John and Raphael did a great job on both of my vehicles that i brought in to get the windows tinted. They were both very nice and did the job in a timely manner. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who would like their windows to look professionally done. I had a huge dent on my door and John recommended me to Bula Body Shop, which also did an outstanding job repairing my door.

These guys did a fantastic job on both of my jobs. They did a few windows in my house about 6 months ago, so when I bought a new car I knew where to go. A number of shops I talked to were unwilling to tint the very small triangle windows on my Golf, but I simply couldn’t have that — the unbalanced look would bother me even though they’re not windows you look through.
Raphael seemed to think it was crazy that others WOULDN’T do that, and that it wouldn’t be a complete job if they weren’t done. He discussed the brands of tint they use, and why he uses the brands he uses. Rather than just look for an installer that sells whatever brand someone on a car forum tells me to use (especially when that’s the only one they’ve ever had), I’d much rather trust the opinion of a professional who works with this stuff every day.
They did my entire car in under 3 hours, the work was flawless, AND they charged less than anyone else I spoke to. Usually you can’t have it all, but with these guys, you can.

The guy was super nice and they did a great job. I wasn’t able to leave work early and he set me up to pick up the car later which was much appreciated.
I was unsure about which tints to get and he advised me based on my needs and I think he made absolutely the right call so I’m very happy. Would recommend!

After my window was smashed for a second time in San Francisco I went on the search to replace my clear windows of my 2014 Subaru. Since the clear windows are more expensive and longer to have in stock, I decided to replace windows of differing places with tinted windows. Then I was left with a multi colored windowed truck and feeling pretty silly. I had a referral to come here to tint the remaining windows from the business that fixed my side window. I waited a week because they are very busy, but it was so worth the wait. They are fast, considerate, and they did an EXCELLENT job. I used to be under the impression that secondary tinting looks bubbly and awful but no one would ever know that all of my windows did not come tinted from the factory when they were done. I went down the street for a little and then they were finished with 3 side windows and two mini half windows. I highly recommend.

Raphael defines what a good quality manager should be. Great communication through phone and email with very honest responses. This place is highly recommended.

I had a great experience. I filmed all windows. Owner doesn’t guarantee that the front two windows and front windshield comply to DMV standards (you can’t reduce light more that 30% in California), but since I went with the clear film, I knew I was okay. The front windows reduce heat 44% and UV rays 99%, if memory serves me correctly. I went with darker windows in back and back wind shield, but not too dark because I wanted to see out the windows at night with my existing back up lights. I told the owner I wanted no bubbles. He said if there were a few, they would disappear in a few days As it turned out, there were none. He did a perfect job. Before going with this company, I checked out places that had better reviews but charged a lot more. I’m so glad I went with this company.
By the way, I think it was well worth doing. Granted, I have sun sensitive skin, but even so, it was well worth doing. I wear black leggings which used to burn through direct window sun, and now just feel medium warm. Yes, the car gets hot when sitting in the sun, but cools off much faster when I start the car and AC. If you are even considering filming the windows, you will love the difference. Odd note: car dealerships don’t know the heat resistant rating or UV rating on the cars they sell, as far as I could find out. They should.

This place has an outstanding customer service and holds an integrity. The manager (Raphael) offered and suggested what level grade for my car windows to be tinted. Plus, made room for my car to be available be service.
If you’re around looking for service and quality… I highly recommend this place and ask for Raphael.

Tinting job is not good at all, quite a number of small bubbles, probably dust got in but they didn’t clean up enough
And the edge of the rear window was cut very unevenly, not a straight line at all.

Called in on a Tuesday for an estimate on my 2014 Honda accord, they were really friendly over the phone. I was able to get an appointment the next day. They told me the car would take 2 – 3 hours. I was indecisive on the tint percentages I wanted, and they were very helpful assisting. I ended up going with 3M tints 50% in the front and 35% in the back. The price was very reasonable, and the quality was excellent. I was very happy with my window tint it came out just the way I wanted. Plus, they assured me they had a life time guarantee. The best part was that they had the car done in an hour! I will definitely be coming here in the future for all my tints!

