I had a very pleasant experience visiting the Mazda dealership. I wasn’t there to purchase a vehicle. Rather, I had my Toyota Scion serviced. Mark was nice enough to squeeze me in on a busy Saturday morning, and just wanted to give him and all the employees there a shout out! Great job and thank you for your professionalism!

Right from the beginning this was a pleasant experience. If I decided on a Mazda, I would have definitely gone to talk to them. They were very down to earth and friendly, listened to my needs and had some really great cars. I was impressed! I went to a lot of dealerships this past week, and this experience stood out to me the most. In a good way!

I would like to start this review by saying I did not purchase my car here, in fact I bought it in 2010 from a carmax dealership in Las Vegas.
Ever since I moved to Reno and brought the broncomobile (my affectionate name for my car) with me I have been coming here for my car check ups, or when we notice a problem with the car. In the last few years it’s been having more and more problems (it’s getting old, how sad). Each time we come every employee I have encountered has been really great! They all know what they’re doing and are truly a pleasure to talk to. Sometimes my car has to stay here longer than I would like, but I have peace of mind knowing they aren’t throwing random stuff into my car, and they take pride in their quality work on cars.

Just had my Mazda serviced here. Great overall service and the gentleman helping me was super nice and professional. In and out in less time than estimated!

The hubs and I bought a new Mazda 6 late last year and the experience overall was great. The sales guy was super friendly and helpful. We had been pre-​approved through our credit union but when we sat down to sign all the paperwork, they found a better deal to finance through the manufacturer and explained all the benefits. Love the car! Overall great experience and I would recommend buying from any of the Dolan Auto Group dealerships.

Absolutely awful experience! Stay away from here and save yourself the misery. My experience started at 0700 this morning when I couldn’t start my 2014 Mazada 6 (push button start) and I was told to change the battery in my key fobs. I went to the Dolan Mazda dealership where I was redirected to KIA because no one could help me get a new battery there. That was my first red flag… but being my car is warrantied I hung in there. I returned home to my car and it still did not start. I had a the key within the key fobs and thought I could start it the old school way (insert key and turn lol) but could not locate where to insert the key, so I called the dealership again. We are at about 0830 now… I explained what had happened to the first service person who answered and she could not tell me if I did or did not have the ability to put the key in somewhere, and that she was unfamiliar with my car (little odd considering she works at MAZDA, in the SERVICE department!) so I was put on hold. 20 minutes went by and she found someone to help me so she transferred me… no answer got a voicemail and left a message for the service manager to call me back. Now I will admit I am inpatient so I called the main number again and had a repeat experience with the same girl and I asked to speak to someone else, I found it hard to believe no one in the entire dealership could help me answer this simple question but apparently that was the case because I got the same voicemail. So at this point I am getting extremely frustrated! So I called again and this time got another lady who apologized and said here service manager was there and then gone and she couldn’t find him so I got in my car and drove back over there, this is about 0930 at this point. So low and behold I walked in and there sits the manager, who seemed annoyed couldn’t even welcome me, anyways I explained my issue and he informed me I do not have the option to stick the key in anywhere. Ok understandable, then I asked for some troubleshooting advice or what could be causing this? And his response was less than enthusiastic and not helpful at all. His replay was «I can’t tell you anything unless you bring the car in». Now my experience at Mazads dealerships has always been the opposite and they are happy to offer advice over the phone. Not the case here. So now I order a tow truck driver (used AA in Reno and they are on point! Most helpful of my entire day!) They jumped my battery and sent me on the way. So I am now back here at Mazda. I walked in and the service manager again not happy to see me at treated me very condescendingly completely ignoring what I was saying and made it very clear that I was not covered by the manufactures warranty and that it would be $ 40 dollars to check my battery (I’m pretty sure any autocrats store does this free, but clearly I have no choice!) so I say okay and then ask him if my extended warranty would cover anything and he basically told be thats my problem to deal with because he only knows about the manufactures, rudely. Now it is 1530 and I am still waiting to see if I have a dead battery! I don’t understand why this is taking so long and have not been updated!!! Hope fully I get out of here before dark but I am not holding my breath! From my experience here I have found the manager to be rude and condescending and the staff incompetent! STAY AWAY if you can!!!

New General Manager, Tom Werbeckes, contacted me personally this week and promised to make things right. We talked and worked things out. My wife and I came in and got rid of the nightmare car and into a new car with a great deal. Tom took the time to work things out personal over the last few days to ensure the price and deal was what we wanted.
Can’t thank you enough, Tom. Great job in turning this dealership around! The whole atmosphere is so much better.

