I would like to set some people straight please stop the ugly messages I have experienced a good place the horses are taken care of very well and if you don’t cost your horses on a daily or weekly visit you have no business owning a horse. if I have a problem I talk to Katie face to face so all the faults accusations need to stop.

NEVER, NEVER board your horse here, this place is dangerous and Katie Root Matthews is in my opinion careless and negligent with questionable if any ethics. I am ashamed of myself for ever having trusted her. My horse almost died at this stable from sand colic, he was there for just over a year. Katie Root(Matthews) told me only after he almost died that she was located on riverbed. There are precautions you can take, tests you can use to check to see if your animals are ingesting sand, she did NOTHING. The surgeon vacumed 35 pounds of sand and volcanic matter out of his gut in a surgery that took 5 hours. He survived the surgery but will spend months recovering and may never fully recover, he was 3 years old a week before this happened, this could all have been avoided. I call that negligent especially for someone with a bachelors degree in equine science. I paid her for training for months that my horse never got, she has even suggested that it is my fault for not having checked on my horse, I trusted her and live hundreds of miles away, I just don’t understand how that makes it my fault, you decide. Either way be very careful if you leave your horse in her care, only do so if you know what sand colic is and are prepared to do everything you can to protect your animal, because she won’t. I told her over and over again if he needs anything just let me know I will gladly pay for anything he needs, and I did trims shots extra feed and grain anything she suggested I sent her a check for. I now realize he probably didn’t get half of what I paid for. When he arrived at the hospital in Pullman he was underweight and needed his hooves trimmed. It would be much safer to steer clear of this trainer and her stable. I only gave her one star because that is the lowest or worst rating you can give, you can’t write a review without at least one star, she doesn’t even rate that in my opinion.
