Reseda Automotive is an independent family owned and operated full service auto repair and maintenance shop in business since 1981. We value our customers and pride ourselves on the quality, honesty and integrity of our work. We service all vehicles, domestic and imported, under factory warranty and outside of warranty including full size recreational vehicles and full size work trucks. We offer state of the art equipment and are proud to have ASE Master Technicians on staff. Additionally, we specialize in air conditioning and electrical repair.

I had to have my car checked for brakes, lights and smog. Reseda automotive did a wonderful job and made an annoying task for me easy. Danny was very courteous, answering all of my questions and explaining everything.

Recently brought in my ’06 Range Rover after the dealer told me that the engine codes said the catalytic converters had gone bad. The replacement cost from the dealer was quoted in the thousands of dollars. The guys at Reseda performed their own diagnostics and found out that the catalytic converters were still operational, and the error codes were caused by a leak in the supercharger system. If I had listened to the dealer, I would have paid thousands to replace a working part and not fix the real problem. Reseda went the extra mile to find out what the real problem was and correct it. My car is now running great. Thanks guys.

I bought a crappy 2000 Hyundai Elantra back in 2011 and it quickly became a nightmare. Something was always wrong. I took it to a cheap mechanic because I fell for the siren song of low prices, but it seemed like every time I brought it in for something, he’d say he fixed it, I’d get it back, and the problem wouldn’t be fixed. I started to wonder if breaking into a barn and stealing a horse would be feasible, because at least the horse would get me to work, plus make me look like a knight.
Then I found Reseda Automotive. It was more expensive than the previous mechanic, but when they fix something, it’s FIXED. You don’t return with the same problem. Plus I can call either Joe or Danny and get a list of what repairs are the most urgent, so if something isn’t that big of a deal, I can postpone it if the money’s low. I still have the same car and now it’s actually a good used vehicle that runs well and only needs maintenance every once in a while. I highly recommend them.
Plus Joe has a cool German accent, the kind you’d want on a college professor who taught you psychology. That has nothing to do with anything, but it’s an added bonus.

Terrible!
It was my first time taking my car to get a smog check, I had no idea my engine light was on as the tech said. They checked the car and noticed the check engine light was on which apparently lets you know the car’s not going to pass, YET this place took my car and charged me knowing it wouldn’t pass. Sad part is I can barely afford it and just got ripped off by this place. If you ask me that’s very shady. NEVER GOING TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!

I took in my VW beetle convertible and Joe fixed the issue with my car at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this shop for anyone who needs repairs and or service. They also replaced my battery. Very nice staff and I loved the owner and his honestly :)

I wish Reseda Automotive was located closer to my home because they would be my repair shop of choice! I developed trouble with my brakes while working in Reseda. I live more than two hours away in LA traffic but needed an
emergency fix. It was 1 PM and this great team quickly assessed the problem, made the repairs and got me back on the road so I could get home to my family.
The repair price was more than reasonable, they didn’t try to push any unneccessary services and were super friendly during a stressful situation.
I can’t recommend Reseda Automotive hightly enough! TEN STARS!

This is the only place I trust to perform services on my car. Ever since having a bad experience at several Toyota dealerships, I was lucky enough to find this shop. What a refreshing experience! I needed an oil change. They told me to come right in. Very friendly and very sweet with my 2 and a half year old son. About 40 minutes into service the manager/​owner? Cam in to show me a very soiled engine filter. He was very honest and have me the option of replacing for a fee that was ver reasonable –I texted my husband and he approved!– anyway, toward the end if the service a mechanic came in and offered a car wash since we were first time customers. YES! The car was filthy and that was on my list– they did it for free:) yay!
I feel so fortunate I found reseda auto centre. As a new resident of reseda I will definitely be a consistent customer and recommend them to all if my friends.

I created a Unilocal account spefically to leave a review for Reseda Automotve. I wish I didn’t live in Orange County so I could bring my truck in to Joe when it needs maintenance.
Joe is the most professional, honest, and open mechanic I’ve ever dealt with. And if you’re a lady who knows anything about cars… this is the place to go… he doesn’t treat you like a retard, like most shops do. He is very fair and reasonable with price. They definitely don’t try to talk you into repairing something you don’t need to… he’s very honest and open about things. Joe has done a fair amount of work on my truck that I bought back in August that is now running like brand new. (Which is a far cry from when I got it… yes, Joe I learned my lesson… the hard way. :)) My boyfriend, who lives in Reseda, is using Joe to make much needed repairs on his explorer and Reseda Automotive is following through with the same impeccable service I received. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with any sort of problems (and/​or basic maintenance.) 2 thumbs up. :)

I Wish This was My Full-​Time Mechanic
I was passing through town and in bad need of an oil change before taking a long trip back home. You never know who you can trust these days. I really lucked out with this place. The owner, Joe Picker, took the best care of me and my car. I immediately felt like he and his staff truly really cared about providing excellent service and delivering it for a fair price. His oil change included a tire rotation and thorough check up for less than I paid for just an oil change recently. Not to mention, they also threw in a car wash which was much appreciated. Joe gave me a printout of things I could consider doing for my car down the road but provided no pressure to do them in the moment. Last but not least, they have a nice, comfortable waiting room with water, coffee, a plush couch and good magazines. I left this place feeling really impressed with the level of service and sincerity.

I took my car in last week for a smog check and they had me in and out within 30 minutes (without an appointment). After the smog check they showed me the printout and explained what all the numbers meant and informed me that their technician also checked my tire pressure and fluid levels and topped everything off for me (at no charge).
They have been in business 30 years and I can see why, the owner Joe is super nice and his staff seem very nice and competent. All the work they do is backed by a two year warranty and they have a «referral» program. For every new customer you send them they give you a $ 40 credit and they even give the same credit to the new customer! I have been looking for an automotive shop for years that I can feel comfortable taking my car (s) to and at last I have found it, they have won my loyalty after only one visit.
