Established in 2013.
Another brainchild of chef/owner, Larry Dunning. Dunning’s restaurants include the former Truffula in Tahoe City, Sezmu in Reno, and currently open sister restaurant of Rawr, Bowl Restaurant (also located within the West St Market).

Business Owner
Although formally trained at the New England Culinary School, Dunning attributes his real education to working in restaurants such as Jardinière in San Francisco, Mustards in Napa Valley, and Plump Jack in Tahoe. Dunning also traveled through Europe and had the humbling opportunity to work next to a few great chefs.
In collaboration with Dunning, chef Brett Kendall helps develop the menu and execute beautiful dishes at Rawr. Brett also worked in Tahoe for several years at places such as Wolfdale’s and …
