History

Established in 2013.

While our location opened to the public in 2013, the Pedego brand was conceived in 2007 to create a line of electric bikes that combine style and function to open up cycling to anyone who might otherwise not be getting the benefits from bike riding. Many people would like to ride a bike, but find it impractical or impossible because of hills, distance, health reasons, knee problems, aging or the inconvenience of having to shower and change at work. Pedego electric bikes make biking much more accessible to the 98% of the population who aren’t currently cyclists.

After selling their laundromat business, shop owners, Kenny and Sue Kim are venturing out to offer their enthusiasm and excitement in Pedego electric bikes to local residents and tourists. They decided to open their Redondo Beach dealership soon after their initial Pedego e-​bike rental experience. They said it was so much fun and hope that same excitement will catch on with customers.
