Tyler is super thorough. You’ll be able to count on a very detailed and unbiased report at the end of your inspection. He’s extremely easy to get ahold of and schedule and appointment with. I have used him on two inspections now, and as long as he has availability he will have my business.

I have owned a lot of real estate including residential and commercial. I recently used Tyler Mittendorf and First Choice Inspection for a large property. He was extremely thorough and provided me a very detailed report. He has made my purchase much more comfortable and I will be using him again in the future.

We found Tyler Mittendorf (owner and sole inspector for the business) on Angie’s list. Top ratings. Called him on Tuesday and he was able to come out to inspect a condo that we wanted to buy on Thursday. He is the best inspector we had ever seen!
He charged us $ 325 for the service. With Angie’s List, there is an additional $ 25 discount. His price is a bit steeper than most inspectors for an 1,100 sq ft condo. But the quality is incredible.
(We previously paid $ 300 for a guy to inspect a 2,400 sq ft home. Thought it was a great deal. But it turned out to be the crappiest job we’d ever seen. The report didn’t get to us until a week later. It was hand-​written, with a few check boxes, and was all of 3 – 4 pages. He missed so many things that the appraiser later caught… and it ended up costing us the deal on the house.)
Tyler was open to explaining to us what we were curious about as he went along. He came with all sorts of equipment, took pictures, voice recorded what he saw, and best of all, in my opinion, he kept a mellow, humble attitude about things.
He typically schedules two inspections a day: 9:30 and 1:30. The inspection of our condo took him just under 2 hours. By 5pm, he will usually have the report emailed to you!
