Compasspoint Photography

Jamena Pirone is a talented photographer who has managed to capture some of the best images of my growing daughter despite my daughter’s best efforts to elude the camera.
I’ve worked with Jamena twice and am overdue in providing her with a Unilocal review. She took amazing photographs of my daughter and our little family about three weeks after my daughter’s birth in 2009. One year later, Jamena met me on the beach in Pacifica to document my daughter’s first full trip around the sun.
Jamena definitely went the extra mile to return to my home in Burlingame to for a short session to take family photos since my husband was unable to attend the appointment in Pacifica.
The photos are truly great and really capture the spirit of my daughter in various moods and situations. Jamena is patient, light-​hearted, a pleasure to work with — and best of all, genuinely likes her subjects. I look forward to working with Jamena for photos as my daughter grows.

Compasspoint Photography is GREAT! Jamena is such a pleasure to work with. She took photos of my 2 daughters last year for her portfolio and i was very pleased with her work. My daughters were very young, one was 9months and the other over 2yrs., and for being so young and somewhat under the weather, they were a bit fussy and not as happy as usual, but Jamena was sooo patient, understanding and not a bit bothered by it. She took ample time to take tons of pics (over 3 hours). I have worked with other photographers in the past, and often times i feel rushed by them. Jamena did not make me feel that way at all, which was great. I had time to think about different pictures and poses for the girls to do during the actual photo shoot. Jamena was patient and accomodating to my suggestions regarding props, dress change and location in and around my house. Jamena also sent me the disc with all the pictures within a week after the shoot. She was great with the kids and they quickly warmed up to her despite their moods. I heart compasspoint and highly recommend it to anyone who wants great, quality photos and a fabulous, friendly, patient photographer!

I had the pleasure of working with Jamiena last year. She was prompt, very detailed, and also has a passion not only for her work, but also with the people with whom she works with as well! She is a very talented photographer!
