I can’t stress enough how overdue this review is and how ashamed I feel for not having done it earlier. Devon is AWESOME! Here are a couple reasons why (as the list is probably endless) (1) He will work with your budget and still deliver 100%. (2) He is truly professional with his business: never late, always happy, and most important no matter how small the job is he is ALWAYS enthusiastic about his work. (3) He will make sure you get a product that you are happy with. When my husband and I hired Devon for our wedding, we went crazy on Pintrest with endless possibilities. Devon was more than happy to try and get every single shot we liked. Best of all, he had actually studied our Pintrest board ahead of time and was prepared the day of our wedding. (4) He is so easy to work with. Taking professional pictures can be daunting and nerve wrecking, but about after 5 minutes after meeting Devon you will be laughing and feeling comfortable (5) Lastly, and perhaps the reason why I think this guy is so great, Devon loves what he does. I really mean LOVES what he does, perhaps more than anything else. I have never met anymore more passionate about his trade than he is. Devon is always excited to photograph and through his enthusiasm he makes you feel so special, important, and maybe even a little bit like a star. Having Devon around is always like having your own personal paparazzi as he is always trying to catch that perfect natural moment. We have hired Devon about 3 times now and this is all within about a year: D.

Great photos, great prices, great guy. Highly recommend. He made it easy for my family to be ourselves and took some amazing shots that we will cherish forever. He has a great eye for photography and is very reasonable and flexible. Great with kids and down to earth. You won’t regret working with him.

Devon is amazing in all ways possible! He is seriously talented and you will definitely have a great time. My parents have expressed to us of having a family photo session for like over a year, but my sister and I just never had the time to all meet up during the day. I guess it really does take a professional to get all four of us together, haha. Initially, there was a lot of doubt in choosing a photographer between us, and we were a TINY bit skeptical when we stumbled upon Devon VP and his perfect 5-​star reputation on Unilocal,google, and facebook. I mean, how does anyone manage to have a perfect 5-​star, right? Well, he definitely proved that he is more than 5 stars worth of time and service.
We got a 45-​minute session with him and he is incredible! He made us all very comfortable, helping us with posing, where to stand, and how to position ourselves so that our pictures turn out the best they could be. His knowledge in the location, where to stand depending time of day, the intensity of sunlight, etc., were all exquisite. Like, he wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty as he will get on the ground, do the splits, whatever it takes to get the perfect angle and lighting for our pictures. He’s also very personable! Super nice and funny to get everyone smiling genuinely! I have not seen my dad smile like the way he did in the pictures in a VERY long time. Devon knows that for many of us, being in front of the camera isn’t second nature, but he definitely broke the ice and had us all smiling and looking super duper cute! All in all, he’s VERY patient, super funny, all the while very professional. You can tell he loves photography and working with people. And let me just point out, your pictures WILL come out amazing. While they’re not cheap (I would say they are comparable to other professional photography prints), his prints are of super high quality and you will get more than what you paid for! The pictures he takes and his prints are not your ordinary print-​from-​a-​high-​quality-​printer prints. They will stand out and he takes care in packaging and sending you the best of the best! Highly recommend him and will definitely book him again for future photography purposes! :D

My boyfriend and I recently had a session with Devon at Fairmount Park. It was our first set of photos of a family with our 5 month old daughter. Initially I was nervous about the photo session but I soon realized that I had no reasons to be nervous. Devon was so easy to work with and made the session feel fun and comfortable. The poses felt natural and Devon also worked well with my daughter. The final product was also very impressive. I can’t even begin to describe how beautiful everything turned out. The metallic prints are absolutely breathtaking. I’m excited to use his services again.

Devon is seriously gifted!!! Not only in photography, but in making any situation as comfortable and as stress-​free as possible!!! My boyfriend recently booked Devon (as a surprise to me) for our first (ever) set of family photos!!! Not ONLY was he a gentleman about booking us a later date (a month later) but he made what (could have been a complete disaster of a day) into an unforgetable experience!!! When I say «family photo,» I am refering to myself, my boyfriend of 6 years, and our corgi puppy Maximus. Yes, only us 3 showed up… completely unprepared!!! Without anyone to hold Maximus while Devon took photos of my boyriend and I, but did that stop Devon from taking amazing photos?!? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! He even went as far as to hold max while taking photos of only us two… let me remind you (Max is a puppy… we were at a park) so you could only imagine!!! Devon was seriously a gentleman about it all. never once did he complain… or make us feel uncomfortable in any way!!! He was able to set the mood… and ACTUALLY got my boyfriend to smile!!! My boyfriend has a VERY MACHO look about him… he has a VERY intimidating look… but I swear in some of the photos that Devon took… you wouldn’t be able to tell!!! Thank you Devon… for being as professional as you are and for making our first ever experience one that we will never forget!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way our photos turned out!!! Great way to start off 2016!!! Cannot wait to send out our New Years greeting cards!!! Thank you once again!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Devon. Punctual, professional, patient, very easy to work with. We did a family photo session and our 2 year old (almost 3) wasn’t really cooperating. I was a little nervous when she wouldn’t smile or look at the camera. I didn’t need to be concerned. Devon said he would capture her and he did! He managed to capture her personality in the most beautiful way. We are beyond happy and plan to use him for future sessions.