I bought my first car here and the experience was great. Like all dealerships I was greeted right when I pulled into the parking lot. Skeeter and David helped me right away with what I was looking for. When I went to make the purchase Matt was very helpful and explained everything in detail when signing the paperwork.
The only con with my experience was the lengthy time period I had to wait once we started to negotiate prices.
Overall I am very happy with my new car and would buy from them again.

I had a fantastic experience purchasing my 2016 Mazda 6. Our sales associate Dan was wonderful. He listened to our needs and he delivered. I never felt any high pressure, and we were able to obtain the car we wanted with a comfortable payment. Our Delivery Specialist Chris was also great. He was very friendly and patient as he explained all the features on the car. Matt in finance was very friendly and personable and made the process painless. I would highly recommend Dolan Mazda. Keep up the good work!

This was the first chance I have had to use Dolan for service. My 92 Miata’s slave cylinder failed us a few days ago and fortunately we were within close proximity to Dolan. We rolled in and were immediately greeted by the Service Manager who brought us into Doug one of the Advisors on staff that day. Doug and I talked about the issue and he mentioned that he has a Tech that specializes in RX and MX Mazdas. Dolan provided us a ride home and we waited for the call with the estimate. Doug qualified the estimate by saying that it will be on the high end and that he would rather be high and come down than to have to call back and give bad news. I gave him the go ahead to have the work done and asked about an oil change being done at the same time (if you have changed the oil in a Miata, you know it is a messy job). Doug called me back with a final price which included the oil change for significantly less than what even the original quote was. All in all a very good experience..

About 2 weeks ago, I had gone to Dolan Mazda Kia in Reno, NV. Dwayne & Matt were very helpful in getting me into a beautiful, blue 2013 Chevy Spark. They worked together to find me a financing option that I wanted and could handle. Thank you, Dwayne & Matt!

I recently bought a BRAND NEW car from these clowns and it has been nothing but a nightmare. First off, all the sales people and management are sleaze balls. They promised me the world before I got the car (for example there were scratches on my bumper from something that happened on their lot and they said I could come back and get them fixed which hasn’t happened in almost 3 months. Now they claim it will void the warranty. They also promised me window tinting, and never got that either.) They do not fulfill any of their empty promises. They will tell you whatever they can to get a sale, integrity means nothing to them. The check engine light came on after only 5,000 miles which is ridiculous for paying 30k for a car and I’m dreading bringing it in to them because I don’t wanna deal with the inconsistent help and customer service. I would not recommend ever buying a car from them or doing any business.

Whatever happened around here before, I want to say that I had a great experience with Jamie and Matt. They worked together with others behind the scenes to get me the financing package I wanted and a ton of extras I didn’t even expect.
Rather than haggle over price, I came in with a clear idea of the down payment and monthly payment I wanted to achieve. Jamie did the dog-​and-​pony show of going into the «back room» multiple times, but I’ve seen Fargo so I don’t know haha :)
Bottom line, I got the car I asked for with the terms I asked for, plus a bunch of extras like window tint, clear bra, 7 year warranty, and 4 years of free oil changes. All in all, it was a fantastic experience and I’m very pleased with my purchase.
Do I feel like I got a good deal? I think I got a fair deal based on TrueCar and others like that, but more importantly, I feel like I am outfitted with a complete solution that will last me the next 5 – 7 years without headaches.
Time will tell if everything is true, but for now I am very please with how they handled things.
PS — I did inquire about the negative reviews even recently. They said that a month or two ago they cleaned house and reorganized. They attributed that to the change in service and told me that, yes, if I had come a few months ago, I would have had a terrible experience. So how’s that for owning mistakes?

I love Mazdas, and I’ve owned three, but I bought a Subaru in Carson City rather than deal with these people again. The service department has twice billed me for work they didn’t do (there was a labor charge on the bill for replacing belts, but no belts on the parts list. When I asked – both times – it turned out they hadn’t done the work). And when I bought a used car there a couple of years ago, we negotiated down to a price the salesman quoted as «Eleven.» Eleven thousand, right? No. When they brought out the paperwork, it was $ 11,999, one dollar off our starting point. The sales manager said we must have misheard, but my wife and I were both there and heard the same thing I did.

I brought car to the Mazda dealership, it might have taken a few try’s to find the exact problem. The techs resolved the problem and I’m glad it’s gone, thanks Mazda!

