Super 8 Richburg/Chester

I stay at motels and hotels about 40 weeks out of the year. I have seen them all and this is one of the best run motels I have ever stayed at this price. Is it a Mariott or Hilton? No but it’s the best for $ 45 I’ve stayed at in a long time. Staff are courteous and rooms are clean. Rooms are cleaned everyday which is a rarity these days for people staying multiple nights. The owner seems to be responsible for how things are done and they are done well. Everything works such as drink machines and guest laundry. Out of the three hotels I’ve stayed at in Richburg Motel 6 is pretty good too but I recommend this Super 8 mainly because of how well it is managed.

this place was FILTHY and run down. seriously in bad and, honestly, unsafe shape for people concerned about such things. (see the uploaded photos)
i’ve stayed in several Super 8 motels in different parts of the US and this was the worst!
I LITERALLY FOUND FOOD CRUMBS IN OUR BED. yes, that is how bad this place is. makes me think the whole room had not been cleaned. outlets missing covers, fraying carpet with the tacks sticking out, peeling paint and cigarette burns everywhere.
do i feel like i stayed in a room occupied by a crack whore before us? yes, yes i did.
stayed in a Super 8 in Savannah the week before and it was lovely. guess i need to remember to spend the extra 20 – 50 to not get a horrible room like this again.
the guy at the front desk was nice, free wifi, The Front Porch southern restaurant across the street was awesome. they made up for the horrible motel.
