Mark set-​up my husband’s computer perfectly with a new hard-​drive and operating system. When there was a small issue the next day, instead of charging for it, Mark spent about 45 minutes handling it remotely for free. I tipped him for his time — he’s really great.

Mark is the man. Reliable, transparent, on-​time and over the top helpful!

Oh, boy.
So my computer died and I went looking for the best IT people in town. Met and found out I needed a new fan and they would order it. No problem. They gave me a quote which I was happy with. Then they found out the motherboard died as well so that had to be ordered. In the meantime I had moved out of state so I told them I’d get my stuff in order. They offered to ship out my laptop for an extra $ 20 which I agreed.
I pay online and call them to confirm and get a tracking number. They confirm my payment and say they’ll call me back in 20 minutes with the # since they just opened up. Five hours later I get a voicemail message saying that since it was 60+ days they took out the motherboard and gave it to someone else!
Hold up! I dropped my laptop off on 12÷10÷15. Per the agreement they will hold it up until 60 days from completion date before they consider it abandoned. It was completed on 1÷13÷16, so going by that logic I would’ve had until 3÷13÷16. I paid on 2÷3÷16, well within the 60 days. Even if say, we went by the drop off date of 12/​10, I had until ²⁄₁₀. And I also kept them in the loop with my situation so it wasn’t like I was not going to get my laptop back.
Now I have to wait even longer so they can get an additional part, install it, and ship it to me. Not happy about this at all.

My boss has a lap-​top out of warranty and I was asked to find a way to replace the missing screws on the back. I called a couple places and they were charging between $ 40 – 60 for three screws the size of an ant! I called Mark and he was able to set me up with an appointment in a timely manner and fix the laptop at an extremely reasonable price! Thanks Mark, I will definitely be back when need be!

I had been working on an eBook in Word for a client and was just about to send it off for approval, when I decided to add a few more sentences, updated the TOC and then saved it. Well, it didn’t like that I did those last things so quickly and the file crashed and was GONE. I reopened Word and it was in the Recent Documents but when I tried opening it, was GONE. Went to the folder, it was GONE. WTH?! I started sweating a bit thinking how in the world would I ever redo this and I seriously don’t have the time to do so. It was due, and I have other things I need to do this week. I called Mark who worked on computers for me a couple years ago and he walked me through how to recover the file. Not only did I get it back from the temp files, I didn’t lose anything except a single hyperlink that I had to redo. I offered to pay him for his help but he refused. I can’t tell you what a great guy he is. You will not be sorry building a relationship with Mark for your pre-​break-​down-​shit-​your-​pants moments!

Great service. Took my hp lap top in for service. They cleaned it up, in a timely manner. Very qualified to fix your computer. Save yourself some money and call them first.

Mark is really professional. Whatever happen to ur laptop just bring it to him and he will do some magic. Also they do it fast which is important. 5 stars and highly recommended!

I have an unusual laptop. I went in with a cracked screen and they dug around quite a bit to make sure everything was right. There were two or three issues after it was done which they corrected quickly and free of charge. My laptop is working great.

Could not be happier with the wifi extention service that Mark set up in our home. Even the worst reception area of our place is blazing fast! He took the time to explain everything in detail and inform me about setup, usage, etc.

Had 818 repair my laptop that couldn’t charge due to prong connection breaking loose inside laptop case.
Excellent work and people.

They give you a date but it happens they call you after a week «oh yeah your laptop been ready we tried calling you» which is lie. and also he has a promotion on Unilocal which he himself tell his customer to not buy which is really confusing. He was accusing me of why buying the Unilocal promo before going there, idk what else was i suppose to do?! if he doesn’t appreciate the deal why he has it there. And when you talking to them for the price they agreed on and they want to go in and double check he asked me for my laptop which was super rude, its not anyone fault they work at home and they think everyone are like them. and they didn’t even do what they were suppose to do which was fixing my keyboards, it feels the exact same way as before i took it there, never going back again and don’t fall for the reviews he tell everyone to do it for discount.
And after an hour writing this review he called me and told me i have a «language problem» and try to convince me to change my comment, this is another reason why you shouldn’t rely on their reviews, not to mention its against the privacy to use the information they have from me to call me not regarding the business i did with them but accusing me of having language problem and try to buy me a deal so i delete my comment, really poor customer service even one star is too much.
Im writing this to response to «Mark» responce which was all lies to cover his company reviews:
1– my laptop wasnt ready until a week after and i never received any call or email
2– he didn’t tell me 125 in the begging he told me 100 and he acted like hes doing me a big favor by have to open and close everything by the time today by the phone he mentioned he didnt do any of those work so pretty much i paid 100 with nothing done and had to wait a week and have to deal with him harassing me over the phone by saying i have language problem and trying to make me look bad.
3– i didn’t purchase two promo i purchased 1 and i can prove it, go look at their pics i posted all of the deals i got from Unilocal
4– i wasn’t screaming i just refused to let him take my laptop back in a weird house they call office and God know what they would do
5– if you are sure about your business and your fake reviews why would break ppl privacy by calling them to try to sell a deal just so i delete my comments thats so unprofessional.
6– im stating here any more accusing call from this company ill take action by taking them to court.

