Went to Ron Ross motors last Friday to look at a car for my son. It was a 2002 BMW 530i All I can say is the car was BEAUTIFUL, It was reasonably priced. Beatrice was an absolute pleasure to deal with, very professional and even knocked a few more dollars off her asking price of the car!

After leaving a shady dealer in Pasadena i ran into Ron and purchased a vehicle i am happy with and a much lower cost than the competition. The price i paid was great and the car still had under 100k miles, Im happy with my convertible! You gave me a very merry christmas

Since purchasing our used BMW from RonRoss five months ago, these are the issues we’ve experienced.
–Day of purchase the convertible top wouldn’t close or open properly. The owners kept it over night and fixed it.
–Day of driving the car off the RonRoss lot and driving back to Woodland Hills, the check engine light came on.
–The next day, the check coolant warning came on and the car overheated while driving.
–One of the owner’s Beatrice, had complete attitude on the phone with us, playing word games, just unnecessary unprofessional behavior after purchasing a vehicle in cash from them days earlier.
–The owners towed the car back to Redondo Beach to fix it.
–I drove back down there to pick it up. The owners assured us the car was fully fixed and inspected and everything was good to go.
–Since then, I have had a few normal maintenance things pop up. Nothing not common when taking care of a used vehicle…
–Until last night… when I got a flat tire in Hollywood at 11pm and went to take the spare out of the trunk to change the flat and there was a metal shard the size of a key in the spare tire…$ 270 dollars later, I had it towed back to my house in Woodland Hills where today I am paying $ 60 more dollars to have it towed to a tire shop where I then will pay $?? for a new spare tire and $?? to fix my flat.
RonRoss Motors claim to thoroughly inspect what they sell because they take pride in their vehicles. They sold me a BMW where so much was overlooked and such unprofessional attitude was given I will never return to RonRoss to buy a vehicle and do not recommend going to RonRoss to anyone else!!!

Ronni helped me find the car of my dreams. He educated me on the pros and cons of the car. I feel that he is honest and gave me the best deal I could find. I was searching for this car for months the right color and right price, I’m extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend them.

Beatrice, I test drove the car once for a couple of blocks, and then to/​from the mechanic, please don’t twist facts.
And yes, I had it inspected. That shouldn’t be something that you bring up to attack, or to paint your clients as difficult. You had to change the brakes and rotors because they were warped and worn down, and would not have been safe to drive on (This I found out by having the car inspected, of course).
The brake fix was not free, but was negotiated into the sales price as necessary maintenance, and I was haggled on the quality of the parts used. Please do not make it seem like you did me a kindly favour. It was negotiated over at length and agreed upon as a necessity.
You sold me the car «as is», so you had no legal liability at that point. Given how much grief I got for asking to have the brakes fixed (which was a basic safety concern), I would be shocked if you had then gone back after the fact and helped me with further issues out of the goodness of your hearts, free of charge, had I called as you recommend… That’s a really facile argument that I’ve seen you use with other dissatisfied buyers. It looks nice in an impassioned rebuttal, but it doesn’t hold up to scrutiny.
Other customers should be aware that when I purchased a car at your dealership, I ended up with EXTENSIVE mechanical issues within half a year of driving it off the lot. None of that is lies, or slander as you are implying. I am not «defaming your characters without bias.» These are facts — a car you sold me less than half a year ago has run up over $ 2000 in repairs (well over 25% of the sales price) and has another several thousand more on the horizon thanks to the tranny & suspension breaking down. I would be happy to submit receipts to anyone who doubts it and let them judge whether that’s normal and reasonable within half a year of ownership.
How dare you attack a customer when you’ve already taken advantage of them?
Either you truly have no compassion, and this is intentional, or you didn’t know, which just means that you’re careless with your inventory and happy to sell cars you know nothing about to people who don’t know better. The same goes for the tickets — it’s your responsibility as sellers to make sure that the title is clear of legal and financial liens. Once again, either you’re willing to knowingly pass these issues on to customers, or you’re not bothered to check. Either way, it’s not great.
Again, this isn’t a baseless insult or slander, this is a fact. There is literally NO incentive for me to write a bad review other than to warn other potential customers. I don’t get anything back by writing this. I will never get the thousands back that I have sunk into this car.
I don’t care about hurt feelings — honestly, it just wouldn’t matter enough to me to take my time to write this if that was my intent. I am only trying to help someone else avoid being caught in the same situation.
Also, now that I’ve had time to look over this page more closely, I would also draw attention to how many more reviews on average low-​raters have vs. the mostly brand-​new users writing raves… Draw your own conclusions there, I guess .
To potential buyers: Save your money, and go to a more reputable dealer even if it costs you more up front. Trust me, it will save you in the long run.

