Insert card, fill up, exit station.

Good location, cheap prices, bio diesel, regular diesel, and all the usual gasoline grades. It’s on the easily accessible corner of Whipple and 101 across from a McD’s and down the road from the rare and glorious IHOP. They have a nice little store and the guy who usual works the counter is a sweetie.

Propel’s Redwood City location is my favorite they have. Lily S. should know that Propel is not Valero, and they are not affiliated with the station attendants. The only issue I have had, which has only been a receipt, I have dealt with the customer service rep, and she was fantastic. B5 is great but would love it if they had B20 there, like they do at a lot of other Bay Area locations. Price is right there with the Valero for diesel, except the diesel is B5 which is like a premium grade for your engine, more lubricity. I really like the clean look and will be filling up here from now on.

Filled up here for the first time a few days ago. Location is good, pump is clean, and they have a list of the vehicles that can officially use Flex Fuel in case you’re unsure. The pump is managed independently by Propel rather than the onsite staff, but they have a customer service number posted front and center if you need help with anything, and the woman filling up at the same time said she called it once before when she first had questions about biodiesel (also dispensed here) and they were really helpful. Hope to see more of these stations popping up in the Bay Area soon.

I like going to Propel to get my E85 because they are always clean and well maintained. You really notice the difference because you see the rest of the station and the Propel side is alwasy super clean, like night and day. The price is always great and the place is open 24 – 7.

Might as well be the first to review though there’s not much to say… It’s a fuel stop; how much can someone write? The Propel Fuel is on a separate island of the Valero station at the same site. There’s four pumps: two for E85 and two for B5. One of each is on either side of the machine. They’re even color-​coded: yellow for E85 and green for the biodiesel.
The prices are average (I paid 4.25/gallon for the B5). The space is well-​lit, open after-​hours (even though no one’s working), and generally clean. The Propel station is brand new so the diesel pump handles don’t have the lovely coating of diesel on them… yet. While I don’t use E85, the pump even has a listing of all the cars that’s compatible with it. There’s also paper pamphlets for the locations of other Propel fuel sites (which kind of goes against the whole green mentality that Propel is promoting), and you get the opportunity to enter your phone number before pumping if you signed up for CleanDrive and want to track how much CO2 and foreign oil you saved.
Hmmmm…guess you CAN write a lot about a little fuel stop. I like this place because of the B5 and plan on coming here for all of my diesel needs.