I was recommended to The Preferred Image by a few friends that had work done previously. I called in and spoke to Jon who was very attentive to my schedule and ended up booking an appointment. I was told the install would take around three hours to complete tinting 7 windows. So a little worried I explained that I was on a tight schedule and would need my car back by 1:30 (three hours exactly). Around 11:30 I received a call from Jon saying my car was ready… What, really? Ok great.
Bottom line I am extremely pleased with the work that was done, great price and quick turnaround. Customer for life.

windows tinted on my Honda 2014 I usually go to tints r us but since he was booked up I looked up preferred image .Juan was very nice and my windows look great !! Only thing was they told my 9am was my appt and no one showed til 920…

Excellent quality of work! I brought in my new Lexus from a referral for window tinting and they did a great job for a very reasonable price. The car looked immaculate when I picked it up. Highly recommended.

Wow these guys are amazing! I got my sweaters and t-​shirts customized. I can put anything i want. Also got my Playstation 4 wrapped. They have huge selection of colorful vinyl. I picked white carbon fiber. Pretty sweet. Thanks! Defiantly recommend.

I’m pretty selective about who I let take care of my car. These guys took care of me, and I’d recommend them to a friend. I had them remove tint from several years ago that ended up peeling off. They did that plus tinted 3 windows for a great price. In fact, it was one of the lowest prices I was quoted — I called several local tint shops. I went with Preferred Image due to their track record, and they did not disappoint.

This place is a total joke! I took my brand new car here for them to COMPLETE a stereo installation that was already in progress (boyfriend and his friend did the majority of the install and had done a better than professional job). Unfortunately, due to my impatience and availability issues, they did not complete the installation.
I went over to Preferred Image based on the positive Unilocal reviews. I spoke with the owner and specifically told him what needed to be completed and asked for an estimate. He gave me a quote and I returned a few days later to have them complete the install.
Upon picking up my car, my blue tooth wire was installed in a spot other than where I was told it would be. My IPOD cord (which my boyfriend had put an extension on so I could listen to my IPOD in the interim) was connected through my glove box, extension and all (this is after I specifically told them that the extension was not to be included). They broke my hazard blinker button… When I brought it to their attention, they did not accept responsibility for it. Rather, they told me to go to Mazda and said that the button would be covered under my warranty (which it wasn’t because the stereo installers broke it). Lastly, my car was filthy when they were done with it. Finger prints and smudge marks all over my brand new (tan interior) vehicle.
After finding out that Mazda could do nothing (since it wasn’t a warranty issue), I returned to Preferred Image to advise the owner of the less than average job they had done on my vehicle. All he kept saying was that «that is what you told us to do, we did what you told us to do». If you want me to fix it it will cost you $ 80 additional. So sorry… I think NOT! They should have fixed what they messed up at no cost.
Moral of the story: This place is horrible and they lack professionalism. They won’t take accountability for their errors. Needless to say, I will NEVER return. I will tell anybody I know who asks for a stereo install/​window tint recommendation to steer clear of this pathetic establishment!

They guys are great. I had them do the three rear windows on my Mercedes Benz s550. They answered the phone promptly, gave a very competitive quote and had the car finished on-​time. Bottom Line, the car looks great. Im a happy customer.

I selected The Preferred Image after reading Unilocal reviews. I was in an unusual situation, as I had my windows tinted years ago in another state, and got pulled over in California for having my rear window tint over the third brake light. So I needed a shop to actually *remove* window tint from a small area in my car’s back window. I stopped in one Monday afternoon to ask if they could do that (I’d do it myself, but I don’t know anything about window tint and figure I’d just mess it up). It was around Noon-​thirty and the door was locked and nobody was there, despite the hours on the door saying they were open. I phoned from my cell and nobody answered.
I called the next day and spoke with Raphael. He said sometimes they have to go out to do a window on-​site someplace and have to leave briefly. I told him about my window tint problem and he said they were busy and we agreed I’d call back the next day. The next day I called, they said to come on in, I did, and they removed the tint over the third brake light in about 15 minutes. They did a great job and charged me just $ 20. I’m very pleased. I’d definitely go there for window tinting, if my windows weren’t already tinted.
