FLEE The Ultimate Real Life Escape Game

This was very unique… I had some people go and they were all under 18 and apparently that’s a no go because even though they have video cameras and liability forms about damaging property you still have to play with your friends stalky parents… It was beyond annoying… The clues themselves were sub par as I played the Prison Escape game… I would definitely not play with the full 8 people as some of the parts were less than the size of a closet. It was a pretty good experience but I’ve played ones that are far better… If you want an easy start this is the place to go, but if your kids want to have a birthday party don’t go there otherwise your kids will be mad because their parents have to sit in there with you and ruin your experience that you wanted to have with your friends.

We played the room with the theme prison escape. The games were pretty well designed — they were tight to the theme, many puzzles could be solved independently of each another, and there was an optional puzzle (if you could find it) that leaded to a bonus clue. The part I enjoyed the most was in the beginning we were broken down to two sub-​teams where our puzzles sort of tied together and we needed to help each other out a bit. I was expecting some sort of physical puzzle but there wasn’t any (in our room).
In general a fun experience. Probably good for team building, family night out, or if you simply have an hour to kill.

We played magic word land and it was an awesome game. Very fun and good for 6 people!

Really nice place to spend some time at. Challenge yourself is always a great thing and fun thing to do. Once you come in, you will love it.

A lot of time and thought went into the prison room. It’s a simple idea… a guard is helping you escape and has left you clues to get out while the other guard is off duty.
My husband and I have done a lot of escape rooms. I am the type of person that feels bit steamrolled in places like this so we decided to try and do this room all by ourselves!
We almost escaped! There were a few user errors. She explained how the locks work beforehand but I was too hyped up on adrenaline to figure that out. Having someone else in the jail cell with me would have made the difference there.
There were also some glitches in their equipment and I think the final lock needs some instructions or you might get caught up on a stupid mistake.

They didn’t have the room properly prepared, electrics were not working so we kept trying to escape within the room but it was an electrical problem. There was also one person serving few rooms so we couldn’t get the help we needed when we needed it and the last puzzle that was supposed to open the last door didn’t matter since it was already open, takes the experience out of it all!

We did the Dream room and the Museum Heist.
I would actually give Museum Heist a 5 star and Dream room a 4 star. The main reason is that the Dream room has some defective gears that makes the escape a bit more frustrating.
I really enjoy the 2 rooms because they are more well designed than other places that just have one dimensional puzzles.
Definitely recommended.

We had fun. It’s a must try if u didn’t do it before. I am putting 4 stars because of the price. Paying 27 $ per person is just too much. It should be 75 $/​room or something.

I went with 7 friends to try the Egyptian room. We had a great time and finished with 4 minutes left and needed to use every hint. The puzzles were well thought out and besides one puzzle that required a bit of precision, everything felt fair. We will definitely come back to try another room.

We played Egypt room. The decoration is brilliant! Puzzles are novel and special. Great place for bonding or team event.

We tried it out during our holiday stay in Seattle and our friends took us there. It’s really a fun experience and I was impressed by all those tricks in the dream traveller theme. Would definitely try others out next time in Seattle!

Our group tried the Dream Traveler room.
The atmosphere was fantastic, and it gets better from one room to another. (this is also my first multi-​room experience) The back story really helped enhance the puzzle because it’s not just about brute forcing through a mental exercise that can be placed anywhere without context.
Definitely would come back to try other rooms!

I went there with my friends and tried the dream traveler room. It was awesome! Before entering the room, the host will gave us a background story and some information to bring into the room, and we will use whatever we can find to solve the puzzles to escape. What really impressed me is that the puzzles are not as simple as figuring out the combination for locks, there are many other gadgets that will absolutely surprise you! I can see that the owner put LOTS of thoughts into the design and it worked out really well. The puzzles are pretty difficult, yet they make sense.
And when you think you have finished all the puzzles and it was freedom behind the door you are about to open… Boom! You are wrong!
No kidding, I was so into this thing when I was playing, I went home and dreamt about the game the entire night! Man it was fun!
I plan to go back with my friends and try the other rooms. Owner told us they are all different themed, and of different levels of difficulty and focuses (some for puzzle solving and some for physical actions).
I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who is curious and like a bit of challenge.

