Best churros ever! The guy that works here is a really nice hardworking man, been going here since I was a kid and now I take my kids here :)

Anyone that rates this place lower than 5 stars is crazy! They are truly the best churros EVER. Fresh, warm, crispy, perfect amount of sweetness, and the perfect size! So delicious.

My brother told me that our family friend had told him about awesome churros at Redondo Beach, which were located «next to the seafood place». Without actually giving me the name of the establishment. Ok… great. The Redondo Beach Pier is filled with seafood places and places that sell churros. :P
So when I got there, I was trying to guess which one was the one that our family friend was raving about. I saw tons of people walking around on Sunday afternoon, munching on churros. But which one was THE ONE?
I saw a seafood place in the middle of the pier that looked like it might be the one my brother was referring to. But then I didn’t see any churro place next to it. Hmm… was it the ice cream place across the way?
Finally, I took a look at Unilocal (haha) to find which places had the highest churro ratings and found Pier Bakery. Looking at the directory led me to the section with El Torito. Hmm… but I didn’t see no Pier Bakery there!
Was just about to give up when I finally found it BEHIND the stairs! You can’t even see it when standing in the middle of the pier. :(
So folks, go behind the stairs to find this churro place. It’s to the left of the seafood place when you are looking at it head-​on.
$ 2.50 gives you a big, long churro, hot and fresh and tasty. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. I just enjoyed it without the dipping sauce, but those looked pretty decadent, too.

I am crazy about these churros!
I first encountered these glorious churros, one summer afternoon at Redondo Beach pier. I was actually going to the gelato place next door, but the fresh churros being taken out of the oven caught my eye, and I was lured over to the window. It was as if I was in one of those cartoons when there is food out and the cartoon character smells it and floats towards the source of such a delightful aroma. I seriously imagined that’s exactly what happened.
I almost immediately ordered a churro and a side of caramel and could hardly wait to be handed my churro. When the magnificent moment came to be, I was out of my mind ballistic as soon as I took a huge bite after dipping into the caramel. (EEE-​GAAAD THAT COMBINATION WAS PERFECT!) I very happily ate my churro, in that moment I had no care or worries, nothing else mattered, it was me and my churro, until… Death do us part? Until I had my last bite :(
I cannot wait until my next visit to Redondo beach pier. I kid you not, these churros are out of this world. The texture is perfect, there is no better churro out there. Please do yourself a big huge favor and stop by and try for yourself.

The churros here are vegan. The lady making the churro confirmed that they do not use eggs, milk, butter or other animal products.

I’ve been coming to the Redondo pier since I was a kid, but just recently tried this bakery. The churros are fresh and delicious, its a nice treat after stuffing yourself with all the delicious seafood on the pier.

This is probably the best churros I’ve ever had! The churros are fluffy and warm inside and you get a nice crunch with every bite. If you’ve only had churros at theme parks or frozen, you are missing out!
You can buy a churro for $ 2.5 or 3 for $ 6. And the best part is the strawberry and caramel syrup they sell for .50. If the churros isn’t enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, there’s a Gelato place right next door.
They have another churro shop that’s near quality seafood that isn’t as busy.

The best churros I’ve ever had! Far and away. Spend the $ 6 and get three. They’ll be gone before you know it. The only thing is I wish they served ice cream as well. I’d have loved to have a scoop to accompany the churro madness lol. There’s plenty of other desert places around you could probably get a scoop from. Easy 5 stars.

YUMMY! I’ve come here a few times, and the churros are always so fresh and delicious! A lot of times, we are at the pier to eat some seafood so a churro from Pier is the perfect way to finish off such a savory meal. It’s really crunchy on the outside but the perfect texture and cheweyness on the inside and always warm! I don’t really get the dipping sauces because I love the sweetness as is. Sometimes my boyfriend and I will go bike riding on the beach on the weekends and this is the perfect snack!

The churros are always warm and delicious and the service is great. What more can you ask for!

These are BY FAR the best churros I’ve ever had. Always served fresh, they are warm and gooey on the inside, perfectly sugared with cinnamon on the crisp outside. I’ve been coming here for about 15 years and they are consistently delicious.

These churros are perfection. Crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. The best part of the experience is the man who works there. Seriously, very nice man! What a great experience.

Hands down the best churros you’ll ever eat! Forget those crappy Disneyland churros– these are out of this world! Warm, crispy on the outside and moist and chewy on the inside… omg. Service is always super friendly too!

FRESH HOTT CHURROS
Wanted some dessert after eating some fresh seafood on the pier and this little hidden shop we found churros.
Right under the stairs it is hidden and just a small little shop that produces churros. They had a deal of 3 churros for $ 6 or each churro at $ 2.50 if i remember correctly. Our churros were nice and hot but could have used a little more cinnamon on them.
THIS PLACE ONLY TAKES CASH just to let you know ahead of time.
They serve everything through a little window so there is no seating but you HONESTLY don’t need a chair and table for churros ahahha
You could also see them make everything since it’s a glass window and everything inside look very tidy and clean.

Not open on a Wednesday at 4. And no posted hours anywhere on the store. So your open when ever you feel like it? Bad way to do business IMO.
But since I know this is just my churro disappointment speaking… 3 stars for decent pricing and looking so good in pictures! TT_​TT

Great churros! So fresh and just what we wanted. We got the three for $ 6 plus the caramel sauce and the strawberry sauce. I loved the caramel sauce but was not a fan of the strawberry. However, my friends enjoyed the strawberry one more.
The churro itself was just made and it was very warm (on a cold day) and the perfect amount of crunch. Not too crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside.

When you only serve one thing, you better do it right! And let me tell you, Pier Bakery does CHURROS right!
The churros come warm and delicious. They are just the right amount of crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. All that with the perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar coating.
I want some right now just thinking about them. If you’re at the Redondo Beach Pier, you must pick up a churro (or three) from Pier Bakery.

I can’t believe how few reviews there are on this place… Then again, I can’t believe its taken me THIS long to review Pier Bakery. I’ve been coming here for churros FOREVER. Any time I go to the pier I stop by to grab a churro. So good! And the guys (and gals) who work there are always very friendly. Its just a little walk up window, no frills. Lucky for them, I prefer my churros sans-​frills.
Man… Just typing this has made me hungry for a churro. Cannot wait to go back!

Everyone is right, the churros here are tender, crunchy, fresh, flavorful, hot, a little greasy (normal), and smell really good. I had one with NO SUGAR … oh stop, I don’t eat sugar on anything, and if I did it would taste awful.
Will never have another because it’s not my thing. And they raised prices by $ 1 to pay for renovations, I guess. Or the pier leasing raised their rent after all the renovations.
Be careful Redondo Beach shops and businesses … you want the people to come back, don’t punish them for doing so.
