First Look Sonogram

Krystal is amazing at getting the baby to take pictures! Great people there. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

I just had my sonogram done today at 14 weeks and 5 days. Before purchasing the plan, they explained to me what to expect at this stage if I were to buy the 4D plan. We didn’t mind if we didn’t see much even in 4D because my husband wanted to know the gender mostly, but wanted to show his mother who was visiting from another country what the baby looks like in 4D image as an experience. We were pleased with how patient and detailed they were. When we first tried doing the ultrasound, my baby was in a ball, so they gave me another chance by giving us water and lollipops to put the baby in a better position for the sonogram. The second time around, we were able to see the baby. We appreciate the high quality service they provided. I was really impressed with the viewing room. It was very comfortable and my family really enjoyed seeing the baby’s gender in that setting and not in a hospital setting. We are having a girl!!! Thank you for making this an amazing experience for us!!! By the way, you can see the ocean from this location. It was a great experience to walk down the beach after our appointment and enjoy our great news

We had a great experience! The environment was cozy and inviting. The ultrasound area was very comfortable, much nicer than the sterile environment of a doctors office! So much fun being able to see our baby and find out the gender on a big screen tv. They were able to tell us our babies gender at 14.5 weeks. I was very impressed!
We did have to wait a little while past our appointment time before we were seen but it was worth the wait and they were just making sure the family before us got a good scan. I wish we would have come here when I was pregnant with our older son. Would highly recommend

Went at 14 weeks with my daughter and my son for the past 2 years to find out gender they were right both times and I went back for 3d ultrasound of their faces at 30 weeks or so. a great experience. .thank you

This place is amazing!!! I was so happy with the service and the pictures. The people that work there are also very friendly. I absolutely loved my experience here. I will be back at 30 weeks to do a 3D ultrasound. I would also recommend them to my friends who are pregnant as well.

Such a great improvement with the new owner! If this was a year and a half ago it would’ve been a bad review. Since the new owner took over I’ve bought 3 gift certificates for my cousin and 2 friends and each visit was beyond exceptional! Everyone is welcoming and actually happy to do their job. It’s bright and cheerful inside, and it’s such a beautiful setting to bring your family and friends to see a glimpse of your baby!

Omg! Krystal is an amazing tech! I went with my friend to go get her sonogram and the service here is amazing so friendly and professional. The pictures came out so clear and my friend is totally happy with her whole experience. I highly recommend this establishment for all the moms out there.

Everything about this place is a must!!! I could write an essay about everything I loved about them… they even record your babies heartbeat and put it in a teddie bear!!! A must do family experience!!!

For my sisters first pregnancy I wanted to suprise her with an experience she could share with her husband, who is in the military and unable to be there for that special time. I was recommended first look sonogram from a friend and despite the fact that i live in west Hollywood and its a bit of a trek, she assured me it was worth it.
The experience was remarkable from start to finish, the owners took great care and were professional and easy to talk to, the place was immaculate while still being cozy. We left with a keepsake we will cherish for the rest of our lives and upon her husband seeing the video he was overcome with emotion! We’re already planning our next visit!!! Go see them, you will not regret it!

This is one time I’ve seen a business truly redeem themselves from a bad experience. I was surprised to get a phone call a few weeks ago from the owner, explaining that he had a new technician and would like to make up for our bad experience with the last one.
We went back today and had a great experience. The technician was very friendly, helpful and respectful and welcomed any questions we had. On top of that, she was VERY good at what she does… She gave us better images than we’ve had from our USC doctor’s 4D and the other private 3D/​4D business we went to.
The owner was very open, honest and apologetic for our bad experience and I could tell he meant it. I respected that very much. He obviously cares about his customers. It was a great experience overall, they definitely deserve the 5 stars and we would highly recommend them!

