Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach and Marina

«My friend, her husband, and I booked this hotel to go to a convention in long beach Jan 30^th-​Feb 1^st. About a 30 minute drive to convention center with traffic and me not making us all late! Anyways, spent two nights here. Our room had a balcony, two queen beds, a nice restroom, and was spacious. No microwave but I’m finding that more common in a lot of hotels I have stayed at recently. Does have fridge though! The real perk for me was the bar and bistro. The bartender, Rick, was awesome. It was stormy so between room service and the bar being busy, there was a wait but the atmosphere was so pleasant and Rick took care of all of his customers with great attention! Was very pleased with my meal (I got the hamburger) and dessert (brownie with ice cream.) A great staff they had Sunday night! I almost wish I traveled more to this area so I could return to this hotel.

I’ve been coming to Redondo now for last 6 months on business, usually stay at this hotel 1 – 2 weeks at a time. The service has been second to none. The staff here have been extremely gracious and helpful any time day or nite. One in particular at the front desk, Virginia, can’t say enough good about her. Recently could not get in the whole week due to sell out, was worried I’d have to move mid week, however Virginia made sure as soon as there was a spot, she made sure I got plugged in for the full week. She called and said «no worries! Your not going anywhere!»…sure made my day! the rooms are alway very clean and have never had any issues while staying here… high recommend this place! Great view and location.

Horrible customer service. Had to come here for a conference and would never come back. People are rude and unhelpful. So many better places I have stayed around the world do not come here

This hotel is clean, lobby is awesome. the room has a big tv. Our room was spacious with Good street view, the check in was quick, upon arrival, I asked the receptionist, where I can buy a toothbrush, and she quickly, grabbed a sealed toothbrush for me. I recommend staying in this hotel.

We stayed for the weekend to visit relatives and we were impressed with the décor being elegant because from the outside it doesn’t give justice. Staff nice, rooms roomy and very nice. The bed and sheets were very comfy. Pluses the gym, pool, tennis court and spa are outside with a view of the water. I took a run on the boardwalk along the beach that runs to Manhattan beach. Good restaurants in walking distance. Much better than staying near LAX. 10 minutes walk to the beach. I would stay here again with the family. TV and small bar downstairs. Self parking and valet available.

We booked this hotel at $ 100 a night via Hotwire, which I thought was a surprisingly good deal for something right across from the beach. The lobby is very nice, and the location is phenomenal — other than the power plant across the street. Parking was about $ 24 a night.
As for the room itself, it was definitely very clean and modern with a good TV. There are a few things that make this hotel not quite 4 Stars: the walls are thin, and it was easy to hear neighbors opening/​closing doors. We could hear the conversations and the TV of the guests in the room next door (an adjoining room, with the doors closed.) And our shower didn’t drain well.
All in all, a good choice for location, exceptional value, only a few minor drawbacks.

A hidden gem in redondo beach. Great clean and updated room with a view of the ocean on the club level. Staff and service was excellent — downside is the $ 30 valet fee:

We only stayed for a night, but it was pleasant. The room is spacious, clean and nice in general. Big bathroom with tub.
The bed was comfy and the pillows too. Try to get a marina view, it’s worth waking up to the view of the water.

It’s a nice hotel and walking distance to the pier. I found the rooms spacious and very clean. The valet guys were nice.

Really enjoyed my room, wish I could’ve stayed longer but the rates were pretty high after my first night. It was very spacious, good king bed, 4^th floor (overlooked the condos, beach, tennis courts.), and it did not have a musty/​beach smell. It’s across the street basically from the pier. Lots of little restaurants and coffee shops around. Booked the room for one night midweek on Priceline for $ 112, but you have to pay $ 24 for self parking (or $ 30 for valet.)

I’m very happy with my recent stay at the Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach and Marina for a wedding. While the parking was stupidly expensive ($ 24 a day!) and the room rates were overall higher than what I like to pay for a hotel, it felt like home for a few days.
Our room on the second floor had a balcony and overlooked the ocean. The room itself could have been a dump and the ocean view could have made me happy. But it wasn’t a dump. The room was large and had plenty of room for our large suitcases. The bed was so comfy and we slept really well for a few days. The shower was nice and had some good water pressure. Aside from a glass left from the guests before us, the room was clean.
The hotel had a nice pool on the second floor roof with beautiful views that I wish I spent more time at. The lobby bar was almost cool enough to be a real bar, not just a hotel lobby bar. The gym had really nice, modern equipment, although I felt like a slob on the elliptical watching all of the runners and cyclists whiz by me on the path outside.
Redondo is so health and fitness friendly! They had iced water and lemon iced water in the lobby next to healthy snacks for purchase and a local running map. They also offered bike rentals. Although the day I inquired, they only had cruisers. I’m not sure if they have hybrids normally, but that was a deterrent for me to not rent from them.
Despite what the GPS in my phone said, it was a short walk from the pier and many, many restaurants.
I had a very nice stay and was a little sad when leaving my ocean front view as just a memory.

