At Benjamin Construction, the passion we display flows from our founder’s first love of framing, but our experience covers everything from laying the foundation on an original construction to the fine-​detail work that differentiates and beautifies your dwelling.

History

Established in 1998.

What began as a simple drive along Hwy 101 in the summer of 1998 quickly became the turning point for a young man’s career. Visible from the roadway, a newly erected wooden structural frame stood proudly in the center of a bustling worksite below. Considering the bones of building for the first time, Benjamin Construction’s founder Gilberto Velasquez felt an almost urgent spark of both curiosity and comprehension. Though he couldn’t have predicted it at the time, this brief episode would provide the impetus for what has became a rewarding and challenging life’s work.

Gilberto Velasquez has dedicated his professional energies to learning and mastering all facets of building and construction. From time spent as a union apprentice, to journeyman carpenter, to fully licensed contractor, Mr. Velasquez has amassed a vast supply of practical knowledge and technical skill. Over the years, his high level of proficiency, his integrity, and his amicable nature have enabled him to assemble an excellent team of skilled laborers and sub-​contractors with expertise in the full array of construction disciplines.
