Black River Riparian Forest and Wetland

I wanted to like this park more than I did. The signs could use some «you are here» markers and I was a wee bit nervous that I’d be eaten alive by mosquitoes when I saw all the stagnant ponds. To be fair, I think this would be a better experience in the spring (I went in late summer). It is a great concept and a nice «nature area» in an otherwise industrial-​like zone. Certainly give it a try if you are in the neighborhood and I’ll hope that your experience is just a bit better than mine. (Mine wasn’t all bad, mind you, it just could have been better.) I’ll give this a second chance when I’m in the area again.
