The Redondo Beach Hotel

Had a great stay at the Redondo Beach Hotel! We stayed here overnight after a wedding party and we’ve never had a better experience at a hotel than I did here!
The Redondo has recently been refurbished and is located across the street from the harbor and ocean. There are great restaurants within walking distance of The Strand, which offers miles of walking, biking, and skating along miles of beautiful beaches.
Every little detail of this hotel so nice, from the high quality flatscreen TVs to the continental breakfast, which have waffle makers, yogurts, bagels, toast, cereal, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, and more!
The pool and jacuzzi are very nice, the beds are super comfortable, the robes and towels are soft and cozy. The best thing of all is that they always hot water for tea, a Coffee Bean & Tea boutique, hot chocolate, fruit, and chocolate chip cookies.
It reminds me a lot of the boutique hotels that you would find in downtown San Francisco. If you are staying in Redondo, I would definitely recommend it. Overall, I would say that this is a great hotel for families or couples looking for a relaxing get away.

Hotel was pretty good, nice confortable beds, good breakfast included along with wine and cheese happy hours in the evening. Staff was terrific, the only drawback was the jacuzzi was not set high enough to be a pleasure in.
Location of hotel is perfect for access to many restaurants and also for the King Harbor Redondo Beach pier. You can walk to a whale watching ship named the Voyager, which has an outstanding captain and crew with a vast amount of knowledge and skill. We saw over 12 gray whales on our 3 hour trip, by far the best one i have ever been on..

Front desk clerk was friendly and checked us in quickly. The rooms are a decent size and clean. The shower was exceptional. Great views of the marina if you get a marina view room. Location is also perfect: walk to marina, Baleen Kitchen, and many other bars and restaurants. They have a continental breakfast in lobby. I didn’t eat anything because there are no vegetarian /​vegan options, but for the non-​veggies I guess it was okay.

After all the reviews and the going rates I decided to stay at this place .
Location — Prime its in front of lots of nice restaurants, activities, pier, and much more.
Rates — Competitive to local surrounding hotel’s with more to offer. Got hooked up with free parking for being nice I think lol.
Surroundings — Hotel is very kept up and kept clean with a clean modern look to it.
Rooms — The rooms are very nice, well maintained, modern, but could use a jet tub or walk in showers.
Amenities — Place offers a nice clean pool (not heated), decent size whirlpool, laundry room, continental breakfast (seen better), free HBO, and a little store to get last minute stuff.
Would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

I stayed at this hotel on New Years Eve. First of all, the hotel was completely booked and I was lucky enough to get a room through Hotwire. I requested a room with one bed (king or queen) and surprisingly when I checked in, I was given a room with double beds. Of course when I told the employee at the front desk, she said there’s absolutely nothing they could do about it. I went on to just enjoy my stay and not worry too much about that. On the day of checkout, the employee at the front desk insisted on charging me for parking, however, parking fee was never mentioned at check-​in and I told her I wasn’t going to pay for parking because nobody mentioned anything about a parking fee until the moment that I was about to check out. The lady apologized and said to not worry about paying for parking. A few days later, I checked my bank statement and see that my card was charged $ 11 four days after my stay, without anyone notifying me first. I do not agree with that at all.

Had a great stay at the Redondo Beach Hotel October 27^th — November 4^th.
A recently totally refurbished property located across the street from the harbor and ocean. Good restaurants are within walking distance in a safe area. The Strand offers miles of walking, biking and skating along miles of beautiful beaches.
Rooms are very well decorated and clean. The lobby area is use for complimentary breakfast and the managers hour snacks and drinks Monday through Thursday evenings. The lobby and adjacent patio are clean and well maintained and comfortable. The pool was very well maintained and clean. Poolside was welcoming.
The desk staff greeted us and treated us professionally with a friendly and helpful attitude. Jennifer was never without a smile and friendly comfortable conversation. Karen was helpful with area information and bike rentals.
No, this is not an economy hotel but it is very competitive with the big name chain across the street and offers better prices and amenities. I put this in the moderate price range for a property with a fantastic staff and a clean, quiet, secure and safe location. Not having a bar and restaurant on site allows for staff to focus on guests and the facility.
I booked my next stay before I even finished my first stay.

This is a 3.5 STAR This is a remodeled Best Western. The beds are very comfortable. It has a pool, spa, and workout room, and very friendly staffers. A simple breakfast is offered in the morning. Location is across from the harbor. Even though it’s been remodeled, it’s still a bit pricey for the design/​style of the hotel. Not a luxury property, but definitely good enough for a night or two. Appreciated the free wifi.