Room escape puzzle is something I personally like and enjoy doing. There are several places offering this type of game in Seattle area, and FLEE is the newest one.
FLEE offers unique experience as there are 5 different rooms all with different themes and story-​lines. Rooms are designed for relative small groups (4 – 7 people). The puzzles are not too hard for beginners, but in-​depth enough to keep pros busy.
Did test runs for 2 rooms and I would say the puzzle designers really put lots of thoughts into the rooms. It is not something only hardcore puzzle solvers can enjoy, but people with various skill-​sets and experience levels would equally have a fun time.

This Flee escape is the best I ever went to. It is so organized and their stuffs are so friendly and helpful. We tried the Dream Room, it was so much fun! The design was so great and smart! I will definitely bring my friends here again.

Original review: I have done (and escaped from) rooms at 4 different room escape franchises and this was far and away the worst. We did the prison escape and spent a ton of time staring around with no clue what to do. Once you found the right thing you did it and it was done. No figuring out needed, no real puzzles, just find the next tool and use it. There was a very small section with some figuring out to open a couple boxes, and that was definitely the best part, but it was maybe 5 minutes of figuring and then back to staring blankly wondering what to do next. One solution didn’t lead you to the next, it was just a series of eventually finding something and using it. Other places I’ve been stuck on puzzles, messing with things trying to find clues, having tools I don’t know how to use yet, but not this staring blankly at the wall with nothing to do and no idea how to find it. I was ready to write it off as not my style, but when the final clue we couldn’t figure out because they used the wrong English word (the guy finally used the single word clue in a sentence to hint us and we figured out what they meant) I was done.
In their defense we did pick one of the easiest rooms to do, maybe the harder rooms are more puzzle dense and thus more enjoyable for my style, but that wouldn’t fix the problem of not having someone who speaks English as a first language make sure all the puzzles were not straight up wrong.
ETA The owners saw my review and contacted me and explained to me that the prison break is more manual and others, like the museum heist, more puzzle based. I didn’t find this clear on their website and didn’t know, but given this and that they’ve been in business 3 weeks, and that they were great at communicating before we went, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. The room we did wasn’t my style, and it was very poorly edited, and in my opinion it was poorly done, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s all bad. Just be aware of what you’re signing up for. My room experience was 1 star but I hope they’ll improve.
Second update: I was trying to be kind and not harm their business, but this is bothering me. The company originally e-​mailed me after figuring out who I was and told me they’d refund me in full if I took my review down (basically offering to pay me to remove a negative review). They told me my review could sink their new business and begged me to take it down. I politely told them no and advised them not to ask people to change their reviews, especially not to offer to pay them for it, since Unilocal doesn’t allow that, wished them the best, and said I’d up the review to 3 stars so it didn’t hurt them too badly. It continued to rankle, though, because I felt guilted and bullied into changing my honest and fair review, which is completely against Unilocal TOS. After time as they got more high reviews I felt like they could now handle my honest review and changed it back. They e-​mailed me again asking me to return it to 3 stars, and when I didn’t reply and left it as is contacted me through Unilocal and again asked me to change it back to 3 stars. Supposedly Unilocal doesn’t allow this, but there is no way to report the business for it. Given that they offered to pay me to take down my negative review, I’d take all of their almost exclusively positive reviews with a grain of salt.

We had 8 people playing the Prison Break last night which was a bit too many (4 — 6 might be perfect). Nevertheless, it was an incredible compelling experience. Clever puzzles, amazing scene settings. Everything feels so real. Makes me thinking about the solutions even when I’m not playing it. Absolutely loved it!

Nice place to have fun with friends. See if you smart enough to reach the final. Really challenge puzzle and exciting story. Highly recommend it.

We did a test run last week. This is my first time playing a real life escape game and the experience is amazing. It is definitely not a hardcore gamer only experience! People with not much experience and skills could still offer lots of help in solving the room. We had so much fun and it definitely feels achieved to be able to finish the test run in time!

There are five different themes. We only tried one of them and it was great. Definitely will come back for other theme rooms.

I tried out one of their theme rooms, called «Prison Room». It’s one of the best escape room I have tried.
I will try to give a detailed review without giving out any spoiler here. I like the theme decorations and design of the puzzles. All of the puzzles can be solved through logic and the clues given in the room, in a way that I don’t feel frustrated while trying to solve the puzzles. The puzzles are also very well connected to the main story theme. One plus thing is that the staffs are very nice and my whole group was very well taken care of.
I highly recommend this place if you want a brain workout! Can’t wait to try out other rooms they have!