I’ve been here 4 times now and it’s a great beach city area you can see the water from the front door literally. The staff is great and the ultra sound techs are very knowledgeable. If for any reason I need to come back for a 3^rd kid this is where I’ll be

I don’t want to say the wrong name (Kristal) but this girl helps you with the ultrasound she’s AMAZING!!! She has patient with the baby and talks to the baby to make the baby move… I honestly will come back later on for my 3D ultrasound…

So sad. This was such an amazing experience with our first pregnancy. Unfortunately when we came in for our 2^nd baby’s ultrasound the owners and management had changed. What used to be a warm, welcoming, beautiful experience, has now turned into a money driven cattle call! When reading these reviews, please remember that the positive reviews prior to March 2015 were meant for the wonderful previous owner and his amazing tech. I would never recommend coming here since the new owners have taken this place over. This should be such a special and positive experience seeing your baby. I would go elsewhere.

I first came here 7 years ago when pregnant with my first child for a 4D ultrasound. I was happy with the service back then so when I found out I was pregnant again I was excited to be able to come back to the same place. This time I did the gender determination and was beyond excited to be able to find out what I was having weeks before my doctor scheduled my ultrasound. Will be back again for a 4D ultrasound later in the pregnancy. I love the big room they have so you can bring in family or friends to share your experience. Not one complaint from me :)

First Look Sonogram is ALWAYS such an amazing experience!
My wife and I have come here several times over the past few years, the first couple of times for our first son, and a couple of times since for our second son.
I’ve already written a glowing review for this place as it has already been a rewarding experience with the DVD packages we received for our first son.
But this most recent experience for our second son has really blown us out if the water!
We have always received excellent service from First Look Sonogram, but the first thing we noticed upon our most recent visit was the clear upgrade the company has undergone since our previous visits. The lobby is SO much cleaner than before and there is now an entertainment center that distracts the little ones from the tedium of the wait room!
In fact, we had arrived half an hour early and told the new owner that we planned on walking the beach before we came back for our appointment. But those plans were thwarted by the conversation we sparked up with the new owner of First Look Sonogram, Matteo!
Our first visits to First Look Sonogram have always been wonderful. But I couldn’t tell you the name of the previous owner as he never really gave us much attention. He was a ghost always lurking in the background.
The new owner Matteo spoke to us and truly made us feel welcome to First Look Sonogram as we’d never felt before!

We found out sex of our baby at 14 weeks here. Nice large area for family to sit and watch baby. Technician was very sweet. Cost was 50 dollars, for 5 minute gender reveal 3 D scan. We got some clear pics of our little guy too. Check website for price on other packages.

I was very disappointed with our experience here. I came in at 32 weeks for an ultrasound, but we couldn’t see anything because the baby was breech. I knew she was breech before we signed up, so I wish I had been informed that if your baby is breech, these ultrasounds don’t work.
We could see her face in 2D, but not 4D for whatever reason. They gave me time to walk around but she didn’t really change position so they had us reschedule to come in again. You can’t reschedule for a weekend time slot, you can only come back during the week, so we both had to take off from work for the 2^nd ultrasound at 35 weeks. Baby was still breech so we still couldn’t see anything in 4D.
Definitely not worth the $ 85 we paid for the 4D package. We were supposed to get a CD with a total of 20 4D pictures, 3 – 5 printed color 4D pictures, and 5 – 10 printed black/​white 4D pictures. What we got was 13 black/​white 2D images and 1 4D image on a CD as well as 7 printed black/​white 2D images. And the images were pretty bad, I’ve gotten much better images at my OB’s office. I’m not sure why we weren’t given 4D images or able to see the ultrasound in 4D of other parts of the baby, even if we couldn’t see her face. That is, after all, what we had paid for.
I get that the position of the baby is not the fault of First Look, but I feel pretty ripped off by the experience. We should have still been able to see something in 4D or at least received a really quality 2D experience with all of the items we paid for. Just know before you go in, that if you don’t have the luck of a cooperating baby, this will not be worth it for you.
Also worth noting, you pick your package and pay for it all upfront, as well as sign a waiver, so if your baby isn’t in the correct position, you won’t know until it’s too late. If you really want to see your baby in 4D, I would recommend buying the smallest 2D package and then upgrading if baby is in a good position.