We absolutely loved this hotel. For less than we paid for a night in a soulless corporate inn wedged between the 405 and a belching refinery, we stayed at this hotel full of character right near the water.
We were here for several days while our baby was at Torrance Memorial Hospital building up the strength required to join our nutty family. Our favorite things about this hotel included:
* Fresh, contemporary décor in the lobby and rooms
* Lovely free breakfast in the AM, free fresh coffee and tea all day in the lobby
* Warm, helpful staff
* Rooms feature huge TVs, a proper table to eat at, working AC. Very comfortable to be in, even for a long time.
* An easy walk to the water and tons of places to eat, shop, have a beer
* The price point was really good – plus, we got a lot more amenities for less $ than the other hotels in the area.
* The vibe is casual with an upscale touch. So it’s not stuffy or overly solicitous. Just designed and run with your comfort in mind.
The Redondo Beach Hotel was part of the most exciting, stressful, exhausting, wonderful trip of our lives. We’re so grateful to have had this place to come «home» to. And we’ll be back.

This is a great hotel, rated #1 on trip advisor for hotel values in Redondo Beach.
It’s not a luxury hotel, it’s a solid 3 star, but it’s a little on the spendy side, $ 850 for 5 days 4 nights. Bear in mind, that was not for the bay view with balcony, but city view, I mostly just saw the parking lot out the window.
Parking was $ 11 or $ 12 which is reasonable for the area, Portofino is twice that as is Crown Plaza. Though you can get C.P. parking for the same price as this hotel if you are a member.
The breakfast was continental plus, which means there are hot items, definitely a very decent breakfast. Coffee was offered all day and it was excellent coffee!
The front desk staff was very nice.

Nice clean pool, slightly a bit cool.
The room was clean and comfy, the TV was a million inches big! Woah that was a big TV!
The hotel is walking distance from the beach which is awesome.
It’s not on PCH which many hotels are, so it’s quiet, no road noise.
This use to a Best Western hotel, they renovated the hotel and it looks great.
Can’t really think of anything bad other than it’s slightly spendy, but we will likely be back.

Had my wedding here. From my experience and all the wedding guests that stayed there, the place is awesome. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Breakfast is delicious. Happy hour with wine and cheese is awesome. Beds are super comfy. Very close to everything. I recommend this place for out-​of-​town visitors and events.

Our check in was last minute. From the area and went to Hermosa Beach and decided to make it a weekend. Everything was sold out but RBH had one room available. Great price and really felt as if we we were at a resort. Has pool, washer and dryer, jacuzzi and BREAKFAST included! I went home relaxed and rested. Rooms are perfect size. Front staff was sooooo nice !

This was my second stay in this hotel. This time was a quick overnight trip for a birthday celebration. The customer service in the hotel was wonderful. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was just as comfortable as I remember and the amenities in the room were great. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave as we had gone to Lucille’s BBQ before checking in and had leftovers. They offered comfy robes which I relaxed in while watching sunset from the room. The sun deck is a great spot to view the sunset or relax at dusk.
The hotel is located a view blocks from the pier and was an easy walk. It is great that the hotel offers a free breakfast. I always enjoy the waffles but the bacon is subpar.
I stayed in one of the marina view rooms. It was nice but small and there is a bit of road noise but that died down not long after sunset.
Overall, a nice hotel to stay at if you’re visiting the area.

My sisters, mom and nieces stayed here over Mother’s Day weekend, and it was wonderful!

Location-​wise, it’s surrounded by good restaurants and next to the pier. The outdoor patio on the second floor would be an awesome spot for a party or even a wedding.
All the staff were super friendly and although the hotel is only 10 miles from me, I’d definitely stay here again.

I won a free night’s stay at a Pacifica property so my friend and I decided to make it a girls’ staycation. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate and it wasn’t overly warm, but we did enjoy our stay. We were 10 minutes from home but felt a world away. I’m not sure when it opened, but it used to be a Best Western. (I wonder how long it took them to come up with the name – LOL.) The hotel was beautiful and the lobby area was open and well appointed. The staff was friendly and very attentive. I like how they incorporated the beach colors (blues and tans) into the décor, and we had a nice view of the marina. The towels and velour robes were nice quality, the mattresses were very comfortable, and we enjoyed the free breakfast buffet in the lobby: hard-​boiled eggs, Greek and regular yogurt, cereals, fruit, juices, make-​your-​own mini waffles, oatmeal, etc. Parking was $ 11/​day. The set of toiletries was adorable and they brought us extra when we asked. The room was a little small but functional. The only real issue was housekeeping. We found a long dark hair between the sheets of my friend’s bed, another dangling from a washcloth hanging in the bathroom, and yet another wrapped around the cotton balls in the container on the vanity. Plus, the bottom of our tub was dirty, and the leather ottoman had food stains and splatters on the side as if they had cleaned the top but completely ignored the rest. They have a housekeeping supervisor, but it doesn’t appear that this individual is doing his or her job.