I was taken care of extremely well during the whole payment process. I wanted to trade in my Grand Cherokee Jeep for a 1998 323i BMW convertible. The BMW was in great condition. Ronnie was very fair in his trade value for my Jeep as a cash/​trade sale. Thank you both of you for being so kind and efficient and helping a girl make her dream come true! The car is a beauty and rides well. I’ve owned it for 6 mos now and it runs well.
During my 1^st oil change a few months ago, I called Ronnie to make sure I was choosing the correct oil and he was very helpful. The good customer service continues :)

Here was my experience… I found the exact car I wanted for a price that was slightly below Kelly blue book. They took off another $ 300 when I asked them to. The car was very clean and had a fresh oil change. Then when I had to wait two weeks for my cash to be available, Beatrice set up a reasonable payment plan so I could secure the car.
Shortly after getting the car, a service light went off. I called Ronnie about it. He knew what it might be and didn’t hesitate to tell me to bring it in. That he would fix it, no charge. He did.
I understand the risk of buying a used car, so I’m very grateful for the service! Ronnie and Beatrice have been great!

I went to Ron Ross Motors after finding the vehicle I was interested in on Car Gurus. I emailed the dealership (via the app) and Ron Ross Motors got back to me promptly. I made plans to see the car over the weekend since Redondo Beach is too far to go after work.
Overall I have to admit that this was one of the better car buying experiences I have had. I’ve almost always purchased new vehicles and would spend hours at the dealership negotiating on price and working out the details of financing. This process was a little different for me as I was looking to pay for the car outright. Paying cash for a car will always go quicker, but the team at Ron Ross Motors made the experience pleasant. Yes, pleasant.
I arrived at 10 AM on Saturday morning and was greeted by Ronnie. He quickly moved the car I was interested in out, made a copy of my license and then let me take if for a spin. I was on the road within 15 minutes of arriving. When I got back to the lot I was still interested in the car and was happy that he was willing to negotiate with me. We landed on a price that I felt was fair, shook hands and then I went into the office with Beatrice who finalized the deal. There were no surprises when closing out the deal and everything was pretty standard. I did have to pay 2% to use my credit card, but I get points on my card so that didn’t bother me too much. I was driving off the lot within an hour of arriving with a new (used) car!
This is a great spot to go if you’re looking for a good car. They have a limited, but nice looking inventory and seem to take excellent care of the vehicles on their lot.

Save your breath with the «caring reply» Beatriz. I find the reply from «Ron Ross» to be equally as laughable as the business practice. Oh please «I should have brought my car in»?! Ok so you seem to have forgotten that DAY 2 we were in your lot because the lights were already messing up. Then it was the windows, then it was overheating, then there was clouds of white smoke when the car started. THEN THE CAR WOULDN’T START. My mom and I spent countless hours hassling with you and your husband, only to find out from other mechanics that the car was so fucked up that it was nearly irreparable. I took it to my mechanic and he told me there was such a big crack in the heads gasket (which anyone that knows BMWS knows that repairing that is just as expensive as a new one) that my mechanic actually recommended junking it. The BEST PART OF THE STORY is that the mechanic bought the car from us and was not able to fix it for about a year, and these guys fix ANYTHING. Even last time I visited my guys they told me how much of a nightmare the car was. Also, I guess that Ron is a little upset that I let people know this — since he has flipped me off a few times when I’ve driven by, which makes me laugh but ultimately it’s not cool. I know what stellar customer service is — and this is far from it. Being friendly is not the extent of it — as most crooks smile in your face while they reach into your pocket. I read what Jennifer L. wrote in August — I find humor in the fact that she stated «Ronnie» was a master mechanic, and then in the same exact paragraph says that he made a repair on something her husband asked about. Why wasn’t it taken care of before the car was up for sale? So odd. Anyways, I could go on all day about this but I’d simply like my fellow Unilocalers to look at my reviews and see that my main focus is honesty in my reviews — I don’t look to scathe any businesses over a minor little issue like «oh my fries were cold» or «I had to wait in line at a car rental spot» but I DO think that if a business is exhibiting questionable practice (and a business whose customers put A LOT of money into) that others should be aware. ALSO I would like it to be known that I did in fact contact and take the car in numerous times, so the reply simply was to attempt to save face. Didn’t work. Plus I’m glad that I got a message from another Unilocaler letting me know that he almost bought a car from here but after reading my review and also meeting another RB resident who had an equally as horrible experience with them, decided to take his money elsewhere.

I purchased a car here and immediately had issues. I ultimately paid $ 1,200.00 to have the catalytic convertor fixed; this is an issue they reluctantly addressed on one occasion. However their repair seemed to be a half-​hearted effort and did not resolve the issue. Upon bringing the matter to their attention a second time, they declined to provide further assistance. I felt there was a lack of personal responsibility, proper customer service, and based on that I recommend you go elsewhere.
If you bought a car from a car dealer and a few days later found out it had a catalytic problem (requiring an OEM part-​expensive) and that it was fixed but later was told by a mechanic that the problem was concealed by adding a third catalytic. How would you feel? If you want to know I would recommend coming here.

Why post a review 2 years after buying a used car from Ron Ross Motors? Because in the two years I have had my BMW e36, all I have to do is regular oil changes, the recommended BMW maintenance, and gas!
Ron is some kind of wizard when it comes to finding cars like mine. I would recommend Ron Ross Motors to anyone looking for a great used car.

