I don’t leave many reviews here on Unilocal,so when I do, you better believe it’s for good reason. Jacob helped my girlfriend and I tonight. and drove all the way to Burbank to do so. When he arrived, he was very much ready to get working and seemed no nonsense. He performed a long and extremely thorough check on the car in question (a used Isuzu Rodeo my girlfriend was checking out to buy), and was extremely knowledgable. When the check was complete, he test drove the car and then talked with us for a while about what needed to be done. He was extremely friendly, polite and a true pleasure to deal with. His service cost us in the $ 135 range and was absolutely worth every penny, if not more. I would absolutely recommend this service — Jacob specifically — without any hesitation whatsoever.

I was very impressed with Jacob and SoCal Car Check. I bought a used car from a private seller and needed to make sure I wasn’t getting a lemon, especially since I don’t know much about cars. Jacob was able to visit the car that same day, did a very thorough inspection at the seller’s house, emailed me a report and then called to explain everything he had done and observed. He even checked-​in a week later to make sure I had had a good experience.
Overall, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I highly recommend this service if you are looking to purchase a used car! Jacob went WAY out of his way to move his schedule around to check cars for me late on a weeknight and early on the weekend, driving as far as Reseda and Inglewood, and did so with a super friendly and helpful attitude and provided really comprehensive car checks at a super fair price. A+++

This is a great service. We had them check a 2004 Passat and learned that there was structural damage from an accident and oil pan leaks. Saved me a bunch of money. I am really glad I had the car checked out before buying, and would use them again!
