Our crunchy, buttery sweet, creamy almond toffee, frosted with sinfully decadent rich chocolate and generously sprinkled with California fresh chopped almonds tickles your taste buds and leaves your mouth begging for more.

History

Established in 2010.

Donna has been making her toffee for almost 40 years, giving it to friends and family as gifts. In 2010 a friend encouraged her to go into business. The idea was overwhelming, but she began thinking of names. Donna’s grandmother often said, «everyone to their own taste, just like the lady who kissed the cow.» Being a firm believer of live and let live, it just seemed natural to use that sentiment in the company name. Donna then began visualizing logo ideas. When she knew exactly what she wanted she turned to a long time friend, Julie Peterson Goonan, to turn it into a work of art. Being a Women’s Initiative Simple Steps course graduate, she slowly started down the road to fulfilling her toffee company dream. Since June 2013, Tantalizing Toffee from The Lady Who Kissed the Cow has quickly become a favorite online, at farmers markets and street fairs as well as corporate boutiques. They’ve come a long way, but Donna believes the best chapters of the journey are yet to come.

Business Owner

Donna has worked in various fields including several years in medicine and geriatrics. She worked at a winery and then helped start up one of the first artificial intelligence corporations with scientists from SRI and Stanford. She was the managing partner of a music publishing and production company, and also owned a small muffin company. Music has long been an important part of Donna’s life, along with her love of art, reading, nature, and comedy. A native Californian, she dearly loves the San Francisco Bay Area and it’s beautiful coastlines. Donna’s son is the apple of her eye. He has been instrumental in helping establish her toffee business.