Great room this hotel has definitely been upgraded recently everything was really nice inside and out also great location depending on your room you can have great ocean views. The staff was really friendly and attentive would definitely stay here again in the future

Very nice employees and hotel! We arrived at 10am after an early flight. I simply asked if I could use the lobby bathroom to freshen up since we knew check-​in wasn’t until 4p, but Amy checked us in right away! She was very pleasant and professional.
We went up to our ocean view king suite and had a gorgeous view of the pier & Pacific. Our room was nicely updated, clean and great atmosphere! We even had a little balcony to go out on to relax.
The bathroom and shower was great. We had a coffee pot in the room, desk, a nice chair & ottoman and there are even reading lights on each side of the bed in the headboard. The ac kicked ass since we keep it cold at 66, but not having a fan for it to be on all the time (who sleeps without a fan at night? Ha), was hard to fall back asleep if you woke up.
All the employees said hi to us no matter where we were in the building. The hotel was nicely updated, lobby was big and pretty. Very contemporary and airy. The gift shop had exactly what you needed and they had a «snack healthy» bar that was a bit &$$… $ 7.00 for a Naked Juice. Thankfully the water in the lobby was always cold so I filled up our water bottles every morning before heading out.
There’s only one complaint my husband and I have is that there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom and the doors aren’t real doors, they are cute, but doesn’t really give the privacy you wish to do your dirty business. We had to turn on the tub faucet for privacy from noises. Gross but true since there wasn’t an exhaust fan and the door is thin.
We did eat at the little restaurant/​bar in the hotel… Meh… My drink was good, hubs flatbread was ok, the pasta salad was good, my grilled cheese was nasty and it was around $ 60, we would go back for drinks, but not food. The atmosphere inside the little bar was nice and airy and relaxing. It was closed for two of the four days we stayed to install a pretty hanging chandelier light, so we would’ve spent more time in it later for drinks, but the option wasn’t there.
The pool is pretty, rooftop, with a jacuzzi. There was also a spa and fitness room with mainly cardio. Self parking is covered in a parking garage and $ 25 per night. We felt our rental car was safe and easy to get in and out of. The elevator from the hotel to the garage was SNAIL SLOW… Needs some work. Lol.
It isn’t technically right on the beach, you have to drive about half mile south to get to Redondo Beach. There were lots of restaurants around and places to eat. There is a Target close and little strip malls if you need anything.
We would stay here again if we headed back to Redondo!

Very nice hotel. Needed a room on short notice while on a business trip. Used Priceline and got the room for $ 109.
Attractive décor, close to the beach, nice rooms and very helpful staff. 12 mins from Manhattan Beach, 7 mins from Torrance, 10 mins from Rancho Palos Palos Verdes. Can’t beat this place.
My only complaint (applies to most Crowne Plazas) is that the towels are average to poor quality. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.

Holy moly, what an amazing hotel. Gorgeous and spacious rooms. Across the street from the Marina and great restaurants, I really liove this place. If you book via Hotwire you can save 50%.

Came in here late night for a quick drink at the lobby bar with my boyfriend– which I guess is it’s own restaurant named «Splash». We ended up just staying for dinner because the service was so spot on
We sat at the bar with Rick and he completely made our night– the food was on point the drinks were on point
We ordered the burger & the seafood kabobs plus a few apps on the side annnnd we finished all of it– so amazing
Bottom line I did not expect this from a hotel restaurant, it’s somewhere that I will continue to come back to and recommend to all my friends– thank you guys

Great hotel just recently renovated. Great Location steps from ocean and many great activities. Marie Elena the concierge is the best to assist with all local tips. Love the roof top pool. Great prices for rooms.
You can have flowers arrive to hotel upon check in or rose petals on bed per request with help from Marie Elena which makes it just more special to celebrate a romantic get away or to celebrate someone you loves birthday as a surprise. Been to a few wedding here– great large call room.

I had a great stay here this past weekend.
We booked online with a AAA discount for $ 105 per night with a total of about $ 115 after taxes and fees. However, add on parking which is $ 23 or valet service for $ 30 and you’re looking at a stay closer to $ 150. Personally, I thought this wasn’t a bad deal given that it was in the right location, service was great, and the rooms were spacious and comfy.
First off, we wanted a late check-​in (2:00 a.m.) and a late check-​out (2:00 p.m.) both of which were easily accommodated at no additional charge.
The service we got was great. I don’t recall his name but the man who checked us in was absolutely fabulous. He got us in and out super quick while still answering all the questions.

I’d definately stay here again.

This was the hotel I choose for myself and my guests. Jan Lemon gave us a great group rate! The hotel was recently renovated and the rooms are clean with a nice contemporary feel. The staff were all friendly and helpful!
If you’re a bride know that there is a gift bag handling fee of up to $ 3.00 per bag! I didn’t relaize this when I booked the group. They did give me a discount though because we filled up our entire block. Also the night of our wedding a group of us headed to the suite we booked and security came up and broke up our gathering almost immediately, they weren’t nice or understanding about the fact that it was our wedding night. That irritated me a little when you pay so much for your room and they’re not even friendly. But that is really my only complaint.
The location is perfect, the hotel was convenient and overall we had a great time! The bar Splash was awesome, the bar tender kept it opened a little later for all us to get drinks after our wedding! They were awesome!!!

The location is great. Across the street is a parking lot and restaurants, but beyond that is the ocean. The Redondo Beach pier is okay. It’s mostly a tourist trap with shops selling sun glasses and tshirts. If you head in the other direction you’ll get to Hermosa Beach, beyond that Manhattan beach which are nicer beaches.
Pros: It is a nice hotel. They are gutted out all the rooms, one section of the floor at a time, for serious remodeling, which they needed. The newer rooms have a more modern feel with gray and blue décor. The lobby is nice but the layout isn’t very inviting. They have a swimming pool and tennis courts. The gym next door that was free for hotel guests – is now gone :-(
Cons: parking in their garage is $ 23. No microwave in the room. They have a mini fridge but not a microwave. Do they expect their guests to eat meals cold? Another big con– WI-​FI IS NOT FREE – GRRRR! $ 4.95 for four hours of wi-​fi. ARGH.
