The idea of having a meal like this is amazing. It only sucks that they have them during a certain time of year. I’m Italian and would like to think that I know authentic Italian food. Considering that Paige, the chef, studied culinary arts in southern Italy, I think I have this food right on the money. Rain or shine, they make this dinner happen and make sure everyone is having a great time. I have been twice now and have experienced both. There is a barn like structure that we ate under for when it rained and that was just as beautiful as much as dining in the field. Paige and her husband, Gregorio, who is also one of the chefs, really treated my ma and I like family. They are so sweet and obviously very knowledgeable about their cooking and just food in general. Gregorio is shy and doesn’t talk much but that’s okay since he’s still working on his English. I love his accent anyway and I hope it never goes away! Paige does most of the explaining of how everything is cooked fresh and a lot of the ingredients are grown right there in the field. They are such a cute couple too. :) The menu changes with what’s in season and what’s been growing, but all the food is divine with perfect wine pairings. For the appertivo, we had prosecco with parmigiano reggiano and honey to dip in, as well as prosciutto crudo wrapped around melone. OHMAHGOD. The parmigiano is aged 36 months and is THEBEST cheese your mouth will ever receive. I would have never thought honey with cheese but that combination is fantastic. I was able to have 2 servings of the parmigiana eggplant as Paige had extra and asked if we would like more. Uuuummm, yes please!!! The roasted chicken was so succulent and so tender and paired very nicely with the sautéed potatoes. Even though there were red and white wines that paired with certain courses, I had my white with everything and it still went together very nicely. Basically, if you’re curious to know more, then get tickets to go! I wish Paige and Gregorio nothing but success and love and happiness. They’re the best and deserve nothing but!