Beatrice is just terrific. She helped with everything. They provided me with a beautiful vehicle, worked with us to handle financing or, as it turned out, no financing after all that effort was put forth. Beatrice never complained, actually, she was the opposite of complaining. She was helpful and pleasant for the whole process.
The plan is to buy the next car from Ron Ross next go around. I don’t even have to think about that… What else needs to be said?

Hands down, the BEST car buying experience ever! Ronnie and Beatrice are honest and fair. We have credit problems and didn’t think we’d get a loan. Beatrice got us financed with a second chance lender and she made sure we understood and were okay with putting down a larger down payment and paying a higher interest rate. She didn’t make us feel embarrassed about having past credit issues.
Ronnie is a Master mechanic and verified that the car we picked out was running well and he even made a repair on something my husband asked about – we were just asking so we’d know how much to budget for future repairs, we didn’t expect him to fix it. We were so surprised when we found out. THAT is real customer service! Because he knows so much about the types of imported luxury cars they sell, he said if we have future questions or need recommendations of where to get it fixed, to give him a call.
Their cars come from auctions and all their vehicles are clean, high end, clean title, nice looking and run well. They don’t mark them up much so you don’t have to try to haggle much. They’ll tell you up front what you can buy it for so there’s no surprises. We did a lot of research on the vehicle we picked out – a sleek, black, Mercedes SUV, and the others we found in the same price point were 1 – 2 model years older with 50−75K MORE miles than what we got. We have ZERO buyer’s remorse and have already recommended them to some friends.
We will absolutely buy our next car here; no comparison shopping necessary. We just can’t say enough about them. Thank you, Ronnie and Beatrice.

I bought an Audi A4 for my son there for about $ 4900.00 I have spent $ 3000 so far (in 6 months) and am being advised to get rid of it asap as there are several other leaks and its riddled with problems. Need I say more?

I contacted Beatrice via email, expressing interest in a older (or classic/​collector as I would call it) car that I had been hunting for a while. She was always quick to respond, gave me the details I asked for, which eventually led me to head down to the lot to check it out.
At the lot, I spoke with Ron, who initially seemed nonchalant and intimidating. But if you can get past the big glowering mustache, he’s actually a nice fella! I asked plenty of questions, checked the car out, drove it for a bit, then sat down to negotiate the price. All this time, there was no upselling/​hardselling from either Ron or Beatrice who showed up later. They just let you do your thing until you’re ready and sure. They were willing to come down on the price a bit, walk us through the paperwork, and file the paperwork for us. All we did was drive the car off the lot!
Unfortunately, the car ran into a variety of issues shortly after, and I took it back to them to troubleshoot. Ron changed my brakes at no labor cost, and they decided to take the car to a shop while letting me drive their loaner. Unfortunately the warranty company refused to cover the work, but Ron and Beatrice were very understanding and definitely all about customer satisfaction, resulting in them bearing most of the cost of the repairs. The entire time, Beatrice always kept me updated on the car’s status, and was willing to explore various options for the best result.
All in all, this was not the smoothest transaction that I’d made, but things like that do happen particularly with old, and even with new cars. Most dealerships would leave you on your own once you’ve driven the car off the lot, or snaked around paperwork, fine print, and signatures to distant their involvement in your troubles. RonRoss is not one of those places, and I’m glad that I now have a sexy car to zip around with.

Before I went to check out a BMW wagon, I wanted to read this place’s Unilocal reviews. Honestly, there are going to be a lot of both good and bad experiences. Especially when buying a used car.
I went to look at a 2003 BMW 525 Touring wagon with about 98,000 miles on it a week ago. I did my research on the cars, learning about known issues, and maintenance routines. Before I could ask about them, Ron had already addressed the major issues, such as the valve cover leaks, and various other oil leaks. Everything on the car was immaculate (as it could be for a nearly 11 year old car). I drove it, and it performed as well as expected, so I decided to buy it. The purchasing process was simple, and both Ron and Beatrice were very easy to negotiate with. They didn’t put me over a barrel, and I feel that I paid a fair price for the car.
Sure, there are some things that need to be fixed, but again: It’s a used car. They do offer warranties, and solutions for their buyers. Which is astounding for such a small lot. When they say they aim for customer satisfaction over all, I think they mean it. I’ve bought a lot of used cars, and they’ve gone above and beyond what most car lots would do, and without all of the high pressure sales pitches.
Lastly, before I left I asked them about what I/​we could do if any catastrophic problem with the car were to occur (since I had seen some instances of that here on Unilocal) and Beatrice simply said to give them a call, and they would do their best to at the very least help find a suitable solution. But I didn’t have any worries about it since I brought my mechanic with me, and confirmed that all of the work Ron stated was done was indeed done. Hell, I even saw him working on a car to get it ready for sale!
I have been driving the car to work and school for the past week, and I absolutely love it. Does Ron Ross Motors do their very best to make sure their cars are in good working condition? Absolutely.

Don’t do it. Don’t waste your money or your time. Just don’t. I got screwed hardcore.
