As a psychologist in private practice, I provide mental health counseling for individuals, couples, families, and children. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety (generalized anxiety, worry, panic, OCD, post-​traumatic stress) and depression. I see these as symptoms that you are out of balance with your true self, perhaps due to experiences such as childhood trauma, invalidation from others, and significant losses. I will help you gain insight into the causes of these symptoms to promote self growth and lasting change. When you feel more effective in expressing your true self, you can see improvement in self-​care, in school and work performance, in relationships and marriages, and as parents.

I have 20 years of experience in providing psychological services (including doctorate training and post-​doctorate residencies). I have been licensed to practice independently since 2002.

Business Owner

I have over 20 years’ experience, including graduate school training, in providing therapy services for all ages. I completed my undergraduate studies in Clinical Psychology in 1993 at San Jose State University while also conducting psychological research studies at Stanford University. I completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 1997 at University of Nevada Reno and was recognized with a national award from the American Psychological Association for my Master’s thesis. I completed my Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology in 2000 at University of Nevada Reno with an internship at VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System. Throughout my education I have provided therapy services in a variety of settings including: Suicide and Crisis Center; Outpatient community clinics; State of NV Children’s Behavioral Services & Adolescent Clinic Services; State of NV Sierra Regional Center providing neuropsychological assessments; and inpatient & outpatient hospital setting.
