Established in 2012.

Started by law enforcement officers in 1991 in Layafette LA, Pop-​A-​Lock has become a household name in the Southern part of the US and has expanded from Coast to Coast. Pop-​A-​Lock established its first offices in Southern California in 2006 in Riverside and has since expanded its services offerings into San Bernardino County, Orange County, San Diego County, and Los Angeles County. You’ll see our brightly marked vehicles in all parts of Southern California, providing service wherever you are.

Got locked out of my car and lost my only set of keys. I called Pop-​a-​Lock and immediately got a quote after telling them what kind of car I had. Compared to other locksmiths I called they were by far the MOST AFFORDABLE. I’m so glad Craig responded to my call. He was very courteous and very friendly. When he was actually onsite he was fast and efficient I felt I could trust his workmanship and business. If you ever need outstanding service to fix your car door lock, this is the place to call. If you can, ask for Curtis #17, he is the greatest– he is super fast, professional, and is the nicest guy. He helps make a stressful situation much more bearable– you can’t ask for more. There should be clones of him :)

Craig at Pop-​a-​Lock was AMAZING. I was out of state and my teenager was locked out of the house. I texted Craig a photo of my key and he immediately made a perfect key for a minuscule $ 10. He even offered to come over to make sure that the key works. Craig was so professional and a life savior.
This was right after the nightmare I had with Art at PCH Lock and Key. Art made a key that did NOT work. Then Art REFUSED to make another key or refund the money. Art also ACCUSED me of sending him a photo of the wrong key and of lying. My teenager was in tears after she tried to open the door to the house for hours with the bogus key that Art made unsuccessfully. You could not imagine the horror that we had to go through in dealing with Art.

My insurance referred me to Pop-​a-​lock. I had left my keys inside of my car, right outside of my garage. I felt silly calling for assistance but it happens. No shame. haha! They arrived faster than expected and my technician, Alfredo, was very friendly and fast. I especially appreciated that he checked that my keys were in fact, left inside of my car, exactly where I reported they were at. It gave me piece of mind.
Highly recommend them!

Thank god it was Pop-​A-​Lock who responded to my problem… My baby and I were stuck– I locked my car and house keys in the trunk. The technician who came, Alfredo went sooo far above and beyond what he had to do. The latch release inside my car doesn’t work unless the car is on. The release to pull down the back seats… is in the trunk. Alfredo spent SO long helping me and eventually we got it open by completely unscrewing my back seats! I’m so appreciative that he worked so hard to get me into my car and in turn, my house! These guys work so hard. Don’t forget to tip them!

I would like to say the service was fast and efficient. they said it might take 30 min for the truck to arrive pop a lock beat that by 15min … so with that being said it was a smooth job… my VDay started off bad at 1st with my keys locked in my car but Curtis of pop a lock west LA took care of me 1st he was 15min early but it took him no time to get the door open… he is 1 of the fastest lock poppers around… thankyou Curtis you save my Valentines Day

I wrote a tip yesterday because I was sooo Happy, I just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I am with Pop-​A-​Lock of South Bay and the locksmith man they sent too me. I would highly recommend Craig’s work, his knowledge about the business and his professionalism to any and everyone that has the need of a Locksmith

When it comes to locksmiths they can run many games on you to make extra money and they have a reputation of being SHADY so you really have to think about the company you hire to make your keys. There are soooo many questions like will they make keys for themselves or give keys to friends, your mind goes a bit Krazy thinking of all the things they could do with your keys.
Having one’s keys or cell phone is like being in control of them to a certain degree and you certainly have to be careful with both of those items.
The first thing I did was go to Unilocal and started reading reviews and went back to Pop-​a-​Lock and called them.
NO SHADY business here, there was a live person that answered the phone and she asked me questions about the services I needed and said that a locksmith would get back too me with pricing within 30 minutes.
Craig called me back within that time and quoted prices for my locksmith needs and once he completed the work he gave me an invoice that reflect the prices he had given me over the phone (very, very professional) I HATE it when a service person comes out to your home and once the job is completed they pick prices out of the air.
I knew when Craig quoted the pricing over the phone that I had made the right decision, NO REGRETS, my hubby and I were very pleased with the service, I totally understand how this company earned it’s 100 FIVE star reviews I would rate them 10 stars for the work and friendly professional service that Craig provided.
I would suggest to LOOK NO FARTHER when you need a locksmith company, Pop-​a-​Lock is the place to hire.

I did the completely idiotic thing today, which was to lock my self out of the car! Left the keys in the Bonnet! Gave Audi Roadside Assistance a called! They sent me Pop a lock! Tyrone came and promptly unlocked the door for me! He went above and beyond to help me to manually open the car bonnet! I’m impress with the service. For those who had to wait or the technician had exceeded his/​her eta, you must understand that LA traffic is brutal. Even on the weekends, the freeway are jam all the time. Try to remember that eta is just an estimate, things goes wrong on the job all the time, door could be more difficult to unblock etc.

Last week I was locked out of my car moving a little two fast. I contacted my insurance company who got in contact with Pop-​A-​Lock. About 20 minutes later Tyrone came to assist me with. It took him no more than 2 minutes to unlock my door. He was very professional and even offered to put air in my back tire after noticing it was low.
