My girlfriend and I went here on a Sunday for a relaxing brunch. We had read the reviews and had high expectations. Blue Moon met, or exceeded, all of them. Great table on the porch and great menus. I like champagne and usually avoid Mimosas because there is too much orange juice. Here they use water glasses with ice and the perfect ratio juice to champagne… really great with slice of fresh juicy orange. Crab, Lobster and Butternut bisque was great, layers of flavor and plenty of meat… can’t say anything but great things about this. The Fried Green Tomatoes… wow! Chive, Chèvre, Balsamic and Pesto on a perfect stack of wonderfully fried Tomatoes. I would go back again and again for these. The Oysters with Bacon, Fennel and Grana Padano cheese were the best Oysters we had ever eaten. We had to try the Salted Caramel Beignets before we left. The sauce was delicious but the beignets were a bit dense, good not great. The Cheddar Chive Biscuits was very very good. Service was polite and good, not great. A bit of a wait for drinks. That being said brunch was wonderful experience and we will be back. I would go 4.5 but they don’t have ½ star button.

As a chef, I must say that there are few area restaurants, on their best day, that can equal the Blue Moon’s food and service in the Delaware/Maryland beaches, I have eaten there a half dozen times in the past 2 years and it has always been great. Always a gourmet wrinkle such as octopus, sweetbreads or foi gras appetizers but also a great cheese tray with triple cream Bries, aged cheddars and great hearty blue cheeses along with accompanying candied nuts quince or apple butters to compliment the cheeses. It complimented our Carnero vinted Pinot Noir. I had Duck breast Pastrami it was served with spaetzel and spinach with a dijon sauce-fantastic. Smoky spicy duck cooked, perfectly wow. The steaks were cooked perfectly and served with roasted bone marrow still in the bone. Granted the marrow is an acquired taste but still it completed the presentation. Would have liked a Bordelaise made with the marrow on the steak. It the chef had attempted it, it would have been perfect I am sure. I would like to go back and try the king crab Langoustine and the Duroc pork chop. The real surprise was the Turnip cake. Even though it sounded less than appetizing, it was great. All of us ooo’d and aah’d with the first bite. Like a carrot cake, it was moist and spicy. Topped with a delicious butter cream and an apricot preserve on the side. The cake also was garnished with dried turnip coins that looked like flower petals. You guys do a great job.

Visiting from Jersey and noticed this place was highly reviewed; so I checked it out to see what was the whole buzz. My wife had the Rack Lamb and I had the Poached Maine Lobster. Both dishes was great. We both were eating off each others plate lol. Service was excellent. The waiter was pleasant and made sure we felt comfortable. We arrived during a busy night so it was a bit loud but we still enjoyed our dinner. Ambience was great! Will return again.

Pros: Consistently good food, served in creative fun ways. Great little cottage, with a fun bar/club next door. If you’re into drag shows, go for a tasty dinner and then to a show during summer and off season. The bar staff I’ve met at the club are awesome and that’s been consistent. The performers are also very good and entertaining and fun. Sidenote: I’ve always visited Blue Moon for birthdays and special occasions during the regular summer season and they’re awesome. Most of the off season wait staff is decent but seems like they’re less enthusiastic than the summer fun wait folks we’ve met. Not sure why, other than everyone is sad summer’s ending but let’s face it, at their prices, I want happy times always. Call me spoiled but it’s what I expect. Cons: Not many other than my side note above, and the usual parking issues since this is a beach. But parkmobile makes it easier and there are many options. Also, during off season, the meters are free.

Try the Tuesday Tasting! The selection was simply elegant. The wine pairing was excellent except for the dessert wine(The dessert wine could have been served by itself). Everything we ate was delicious. All in all it was a great bargain.

This place was the best part of our vacation. 9 of us were looking for a good time with very different wants and needs and all of them were met. The owner, Randy, was the best. When we ended up stranded and were to the point of walking home to Dewey because the cab scene ended early, he offered to bring us all home! 9 of us! His kindness was out of this world. Also, Stephanie was a doll, she was super helpful in actually getting us a cab home. The hospitality here is unreal, and the drinks were great, the atmosphere was fun and the music was perfect! Go here and you will not regret it.

Checked this place out the weekend after Labor Day and it was a ton of fun! Nice crowd. Not pretentious. Great music. Just a good time place! Being the weekend after Labor Day we had a really tough time getting a cab back to Dewey Beach. Like, it was pretty ridiculous. One of the managers or owners name Randy was a huge help in this and went above and beyond to help. Thanks a ton Randy!!! Definitely looking forward to coming back next summer!!!

We celebrated our first anniversary dinner here, lured by the great reviews and variety of steaks available. Our meal started with a comp bacon wrapped date on shortbread which was flavorful and chewy. For steak, I was disappointed to learn that they were out of the strip, but I selected the ribeye center cooked medium rare and was rewarded with a perfectly cooked, wonderfully peppered steak. Husband ordered the full ribeye and was equally in love with his steak. For sides, the cheesey grits can be passed on but the brussel sprouts are a must. Our waiter was a little snobby, but the joy of these steaks would have me coming back again and again!

Last night we celebrated my step-dad’s 60th, and we wanted to make it special, so we decided to have it catered and also include a wine tasting. We spoke to several restaurants and decided to go with Blue Moon. It was an easy decision after speaking to the owner, Megan. She was so helpful, even electing to accompany us to Bin 66 to pick out the high-end wine that we thought my step-dad would enjoy. Megan helped us choose the wine that she ended up using for the wine tasting that included hand-picked appetizers chosen according to the wine selections. The night was better than we could have ever imagined. The food was incredible, Megan and Arkites(spelled phonetically) were so awesome, and we couldn’t be happier. If you haven’t eaten at Blie Moon yet, you have to go. If you’re looking for a place to cater your party, Blue Moon is a no brainier. Love.

