Brian K Yee, DDS

This is the best dentist I’ve been to in the Bay Area. The office is clean, Dr. Yee is fast, thorough, and professional, and the whole process feels easy. The office is conveniently located right by the redwood city train station.

I have been going to Dr. Yee since he opened his practice about 8 years ago. He is very nice and professional. Mostly I have gotten the routine cleaning twice a year, which he does himself. About 7 years ago, he did a fantastic job on veneers on my front teeth. He even came in on the weekend when I had cracked my temporary veneer. His office staff has always been very professional and I’ve never had to worry about any insurance billing, they take care of it all. Would highly recommend!

Had a routine exam performed today by Dr. Brian Yee, the owner.
Pros: Virtually no wait, simple paperwork, satellite TV (ESPN!) at the dentist chair, very careful attention, made me feel at ease, patient in explaining the condition of my teeth.
Con: Can’t think of any yet.

I have been going to Dr. Yee for 2 – 3 years now ever since my prior dentist of 30 years sold his practice and the new dentist was expensive and non caring. I have been pleased with Dr. Yee’s work. I recently had a crown and although I had trouble with the temporary crowns, this permanent one is a perfect fit. Love going to a dentist who offers Kerig machine coffee in his waiting room and a TV on the wall at every station.
No complaints. He is soft spoken but quick and thorough.

I had a crown done by Dr Yee. As soon as the numbness went away I knew there was a problem with the crown. It was much higher than the other teeth and didn’t allow a normal bite. I went back a couple of times and he attempted to file it down, he never got it correct. The last time I went there I was told to, «live with it». After «living with it» for a couple of months, the crown failed and broke. Dr. Yee refused to take any responsibility for his poor quality work. I had to have it redone by another dentist at my own expense, about $ 1500.00. I wouldn’t suggest having anything other than basic work done there.

We’ve been going to Dr. Yee for years and he’s been great. Very patient and takes the time to explain what he’s doing. His office always calls to reconfirm appointments and they are flexible when you need to reschedule.
Office is conveniently located in the Sequoia Station shopping center so plenty of parking. They aren’t open every day but Dr. Yee came in on a Saturday evening when a friend from out of town needed some emergency dental work. Called a number of other dentists that were open on Saturday, but they wouldn’t accept new patients over the weekend. Dr. Yee went the extra mile. Highly recommend.

I have been going to Dr Yee for about 2 – 3 years now and he is great. Answers your questions, doesn’t take too many patients at a time so he isn’t rushed when you’re with him. Would definitely recommend him for general dentistry.

Dr. Brian Yee D.D.S is very thorough and pleasant. He does great job explaining the status of your dental health. He instructed my sister what she
has to do to keep her teeth and gums in great shape. His office is cozy and
clean. Everyone is very friendly in the office.
Overall I would DEFINATELY recommend Dr. Brian Yee to anyone who needs a great dentist in the area.

Just an update since it’s been a couple years since my last review, I recently had a filling done with Dr. Yee and he called me after to follow up and make sure everything was okay. That was very much appreciated. I don’t remember my previous dentists ever doing that. His practice is small and totally worth supporting. He always seems to go the extra mile to make sure his patients are taken care of.

The whole process of seeing a doctor have always given me an uneasy feeling. Even if you have an appointment, you still have to wait to be seen. And when the doctor is ready to see you, it just seem they are always in a rush to move on to the next patient.
This is definitely not the feeling that I get with Dr. Yee. I’ve been going to him for a few years now. He does all the work, including the teeth cleaning. Very gentle hands I must say. Dr. Yee actually spends the entire appointment with you rather than those other dentists who just peak in for two seconds to look at your x-​ray after the hygienist cleans your teeth.
He’s personable and easy to talk to. My appointments with him are usually on time. I can’t remember waiting for more than 5 minutes. When I’m running late (I always blame it on 101 traffic), he seems to always accommodate me and not give me a hard time.
I’ve never had any billing problems with Dr. Yee like the previous reviewer. I’m sure it was an honest clerical mistake.
I would definitely take my daughter here once she has some teeth.

Dr. Yee has been my dentist for over 4 years. Since my first visit, I have been very comfortable with his dental cleanings and examinations. He’s personable and explains in detail if there are any issues or concerns. His office manager is also extremely professional and takes the time to explain all dental insurance details and what is expected.
The office is always neat and organized. The location is great. Parking is a breeze. For those that use Caltrain, his office is 10 steps away from the Redwood City station. Can’t get any easier!
I thoroughly recommend Dr. Yee to anybody looking for a dentist.

Went to Brian Yee’s office and had cleaning done. After the service was completed, I asked about changing my current silver fillings to white. I was told that the service can be done for XX amount of dollar, but decided to decline given the cost.
2 weeks in, i received a call from his receptionist about an accidental charge for the change of filling that was never performed and was told that they are going to reverse the change. No foul play at that point, so i was not aggravated. 2 months later i decided to call my insurance provider to make sure that the payment have been reversed, but was never done so. Which brought up the red flag of shady dentist!!! So all Unilocalers looking for a good dentist BEWARE!!! DONT GO TO BRIAN YEE’s office.