Marc and Luis are the top notch pc experts of SFV. Being in web development for the past 12 years, I also am knowledgeable about the care and maintenance of my pc’s and like to do the work myself. Handing over my computer over to 818-​pcservice, and listening what Marc can do to help me out, I knew I was in good hands.

I’m VERY happy with my service and happy to announce that the hard drive issue I came to Mark and Louis about was 100% resolved.
I found this dynamic duo through their highly rated Unilocal page. Upon scheduling an appointment with them, Louis was very helpful and informative about the whole process. I was also confirmed of my appointments, service, and invoice through email. Communication was definitely a strong factor between Mark and Louis as they explained to me the entire process it would take to fix my hard drive and retrieve its data back. When I discussed with my tech-​savvy friends how much the invoice was going to be, they agreed that it was a fair and very understandable price, so I went with it!

I had an old Apple desktop (G5) I mean like 10 years old, that hasn’t been powered in 8 years due to a bad board (?) my 12 year old thought baby photos of her didn’t exist, and voila. They happened to have that super old part to turn my computer on and transfer photos. That very same 12 year old downloaded a virus onto my new iMac, from a Minecraft Mod (beware) and i attempted to follow instructions for removal on a forum and screwed everything up. Not to mention, my drive was split into four confusing messed up drives. It would get stuck before login and heat up and almost done for. They fixed it and organized my drives and replaced all the files all nice and neat. (Can you organize my house too?) They are friendly, fast and super reasonable! I will recommend them to everyone (them as in mark and Luis) thanks guys!!!

I couldn’t use my computer at all!!! Everytime I wanted to open a window 1000 other windows opened at the same time. It was really annoying. I brought my Computer here and they fixed it really quick at a very fair price.

I had some printer issues and they came to my place and fixed it with no problem; they even followed up with me a few days later to ensure everything was still in good order.
Prices are competitive too. Would definitely use them in the future and would recommend their services.

Let me give you some background on what happened: I took my pc to a pc shop in my area and came back with prices of $ 500+ to buy a new processor and motherboard
I said that sounds pretty fishy so I paid the shop 30 dollars and did my research and found out about 818 repair. At first I was hesitant since they don’t let you in their shop or anything but I went with my gut and left it there. Louis and mark fixed the problem in under 48 hours and they even bought new cables, thermal paste and screws for the back of my pc. If you have any types of computer problems I highly encourage you to visit mark and his crew!

Mark is the Man. I was told by the «Mac Genuis» that the motherboard on my Macbook Pro was dead and that the part alone was going to be $ 526.
I called and spoke with Mark for the first time. He asked me a few questions. When I told him that after chime sound the screen was black he interrupted me and said «wait a second, you hear the chime sound?» I said yes, and he said your motherboard is fine. The Chime only sounds post motherboard initiation.
He then advised me to reset the PRAM and the SMC. I followed his suggestion and I am EXTREMELY HAPPY to report that I am typing this Unilocal review from my trustee Macbook Pro! He also suggested to clean the heat vents with compressed air and to download a free software called SMCFanControl. He explained that it will monitor how hot your computer is and to never let it get hotter than 70C. I am also EXTREMELY HAPPY to report that before installing that software my machine was running at sometimes up to 85C!
I went into the preferences and increased my fan speed and now it is running at 43C!
As I said, Mark IS THE MAN! He is so generous and kind with his knowledge. I also spoke with Louis and he was super-​cool as well.
Truly it is people like Mark that make this world a better place.
He has earned my business forever.