Such a great hotel experience. Every detail was on point to the q-​tips in the bathroom to the over sized bath towels. I felt so comfortable I never wanted to leave. The staff was so welcoming and attentive. Every employee was sure to greet me and ask if I needed anything. I stayed in Redondo with my mother for 2 nights for a mother/​daughter getaway and this hotel made it even more special. Also the location is amazing. We walked everywhere and Manhattan beach is just a short drive away. I will definitely stay here again and recommend friends.

The Redondo Beach Hotel exceed my expectations in more ways than one. For starters their beds are by far the most comfortable beds that I have ever encountered at a hotel, my boyfriend kept asking how we could get his bed at home to feel like that. They include continental breakfast in your stay and also offer refreshments and snacks such as cookies, apples and infused water or coffee throughout the entire day in the lobby area. While the property isn’t right on the beach it is just a short walk to Redondo or Hermosa.
We also loved the fact that there is ample parking at the property and it is charged at a fair rate vs a lot of other options we had looked at.
The only down fall to this property is that there is no bar, not a huge deal but if you are looking to throw a few back be sure to stop at the store on your way in or plan for a short walk to any of the nearby bars.
Overall I would say that this is a great hotel for families or couples looking for a relaxing get away.

Loved this hotel. We came here and stayed for three nights from Northern CA for a trip to Universal Studios. We discovered it was far from there but actually this hotel and area made up for our commute to Universal. It’s a very clean new hotel. Hallways smell like new carpeting, everything is new and beds are soooooo comfortable.
Pool is really nice, never crowded and employees were superb. Overall loved the hotel. Area has beautiful beach very close by within walking distance. There is some sort of construction going on near the ocean access, I think as soon as that is done and cleared it will really look great here.
This hotel is only three floors and very quiet, breakfast is good and they have free wifi and parking very reasonable rate for this area. I would never hesitate to come back to this hotel or recommend it to anyone.

Nice clean and modern hotel.
We stayed here recently and was overall pleased with the hotel and special grand opening rate that they were offering.
OVERALL
The hotel is clean and modern. Everything is pretty much new. So not too much to say anything negative here other than the poor TV connection. Other than that, it was good.
ROOMS
The rooms are a bit smaller than what you see online and compared to other hotels that we have stayed at. The rooms have double beds, so please not that they are not queen sized beds. They are comfortable beds! The bathrooms are also really nice and have to say that the shower head pressure is a big PLUS. They also have a wall safe inside the closet, iron board and etc. Also you will find a Keurig machine with coffee, so feel free to bring in extra pods if you need it! There is also a fridge (not too cold) and microwave, so bring popcorn!
VIEW
Our room faced the marina which was nice but there was so much construction taking place that it was hard to enjoy it completely. Our room also did have a patio area so that you could stand outside, but not sit.
BREAKFAST
They had a wonderful continental breakfast that was free. All you can eat and enjoy. They had cold and hot cereal, whole fruit, waffles, yogurt and BACON!!! Lots of juice, milk, coffee and tea, too. OH! The coffee is GOOD. Good strength for «The Coffee Bean.»
LOBBY
The lobby is clean and sort of reminded me of a W Hotel. There is fruit infused water, coffee and tea available in the lobby for guests to enjoy which is nice.
PARKING
Parking seemed ample. There was a lot of traffic due to the construction on the main road and patrons of the Cheesecake Factory from across the street. They had a sign outside to detour non-​hotel guests, but this did not become an issue, even during a busy weekend day.
STAFF
The staff was pleasant. Nothing bad to say as some were still learning the ropes.
TIP: Make sure that your sliding glass door actually locks. Ours did not. Especially if you are on floor 1 or 2. It’s pretty accessible.
TIP 2: There are bikes available out front for you to use. Talk to the front desk as I am not sure if there is a charge or if it’s free.
TIP 3: Go to the second floor. Above the main entrance, you will find a really nice patio where you can enjoy the view during the day or night. There are space heaters out there which look like tiki torches. Nice touch.

I just spent a week at this hotel and found it absolutely perfect. The staff was extremely attentive — the rooms were perfect and brand new — the toiletries and towels were the best ever — and the breakfast was quite good. I would stay here again at a moment’s notice. The price was extremely well suited for the property. I also loved the location as it was only a short walk to the Strand for my morning run. I would highly recommend this place to anyone going to Redondo Beach. It’s not a beach front property nor does it have great views because of the current harbor construction, but what it makes up for in everything else makes those two things quite trivial. It should get 6 stars not 5.

This hotel was recently remodeled. It is an excellent value for the location, being walking distance from the Redondo Beach pier. Don’t expect a lot of amenities. For example, our room did not have a minibar or water glasses though it did have a refrigerator. There is a Whole Foods and Rite Aid within walking distance and several nice restaurants right across the street. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. While there is room service, the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant. It does have a nice fitness room, pool, and hot tub. It’s really a refreshing place to stay when compared to chain hotels. It reminds me a lot of the boutique hotels of San Francisco. If you are staying in Redondo, check it. We will be coming back.
