History

Established in 1996.

Our roots are in construction management, hence «CM» Inspection Services and we have worked with owners and architects to manage the construction of residential and commercial buildings in San Francisco, CA; Incline Village, NV (Lake Tahoe); Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. We have managed all the trades required to successfully build quality residential and commercial structures from the ground up — both in snow country and the moist climates of Seattle and the coast of California. We know how buildings should be built — and the details necessary to make them last. We are ideally suited to inspect your property and to determine the quality of its construction.

In the early 90’s I studied architecture, historic preservation and construction management at the University of California, Berkeley while working with Christopher Alexander, Professor Emeritus as a subcontractor. I then worked for Paragon General Contractors as project manager before starting my own business.

We bring our decades of construction knowledge to inspections and have the «hands-​on» job site experience that differentiates us from other inspection companies. Although inspection training and continuing education are an important baseline — nothing can replace the decades of experience in building structures from the ground up.

We have invested in the latest technology and bring a vast array of specialized equipment to assist in the inspection. This sizable investment has given us not only the ability to give you, our client, the home inspection you deserve, but allows us to convey our findings in a understandable way.