My wife and I were in the market for a late-​model used Mazda CX-​5; 2014 or 2015. Dolan Mazda had one listed, which, according to the listing, included both the «technology package» and «navigation;» features that we were interested in. The asking price for the car would have been a reasonable price on the base model; but this one purported to have extra features for the same price. So, naturally, I was interested; but I was also skeptical.
Having read this place’s Unilocal reviews, I did the smart consumer thing: I called ahead to the dealership. I told them that I’d be driving up to Reno from Berkeley, CA, which is 173 miles away. I told them that I was interested in a specific car, and that I wanted to verify the equipment and price. At this point, you can see where the story is going. I was told to that the car was available, as advertised, and that we should come on down. We drove up, and test-​drove the car. It was the base model; despite the ad, and despite my call, the advertised features were not included. We’d driven to Reno to see a car that I *knew* could be had much closer to home, for a comparable or better price.
I was prepared for this possibility, having read other Unilocal reviews. We’d booked accommodations, and planned a weekend. Nevertheless, I was upset. The dealer didn’t know I’d planned ahead; only that we were driving up, from Berkeley, to see a car. So, I told them I’d consider making an offer; but that they’d need to make me a great deal to balance the equities. I sat down with the manager, I explained the situation, and I asked what he was prepared to do. His response? «I’ll tell them to be more careful in the future when listing cars.» I just blinked. He did ultimately agree to a 2.3% discount on the asking price; but when I tried to push further, he actually stated at one point, «That probably is a fair price, but I’m not going to do it.»
Wife and I left, and drove back to Berkeley the next day. On the way, we bought a newer CX-​5, with less miles, for roughly the same price as the dealer’s final offer — a final offer which he reiterated when he called us the next day [while we were driving back!] to see if we’d changed our minds. We had not. If you’re in the market for a car in Reno, check out Lithia Subaru, e.g., and stay away from these guys.
P. S.: Oh, and that bit about being more careful going forward? B.S.; as of today, 5÷13÷15, the same car is still listed on their website. It still purports to have the Touring Technology Package [it doesn’t] and navigation [it doesn’t]. The only thing that is different about the listing is that the asking price has been jacked up $ 1200 dollars. Who still tries to do business this way in the Information Age?

Just bought a new Mazda car from Dolan auto group & it was an amazing experience. I worked with Mike selecting my car and options and he was extremely knowledgeable. Just bought a SUV from Dolan Mazda — Kia and I’m am totally amazed at the service I have received. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a new or used vehicle, start at this place. The sales representatives Bisharat Ali, Mike C, Dave and Alfonso were absolutely helpful and worked with me and my wife to give us the perfect vehicle we wanted. They are also military friendly.

Let me preface this by saying that this place could have been 4 – 5 stars, and my review has little-​to-​nothing to do with the associate I worked with as he was very respectful and polite.
So today I made my way down there to have a look at a car I saw on their website that looked good, if this drove well I’d be willing to make a deal this very day for the right price.
As in my other review of a Dealership, I will lay out my experiences/​observations for people to draw their conclusions from.
First, service was very polite and very courteous. I liked that I could speak without being interrupted for a change and have the person I’m working with actually listen.
The dealership does force you to go on a premeditated route for your test drive, but on the other hand you can at least test drive it for as long as you wish until you feel satisfied with the feel of the car.
Their cars all look to be in good shape, it at least seems like a place you could buy a car from on faith that it would not have major mechanical problems. They aren’t selling junkers.
Now to get to the reason I left and why this review is 2 stars. I already had the Kelly Blue Book and True Market Values written down for this car, I know what it’s worth considering the factors present at my viewing.
They made me wait around for an excessively long period of time before negotiating price. Why? Because they wanted to run a credit check on me so they could attempt to snatch the loan from my bank, and have the audacity to offer me a higher APR at that. This done fully aware that I already had pre-​approval and having made it clear they would receive the value of the car in full at the time of purchase.
Let me reiterate that for clarity. I would have been buying the car from them straight up. There was no reason to waste over an hour of my time, refusing to speak on price until then. Very infuriating.
Next up, «required» VIN etching for $ 200 as a dealer fee. Listen folks, Nevada law requires dealers to OFFER it, you are not required to buy it. This is a straight up scam and several dealers in town do it.
Next up, the usual 2000+ dollar insurance package they «forgot» about added in to the price of the car. I caught them on this and questioned it, and you should look for this too. I assure you if it had been an option that LOWERED the price by $ 2000+ dollars they would not forget.
Finally, the last nail in the coffin. All of the above can be forgiven to an extent, but this dealership did the one thing no customer should ever put up with and that is to refuse to negotiate on price. I would have been willing to pay Kelly Blue Book value to the penny, which is more than a fair deal considering KBB is listing prices (Not what it actually sells for) assuming good condition.
To have the audacity to attempt to tell a customer you won’t negotiate on the price of a used car is the number one thing you never do. I can only take that as management insulting my intelligence and I will not accept that nor should anyone else.
In closing, buyer very much beware.
