bill was double what she was quoted. That is not the problem cause sometimes things are not communicated right but what was wrong was how she was treated. Even though she was upset she wrote a check because she needed to pickup her child at school the man behind the counter I think was the manager said & I quote… If you try and cancel this check we will come after you.
Couldn’t believe he said that out loud & needless to say was so rude & I don’t blame her for being upset. This has been over a year ago but felt it needed to be said. You just don’t treat customers like that.
So we stopped going there after that & went across the road to Christian Brothers & they are awesome.

I got a state inspection close to closing time. They said it would be no problem to get it done. Cool.
I did inquire about a alignment, but they said that my tire pressure was low and that they would fill it up again to see if that would fix the problem. I guess you could say awesome for them trying to save me some money… But I suspect it was closing time and they didn’t want to do it. We’ll see if it keeps pulling to the right.
That is the reason why I gave 3stars, not a good reason… But we’ll see.
Other than that, I was promptly greeting and they got to work on the inspection and I was in and out in no time!
I’m happy.

I tired this place to see if they could provide acceptable service, bottom line NO. These guys are very unprofessional and do not understand customer service, I was ignored when I drove up and the guy in the office way too busy playing on his personal notebook to ask assist me.
If there is going to be charge in excess of that posted the customer should be give the chance to opt out.
If the price is $ 33.99 (higher than the dealer by quite a bit) you should have to pay a $ 10.00 up charge for a filter that retails for less than $ 10.00.
If the sign says 10 minute oil change that should mean 10 minutes not 30, especially if you are the only one in the place.
Beware of any company that does not publish a customer service number.
I think they have the «Churn» business model, grab all the money you can and when you piss everyone off close down and move.

BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT use for repair, oil changes fine. I have used this location for oil changes and one state inspection since they opened a short while back. The experience for these services was pleasant overall but that is not why they get a one-​star rating.
My AC stopped working and the check engine light was on so I took it in for repair. I was quoted $ 700 to replace a couple of hoses, refill of freon, and replacement of a faulty O2 sensor. I (naively) agreed.
The AC stopped pumping cold air after 2 days and the check engine light came back on immediately after leaving the shop. I took the car back. This time I was charged $ 100 to tighten the same hoses, refill the freon, and reset the computer inspite of their claim of a 30 day warranty.
The AC stopped working again after 2 days and the check engine light came back on so I took it back a third time. I dont believe any work was performed except a freon refill (again!) and I was told there was a loose connector that needed to be tightened for the AC to keep working. The computer was reset again. I wasn’t charged this time however. The check engine light came back on as well.
This time I took it to a competent mechanic who was recommended by a friend and he (correctly) diagnosed the problem as a leak in the AC system and stated that the hose replacement was unnecessary work. The leak was repaired and the AC has been running fine for the past month. A different O2 sensor needed to be replaced and it is difficult to ascertain whether the sensor replaced by the shop was faulty or not. However, the shop should have been able to diagnose the problem.
In short, after 3 visits and $ 800 my original problem had not been addressed to my satisfaction inspite of 3 chances to correct the original. This location has lost my business and I would highly recommend other shops closer by like Christian Brothers automotive or Meineke.

Took my car in for state inspection. Quoted 15 – 20 minutes, I was there for an hour and 20 minutes. Most of this time, my car sat in the parking lot. Once my car was being serviced I noticed they were doing a lot of «not related to state inspection» checks. What got me concerned was 3 different techs trying to open my air filter compartment. Tech #3 got it open, checked it, put it back in. I called him over to inquire. I was told these checks were a courtesy to all clients. I asked that my car only receive the state inspection. He informed me that actually they are liability checks, to prevent harm or danger. I didn’t buy it, air filter isn’t going to save anyone’s life if its dirty, at best you’ll get bad gas mileage. I explained that the air filter compartment is difficult to reassemble if you don’t know what you are doing. I don’t think he appreciated that, but I was speaking honestly. I recently had replaced my air filter and it took me several tries to reassemble the compartment correctly and completely. Once things were done, I drove off 1 block, stepped out and did my own inspection. Air filter compartment had a nice large gap all along the back side of the compartment. He didn’t put it back together correctly despite my alerting him. I went back to the shop, pulled right up front and popped the hood. Mr. Liability and another tech came to see what’s going on. I less than politely explained the situation. I was asked to calm down. I retorted that I asked them to not mess with my car. The 2^nd tech took a minute to look and realized the problem and fixed it. The other guy just stood there… no apology, I guess it wasn’t necessary? The tech that fixed the problem and was not originally involved explained he prefers to not mess with these newer air filters. I hope he tells the rest of the staff that. He did apologize and shook my hand. Other guy, still nothing. I left…
And won’t return.
