History

Established in 1982.

John considered an offer to tour with the Beach Boys, he elected to continue working on his own and with his band, as well as direct the non-​profit, Fantasia Family Music he began in 1999. Reaching over 1,000 children and their families annually through schools, camps and workshops, his children’s programs, educational products and CD’s have won numerous awards over the past decade. Fantasia is also a third year LA County’s Arts Education Partnership Program grantee for its youth musical theatre programs, and has received consecutively grant awards from the California Arts Council in conjunction with the National Endowment for the Arts, for its work in the public schools.

Business Owner

John Brown, owner and president of John Brown Entertainment is an accomplished vocalist, guitar player, song writer/​arranger, and leader of the John Brown Band. He performs perennially for many annual events, some as large as 15,000 in attendance in formats from soloist to twelve-​piece with repertoires ranging from big band, R&B, rock, and easy listening to adult contemporary and original music. He has been currently appearing as an acoustic soloist performing at Tony’s on the Pier, The Montage and Ritz Carlton in Laguna Beach and the Rolling Hills Country Club in Rolling Hills Estates. Although John considered an offer to tour with the Beach Boys, he elected to continue working on his own and with his band, as well as direct the non-​profit, Fantasia Family Music he began in 1999. He is also known in the community for his work as worship leader and contemporary music director for St. Andrew’s Church and the music teacher for Riviera Hall Lutheran School in Redondo Beach.
