It’s when things go wrong that you get a chance to shine …
About a year ago I was referred to Dr. Tripp by Dr. Steven Robinson as part of the replacement of some crowns and partial dentures with implants. Dr. Tripp and his very professional, competent, and friendly team did what they do, and do well, and everything was fine until the moment when I involuntarily swallowed an implant. This was nobody’s fault, and could have been a disaster; however, in no time a Plan B was worked out, to ensure I was not left without teeth. This involved Dr. Tripp attending to me several times outside regular hours, at short notice, at considerable inconvenience to himself. I was impressed by his dedication, efficiency, and interest in making sure that I was looked after: he definitely puts his patients first.
And the implants? I’ve forgotten all about them, they fit so well — it’s only when I look in the mirror that I think about the ease and convenience of not having to deal with dentures. I’m glad I did it, and very pleased with the way Dr. Tripp and his team took care of me.

This dentist is a rip off! Not only does he charge double for a new patient exam he missed a pre existing filling on a front tooth when documenting in my chart. He also advised I needed more crowns than the endodontist I saw. Which at his office are $ 300+ more than the going rate in Reno. The office staff was ok but not that great. The office lady became really pushy when I wanted to change an appt because I still had pain from my root canal and she wanted to call the endodontist to make sure it was ok to go ahead. It was my choice, and I felt she was pushing me into my appointment before I was ready and and having pain. Also the office and X-​rays need serious updating. The new dentist I found used a whole different set of X-​rays because the ones that dr tripps office were not clear enough. Bottom line… Do not go to this dentist! Incompetent rip off!

Dr. Tripp has great bedside manner, is personable and nice.
His office is also friendly, and the cleaning that I had there was awesome.
Problems started happening when I had a routine filling turn into a full crown…
Further problems when I received a bill that had numerous errors, and a very expensive charge for a crown that was 69% more than what typical insurance covers.
