Specialties

AV Workshop offers complete video services for the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond! We transfer film frame by frame in HD, convert video tapes to DVD and hard drive, scan photos, negative and slides as well as perform video shoots and digital video editing!

We are a smaller company that focuses on quality control and customer satisfaction. We have provided professional and personal video services in Redwood City for 29 years and have never lost a master or memory!

Every staff member here at AV, has a Bachelors degree in this field… not computer science or business. If you cherish your media and want to have someone digitize, duplicate or edit in house and not worry about it being lost or shipped over-seas, bring it to AV Workshop, where the person you talk to on the phone or at the front counter is actually the same person who will be working on your project.

Film Transfer to DVD — We scan 8 mm, Super 8 and 16 mm film frame by frame in 1920×1080p High Definition. By transferring your film in HD, we can create a 1080p Bluray or HD video file such as a mp4. Also we can create a 30p DVD.

Video to DVD Transfer — we enhance your camcorder tapes as well as VHS tapes by running the video s ignal through a TBC in the video transfer to digital process. Thus, your videos will look as good as possible.

Video to Hard Drive — We convert video tapes to quick time files for the MAC or AVI files for Windows.

We also transfer audio tapes and albums to CD as well as photo scanning.

History

Established in 1980.

Scott graduated from SFSU with a B.A. in Broadcast & Electronic Comm. in 2001 and immediately purchased Audio Video Workshop (formerly known as Euro Video). Scott expanded the existing video transfer services to include Video Production, Video Editing as well as CD & DVD Duplication and HD Film Scanning. While Scott’s focus in college was Digital Video Editing with an emphasis on 2D/3D Animation, Scott has built this business based on the needs of the community. Scott thoroughly enjoys the personal experience of preserving people’s past. Whether it’s archiving hundreds of oral interviews for the Center of Holocaust Survivors or digitizing someone’s personal home video, Scott says that AV Workshop’s services are for everyone! When Scott is not in the shop, he can be found on the baseball field coaching his son’s tournament baseball team Pacifica Reflex or on the mat training in Shotokan Karate.
