For thousands of years this dance has captured the hearts and imagination of people of

all cultures. We all come from different backgrounds which make up this wonderful world.

The dance and music become universal, giving a way to express our selves.

The heart and rhythm of Belly Dance is passed from one person to the next, so our dancers

honor all of those who have come before us.

History

Established in 1994.

Yasmina began teaching in Reno back in 1994 and presenting teaching dance classes from group to private lessons. She is the choreographer and artistic dance director to Troupe de La Roche and Troupe Jasmine. Yasmina brings a life time of experience to her classes not only teaching the true essence of the dance, but passes on the knowledge that was given to her from her teacher.

From the beginning of her dance career, she has always looked for the beauty in the dance, always showing dignity and pride with love for everyone.

Belly dance gives us a sense of achievement, skill and control over our bodies; learning to move gracefully, gain positive self-​image. This is a beautiful form of art that honors life.

Meet the Business Owner

Yasmina L.

Business Owner

Yasmina originally from Los Angeles, Ca. where she worked as a professional Egyptian Dance Artist, starting back in the mid-​70. Performing in nightclubs, banquets, parties, theaters, weddings and concerts she has danced in cabaret and stage shows from Los Angeles to Florida, Northern California to Reno, Nevada.

In 1990 was honored with becoming certified in Egyptian Cabaret and Theatrical Dancing from Sultana Ebrahim Dance Academy.

Yasmina has continued her study with many wonderful dance artists/​instructors from Mesmera, Suzanna Del Vecchio, Morocco, Jacques Al Asmar, Oreet and Tito of Egypt and many others. She enjoys learning new and different styles and techniques always embellishing her own style of dance.