I came here last night for dinner and the food was absolutely amazing. We had the burrata to start as an appetizer and it was perfect. The sweet corn and balsamic really complimented the cheese. For dinner I had the special which was crab cakes and my girlfriend had the halibut. Both were equally delicious. For dessert we both split the homemade ice cream bombe. WOW. This was totally worth the few extra pounds that I probably put on eating it. It was more than enough for the both of us to share. I would say it’s big enough for 4 people. The service was also perfect. The food came out with enough time for us to digest between app/entrée/dessert. After we both wiped our plates clean we both agreed this is our new favorite restaurant and decided to go back for brunch today which was equally as amazing as dinner the night before. Definitely go!

We eat in NYC often and have had many great meals. This restaurant is ABSOLUTELY a must visit place when in the Rehoboth area! We love it there as the food is exceptional. Last night we had the octopus appetizer and shared the lobster and short rib entrees. It was mouth watering!!! Best octopus we have ever had. Drinks are great too, as was the homemade ice cream dessert. GO!!! You’re welcome :-)

For Rehoboth — fabulous! Pros — creative; inventive, good service, tasty Cons — too salty and cramped seating even for not a large man. Crispy octopus appetizer was so creative and tender. Somehow there was not enough octopi fingering potatoes and fried(crispy) chorizo. Our entrees were the halibut with fresh local corn kernels and purée plus peaches. Clean and fresh. The ‘pastrami’ duck was awesome with cherries, crippling onions and swiss chard in a whole grain mustard sauce. End result — a very enjoyable and tasty dinner after a long day at work. We’ll be back.

Please turn down the bar volume. On a recent Tues the long standing cabaret act was So LOUD playing in a sparsely filled tiled space it reached painful thresholds. Bar staff is unable to adjust, despite pleas from multiple patrons. Other events are similarly over loud, the entertainment may be appreciated by some tourists but noise keeps many away as well. Our dinner was ok every place deserves an off night, wait staff pros, and it’s time to remove Tasting Tues from web calendar)

It was okay, but I could have stayed in my hometown for this experience. It was okay. The drinks, by far, were the nest I ever had. The bartenders know what they are doing here. But, this is totally trendy. I could have stayed in Philadelphia for a drag show like this. Nothing out of the ordinary that screamed, «Rehoboth!» I would have liked to have had more drink options, too. Though the drinks were great, I paid $ 5.00 for a Yingling. If you like run-of-the-mill drag shows and high priced drinks(just like your city probably already has), then go here. Otherwise, I’d find something else to do while on vacation. Also, I didn’t even know there was a restaurant. It looks like a bar. The layout is confusing and if I knew food was available, I probably would have given a 4-rating.

I went with 2 friends to see The Judy Show. While waiting for the back room to open, I started with a Blue Moon Martini which was an orange version of a Cosmo but with a cool fluorescent ice cube in it. This drink was delicious as it was amusing! The show itself was fun and funny. The audience participated and jokes were based on specific people. Folding chairs were arranged theater style. We sat up front so we were singled out as expected but others in the back were too. The show was at least an hour long and $ 25; we felt we got our money’s worth. Even though the show was called The Judy Show, there were guest appearances by Pearl Bailey and Bette Davis. Liza was conspicuously missing!

The best restaurant we have experienced at the Delaware beaches. The duck breast is smoked, lending it a bacon-like flavor. The accompaniments were also strikingly tasty. The ribeye was well prepared and is served with a generous portion of bone marrow. The pecan pie is escorted by chocolate and caramel sauces and bourbon ice cream. The mixed drinks are strong, and pleasant tasting.

I was in Rehoboth for only three days, and I’m not shy to say that this restaurant was the absolute highlight of the visit. I went with two of my best friends because we were celebrating a birthday. The outside of the place is cute and inviting, with waiters ready to beckon you inside. We were seated in a booth/chair table and asked for our wine order. Our waiter was courteous and kind, and was patient as we scoured the menu. The lighting was perfect, and general atmosphere was elegant with a farm-home tough that added a great feeling of comfort. The menu was wonderful– not so many options that I was overwhelmed, but enough to give me plenty of choice. The appetizers looked amazing and the entrees equally as delicious. Before we could even order, we were brought fresh, hot, sweet rolls and butter AND compliments of the chef: a cold salmon cake on a fresh potato crisp. PERFECT. I don’t really like fish but this salmon was wonderful. Not a fishy taste, and not too salty. We had our bread and fish crackers, and then I ordered the Jerusalem artichoke soup with candied pine nuts, sweet onion foam, and coffee gastrique. I was skeptical but proved wrong. The soup was thick, sweet, and had several wonderful textures going on. Best soup I’ve had in a long time, and SO different. My entrée was the miso salmon with wok vegetables and a jasmine rice cake. The salmon was flavorful, fatty, and so it fell apart as I ate it. The rice cake was seasoned beautifully and fried lightly in Panko. The vegetables were light; I’m guessing they were not fried in oil which made the whole meal lighter and more appetizing. The whole dish was sitting in a sweet miso broth that tied all the components together. Dessert was a must, and we had to treat Ourselves to the blue moon special: the giant ice cream cake with macadamia/caramel crumble, a cookie crust, and a s’mores coating. I have to say, I expected it to just be an overload of sugar, but it was surprisingly balanced with all the textures. A definite indulgence but well worth it. In an ice cream aficionado so this 5-layer ice cream cake was basically heaven. Overall: the food was incredible. I’ll be back, blue moon!
