Greco Granite is a specialty contractor licensed and bonded in California. We specialize in custom slab fabrication and installation of all natural stone, Caesarstone and alternative counter top materials. We do walls and flooring in stone and tile too. Thomas Sperow, owner & operator has been in the industry for 27 years and he also specializes in antique fireplace installation. History

Established in 2003.

Thomas Sperow, owner & operator has been working in the stone fabrication business since 1984. He worked for 2 very reputable companies in San Francisco starting out as apprentice and steadily moving toward Expert Craftsman.

In 2002 Greco Granite Corp. was born and Thomas went solo to have more control of his end product and business dealings.

In 2005 Greco Granite Corp. signed a lease in Redwood City. Our boutique fab shop has a showroom for client comfort and safety to design your kitchen, bathroom, fireplace or other stone/​tile needs.

In 1984, Thomas Sperow started out as an apprentice stonemason and helper at Andrea’s Natural Marble in San Francisco. Working under the mentorship of a master stonemason from Italy, Thomas not only learned his craft, he helped start up the business and as a result obtained some very valuable skills in purchasing equipment, tools and supplies and running a fabrication shop. Fast forward two decades later Thomas is the expert craftsman and stonemason who has long dreamt of owning his own business. Greco Granite Corp. is officially born in 2003. Thomas became a licensed contractor in the state of California.

I called Tom to ask him if he could help us pick up a slab, do the cuts and install it. He could not do it as we were in a rush but he was very professional over the phone and based on other review, we feel that he would have done a great job.
One lesson we learned as redoing our kitchen. Don’t be in a Rush.

After trying a few other sources that were of little help, Tom (Thomas Sperow) agreed to come down to Morgan Hill to estimate fabricating and installing a new limestone fireplace mantel, surround, and hearth. We picked out the slab, Tom fabricated, and made two trips down to install. The new gas insert was installed two days later, and we are very happy with the results! This was a fairly small job, but Tom took it on and did a great job.

This place is amazing. Tom is great. We were in a bind because we were behind on getting the countertops for our bathroom remodels done. We called him and he was open on Saturday (!). He helped us out that day to pick some remnants that were perfect for our bathrooms, and quickly delivered and installed as we needed. The first bathroom looks great, and the second one is on the way. This is a first-​class operation and service. Definitely recommend to everyone.

We first planned on going with some prefab granite. But after considering the fact that we would be waking up to this kitchen for the next 20 years, we decided that we wanted something a little more unique. We are very happy with Tom’s work, he’s truly an artist and an excellent craftsman. Although it cost a bit more than the prefab guys, we think it was well worth it.

Tom is AMAZING! He was able to salvage my terrible builders grade kitchen granite! I needed a hole cut in my island for a cook top and Tom was the only person I called that would do it for a reasonable price. While he was here he also gave me a fantastic quote for my bathroom vanity counter top. He was above professional and a pleasure to work with.

Tom has done granite for us three times over several years. He did a very intricate Calacatta (white similar to Carrara) marble top for our sideboard with fancy ogee edges and protrusions (I don’t know what to call them). He did a Carrara marble top for my gorgeous laundry room sink. He did our guest bath Bianco Antico granite counter top, including installing the sinks, again with fancy ogee edges, my granite desktop with a plain edge, and the granite on the tops of the half-​walls in our stairwell, with ogee edges again. He also cut an oval hole in a granite topped accent cabinet that will be converted to a vanity in our powder room, as soon as I get the sink glazed.
He is absolutely pleasant, totally professional, reliable and gets the job done in the time frame agreed upon. He keeps in touch and you are never left hanging.
I recommend the quality of his work and his professionalism. We are very happy with his work and intend to remodel our master bath with slab stone in the shower instead of tile. He will get the job. He also always has useful suggestions and will tell you if something is not going to work.

I have hired Thomas for three jobs (including kitchen and bathroom) and can highly recommend him. He is very professional and his work product is excellent. He’s also a very nice guy. He’s well known among the stone and granite retailers on the peninsula, so he’ll pick up the slab once you have chosen it and can work with the retailers to get you a trade discount. Check out his off cuts if you only have a small job.