Devon is one of the best photographers I have ever hired. He is one of the best not only because of his mastery and skill in photography, but also because of how original and authentic his style is. Devon brings something to the table that I haven’t experienced before. He’s very professional, honest, and will definitely do what it takes to capture the perfect picture. He nearly blinded himself in order to capture an amazing portrait of my family. He is dedicated in giving his clients a product that is worth the value and that is what sets him apart from others. Devon delivers exceptionally with the amount of quality that goes into every client, from the beginning to the end. I plan on using Devon for future photography sessions and I 100% recommend him for anyone who is looking for a photographer of quality.

We had a family session with Devon in August 2015 to capture our first official family photo as a blended family.
Devon is the best photographer we have ever worked with! He was on time, easy to contact, very professional, and demonstrates great care for his clients. He did a wonderful job of capturing everyone at their best angle. We love the images he was able to capture of our family and are looking forward to working with him again in the future! Even his prints are amazing, he uses some kind of metallic print and they’re exceptional. I’ve never seen anything like it! He shipped our cd images and prints to us and even his packaging was adorable and so thoughtful — very impressive.
One recommendation I would have is to iron out all the details and your expectations before your session just to avoid any misunderstandings. We would definitely recommend Devon for all of your photography needs!!!

We had a maternity shoot with Devonvp and I just want to say I’m glad we choose him as our photographer ! He was professional but also down to earth ! Such a fun Photoshoot and photos came out beautiful!!!

We booked Devon for our engagement photo session. He was very easy to work with and took amazing photos. We were very comfortable during the session, never feeling stiff or unnatural. We were able to check out our photos throughout the photo session so we knew exactly what kind of pictures we were getting. I really liked that ’cause I’ve never had that option before, so it was nice to not go in completely blind. He edited our photos very nicely, and provided very high quality prints. We would definitely book him again if another important event comes up!

Calling Devon a great photographer is an understatement. Aside from his chiseled features and Herculean physique, Devon did a perfect job photographing the lesser human beings that we are. He took impeccable care in posing us, however it was hard to concentrate because I kept getting lost in his mesmerizing blue eyes. His calm and collective attitude kept us at ease throughout the session, and we knew we were in good hands. Strong and masculine, yet delicate and dextrous hands, that is. His editing skills are that of an experienced artisan, as if his whole life had been leading up to our photoshoot. Overall, the event was life-​changing. We not only received top quality pictures, but also left with peace of mind knowing that a man like Devon VP exists in this world.

Our family of four recently had a session with Devon, and he was awesome. Not only was he professional, but he was very funny. He made us all feel completely relaxed and we all had a great time. We highly recommend Devon’s services.

Devon is such a wonderful guy he really cares about his clients and knows exactly what to do to make your session great! Devon photographed my boyfriend and I at Fairmount park and took a lot of amazing photographs! He was willing to work with us on payment and was very understanding of our special situation in the time that we needed our photos. I just took a chance on him when I was searching for a good photographer and I can honestly say he’s one of the best photographers I know, because he really wants to make the most of the time your paying for to capture the best shots he can of you or your family. I loved all the pictures he took off us so much I bought two different packages and honestly the quality is definitely worth the price!!! I would definitely recommend Devon to anyone! He even put our prints in the cutest package I’ve ever seen and I was so excited to open them and when I did I want disappointed!!!

We received a photo session with Devon as a baby shower gift, so we had no idea what to expect. When I called to make the appointment he was very informative. You could instantly tell that he was very excited about his work and invested in making his business a success. The photo location he uses at Fairmount Park is beautiful! Devon made me and my husband feel very comfortable while taking our pictures. I guess we have the tendency to put on a forced smile but Devon would tell a joke and make us laugh, so the smiles in all of our pictures are authentic. All of our pictures turned out really nice; it was so difficult to choose! We settled on 3 different poses. One pose is actually my husband by himself! Devon took a few photos of my husband because the man is so often forgotten when it comes to pregnancy. I really liked that Devon acknowledged my husband, it made him feel very special. We would definitely recommend Devon to others because we had such a great experience!

We loved our session! He was great with our three children. It’s great having your pictures taken by someone that loves what they are doing! This was our first time meeting him and absolutely no awkwardness! Great guy and we ended up with fabulous photos that we can’t wait to put up around the house! Highly suggest having Devon photograph you if you are near Riverside! We received a few prints and disk with our session. I was extremely impressed to open the disk up and see that it was personalized with a few of our photos burnt onto the front. Very professional.
