Went in for a 90,000 mile service, oil change and tire rotation. Ive heard they do the same service as a dealer for less money. It is cheaper, but you get what you pay for. The guy at the counter went through everything that was recommended for my car at 90,000 miles then ran my card and said it would take 3 – 4 hours to do everything I ask for. After I drove off I realized the signal that beeps to tell you to service the car hand been reset. Not a huge deal, but it is one of the things they say they will do. Then the washer fluid light came on. Again, no big deal, but they said they would do it. I got suspicious and check the tire pressure. The two back ties were low. At this point, I questioned the whole inspection. An hour later on the highway, the plastic guard that covers the bottom of the engine came loose and started dragging on the road. I pulled over and checked to find that it hadn’t been screwed back onto my car after the oil change. I took the car back in to have everything fixed and they were very casual about thing not being done right. They didn’t seem very concerned. I told them I was worried that all the other things they were suppose to check weren’t done and they showed me a check list. The problem was both the washer fluid and tire pressure were checked as ok. So how could I believe anything. I also realized without asking me they simply decided to just change the spark plugs and not do the entire service. The whole thing cost nearly $ 300 and I had to check and refill everything myself afterwards. I saved about $ 90 over having the dealer do it right. The only good point is that their customer service people were extremely worried and helpful. So maybe all Firestones aren’t bad. I don’t trust them though. seenu like another chain place that hired bad people and they charges regular prices. If you don’t care about your car this place may save you a bit. But if you want to have pros make sure it’s running right, look elsewhere.
