You can certainly find a variety of hand crafted food items. I was able to find vegan caramel, bruschetta mix, artisan syrups, and fresh salsas. They have samples on almost everything. Including specialty oils and vinegar and fresh bread. There is always plenty of staff available and it is relatively clean. The fall is the best time to visit because of all the fresh local fruit and vegetables. It is nice to grab a gelato or some food to sit on the back deck. The view overlooks the hills of eastern Washington and is nuzzled up against vineyard. There is an area to order fresh sandwiches and some Mexican foods. Sandwiches have fresh ingredients and are reasonably priced. The tamales do not taste as fresh. Get items as a treat or gift then enjoy some gelato on the back deck.

The food options are great if you like candy or 40 different types of boiled eggs. The fresh produce is ok and the folks that work there are alright. When we’ve gone for food from the cafeteria it was ok. The ice cream is good and sometimes they host events. Like Santa Clause for little kids! Sounds awesome right? To coin a phrase«how bout no Scott!» Seriously, going into this store with young children and waiting around for any amount of time is just asking to get 30 of the 40 different types of boiled eggs smashed on the ground. The only thing worse than smelling that mess would be willingly eating some of these eggs and then looking yourself in the mirror. Now imagine you’re there waiting and juggling two toddlers for two hours that are amped up to see Santa. Now imagine you need to get them home and to bed without seeing Santa because it’s getting too late. Have you ever taken candy from a baby? Try taking Santa away. Thankfully I was able to spend a bunch of money on smoked mustard boiled eggs and told them they had to drink the juice in the bottle if they wanted to see Santa. It was just gross enough to get them out the door but some of the juice spilled on my foot and the smell has set in Bog of Eternal Stench style. After I amputate my left foot I’ll probably look back at this situation and laugh like something out of a Christmas Story! Thanks for the good times!

I was just in there for the first time in October of this year and I have to say there’s so many neat stuff. And seeing how they make the chocolate was pretty cool too. And I loved their Gelato coconut ice cream which was amazing. I’m hoping to go back again soon when I am in the area. Definitely.

I absolutely love both locations! The new Richland one is awesome. Huge new building, great location(still out of the way a bit but accessible to Richland and Kennewick easier than the one in Pasco). The candy is amazing, awesome selection. Tons of interesting canned goods, produce, ice cream, salsa, dips, tamales, etc. If you’re around, definitely stop by!

Sorry Tomas S. I reaaly disagree with your review. However I respect your right 100% to do so. We have been there many times and we found the deli to be reaaly great. Fresh breads and super employees that are interactive with the customers. We love it. Not sure if you have another agenda but thank goodness for the US where you can speak your oppinion. Take care M

Meh — its alright. The veggie sandwich was just a bunch of cheese and canned olives. The salsa wasn’t spicy enough. The homemade chips were really good.

Convenient location off the I-82 freeway in a brand-new building(2015). Provides similar fare as the original outlet north of Pasco. While the dips and salsas, and processed products are very yummy(5STARS), unfortunately, the high prices still remain steep(darn, down to 3STARS). The chocolates are surpassed only by Baum’s Chocolates in West Richland. BUT, the BEST selection of licorice, jelly babies, caramels, etc., in South Richland(up to 4STARS!).

Terribly disappointing. The whole experience has been tuned to the wealthy American who’s about to have a heart attack. Canned goods are limited to pickled and stuff for sandwiches. Candies take the center stage while ice cream and gelato do a booming business to the right. Produce is a ghost town with limited selection that is arguably smaller than the boutique. Stopping by the deli, the enchiladas lack lettuce and are served with low fat beans. If they were trying to market to yuppies, they hit the nail on the head.

I love the new location Great new building Same great friendly staff Really loved their selection of fresh salsa and dips. Can’t decide what to think about their veggie selection. Not a lot of depth there. Melons and berries. That’s all. I think this new location is very nice closer to my house so that’s a plus.

The country mercantile is amazing!!! All the employees are super nice and very helpful! Their ice cream is amazingly good, of course everything else is amazing too, but I’m partial to the ice cream! I live like 5 minutes from the mercantile and have been there a ton since it opened, probably more than I should have! ;) Anyway stop in the next time you drive by, you won’t regret it!!!

I went here on the first day it opened(6÷10÷15) and it was fantastic. All of the items at the original Pasco location plus a bakery. The staff was extra friendly and the new building is beautiful. Since this location is closer to me than the Pasco one(7 minute drive vs. 25 minute drive), I’m sure I’ll be visiting a ton in the future.
