Charles installed a tankless Navien water heater for us recently. He did a very thorough and professional job — even coming out subsequent to the installation to tweak the unit and optimize it’s performance at no additional cost.
Charles & his wife, Angela, are straight-​shooters, honest, thorough and pleasant. Prices seem fair and reasonable. We’ll be back!!! (PS — Charles is now about half the size of his picture on Unilocal,so don’t be deterred — he can get into the tighter locations.)

I called Sanctified for the first time because our usual sewer guy did not return my messages. I won’t be going back to the old plumber. Sanctified has an actual and very nice dispatcher answering the phone. We made an appointment and he arrived exactly on time, snaked out the drain line, explained to me how a home drainage system works, what kind of repairs we were eventually in for, how they can do a scope and inspection in the future, etc., without any sales pitch. The price was very resonable and there was even a first-​time customer discount. Highly recommended.

Once again, Charles came through. As I said in my 2012 review, this guy is as honest as the day is long. And that is nice in a plumber. He was very clear about what the repair would cost and there were no surprises. Sanctified is a safe bet.

They came over to my house to give me an estimate on removing a lego from my drain. After disassembling it, they told me it would take 3 people up to 3 hours to fix my drain for a potential total of about $ 900. I said no thank you.
They left without reassembling my drain, and took one of the screws with them. They left my drain unusable and refused to even talk to me again, not returning phone calls.
A trip to home depot for new screws and shop vac, and I removed the lego myself for $ 105.

Charles came out to my house because none of our toilets would flush and water was backing up in the tub. Our usual plumber was busy and warned me about getting «price gouged». Not the case with Sanctified! Charles discovered that the main line needed to be cleaned at the exit and Redwood City Public Works should take care of it for free! Even waived the consultation fee. I appreciate his honesty and integrity and would not hesitate to call Charles again.

Called Sanctified to have them take a look at a leaking waste pipe in the corner of our basement. Charles showed up on time to take a look and give an estimate (my wife was there for the estimate). He recommended digging up outside the house, as the cast iron pipe was broken near the foundation on the inside, so to fully replace the broken portion, he would have to access it from both sides of the foundation.
Due to the cost, I initially thought to just have him snake the line instead (it was leaking from the top of the cast iron pipe, so there was a partial blockage. remove the blockage, could have stopped the leaking). I called and chatted with Charles and he convinced me it was risky to leave this pipe the way it was.
After digging out the front, he showed me the pipe on that side of the foundation, which was totally cracked and leaking into the ground. :(
He did an excellent job replacing the pipe, using PVC that won’t corrode. The connections to the existing cast iron look rock solid.
The best part though, after he left, you totally can’t even tell anything was done to the ground outside my house!!! He cleaned up perfectly (he had put the rocks and dirt into buckets when digging it out). Same for the inside, it was actually cleaner in that area than before he started.
Nice guy as well and I would definitely recommend him, especially for any major waste pipe work.

review for honesty. I called him based on Unilocal reviews. I told him the situation — toilets were draining slowly. previous plumber had come and and tried said it was the city’s problem. He said he could come the next day but to call the city and they could come out that day and why not have the city do a free consult? Very honest and helpful and saved me plumber #2! Said his speciality is 90% sewers. so next time I have such an issue I am calling Sanctified plumbing! Husband = plumber. wife = front desk.

Late on a Friday night, found that my outdoor booster pump’s hose was leaking and spraying a fine mist. Called Charles at Sanctified. He showed up on time, first thing Saturday morning, diagnosed the problem, bought the parts needed even though he had to try 3 different stores, came back and fixed the problem and put in a better hose than originally. All-​in, my problem was fixed within 12 hours. I’m a happy camper. 5 stars!

I was very impressed. Charles came late on a weekday in the time frame they said he was going to show up. I was greeted with a nice handshake and a business card. He was able to resolve our plumbing nightmare in under 30 minutes! Will definitely recommend him and will use him again if we need to. He knew that we were stuck and could have gouged us as many trades people do when they know you’re in trouble. He didn’t, very fair. Great Job!

If you believe it should take four days to repair or replace a hot water heater, enjoy the suspense of not knowing if your plumber is going to show up on time — if at all, find updates or having your phone calls returned a hassle, and are thrilled with a huge bill, then Sanctified Plumbing is for you.

These guys are fantastic — we needed some routine work done on drains at our house (some deferred maintenance from a previous owner) and they were punctual, polite, friendly, and thorough. While here, I also mentioned a couple of other projects that I had forgotten to mention on the phone (cleaning a french drain, storm drain), and Charles and his team happily checked them out and dove in. I hope to not need more plumbing services for a while, but when I do I will call Charles again and would happily recommend him to others.

Found out about Charles at Sanctified Plumbing through a neighborhood email list. He is a great find! We just purchased an older home where a lot of the plumbing had been done by a previous homeowner.
Charles helped us fix what needed to be fixed while advising us about what was not standard but would work OK. I felt like he did everything I asked him to and gave me the information so I could make informed decisions about what else to repair or replace.
The work was all done on short notice and Charles really helped me get the house in order for our move in date.

I’m re-​reviewing Sanctified Plumbing because my original review of them has been filtered. The irony of that is that I actually found Sanctified Plumbing by reading Unilocal.
I first contacted Sanctified Plumbing for a «nice-​to-​have»: extending the existing gas line from its point of entry into the kitchen, so that we could replace our two-​burner electric cooktop with a much more serious gas cooktop. Soon after that job completed we had our first real ‘plumbing’ emergency, and Charles replaced our old water heater with a new, tankless model. He has since performed a wide range of plumbing-​related projects at our house, completing his work in a timely manner that respected our budget.
I hope I don’t NEED him again in a hurry, but I’d call him again in a heartbeat. [That’s still true, several months later.]
